Job Description
Guards, patrols, and polices industrial premises to protect property and personnel against fire, theft, vandalism, illegal entry, and other hazards. Periodically tours premises; examines doors, windows, and gates to determine that they are secure; observes departing personnel to guard against thefts of company property; inspects equipment and stores to ascertain if tampering has occurred; reports irregularities; sounds alarm; and permits authorized persons to enter property. Examines credentials of persons desiring entrance to restricted areas. May be required to direct traffic on company premises. May use force of arms to carry out assignments as required and detain persons committing illegal acts. Required to certify to NRA standards on the firing range.
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and Four (4) years experience in Marine Security, Industrial Security, Military Security or experience in security or plant protection.
Preferred Qualifications
Ten years Active Duty or Reserve Military with active Secret (or higher) level Security Clearance.
Law Enforcement Officer with twelve years of experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or Emergency Management fields with four years of security/law enforcement/military experience (or mix of).
Mississippi Scholars Tech Master certification preferred.

The Role
The E37 RT team consists of RT Test Examiners and Interpreters utilizing film and computed radiography to evaluate pipe, structural welds, castings, and welder qualification specimens.
Performs non-destructive tests (NDT). Inspects metallic and nonmetallic materials, parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including radiography, ultrasound, penetrant, eddy current, laser shearography, and magnetic particle. Requires certifications in non-destructive testing in accordance with regulations.
Must Have
Associate's Degree and 6 years of relevant experience.
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Associate's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
High School/GED and 2 years related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
High School/GED and 4 years of non-related Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience
Nice to Have
Experience to include casting, pipe, and structure. Ability to clearly communicate spec requirements to suppliers. Extensive knowledge and experience (min. 10 years certified Level II RT Interpreter) in evaluation of nuclear and non-nuclear castings, pipe, and structure radiographic images. Strong communication skills and attention to detail. Requires ability to provide technical mentorship to NNS RT, weld, and manufacturing personnel as well as supplier base.

The Role
Newport News Shipbuilding's Automation Controls and Networking Department (E44) is seeking an experienced software engineer knowledgeable of software and database design and development characteristic of shipboard control system. The successful candidate will join a group of software developers responsible for the design and implementation of shipboard distributed control system software associated with various HM&E systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for the gathering and assessment of shipboard information, characterization of said data into design attributes compatible with control system software, design, development and deployment of consumable databases, and integration of said design databases into control and monitoring application software.
Typical activities include: Designs, develops, documents, tests and debugs applications software and systems that contain logical and mathematical solutions. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. The Role
Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. The Role
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of the construction process for AOR including defining the project scope, goals and deliverables that support build strategy and key event schedule. Manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders to ensure quality and safety standards are met and that work is being performed as scheduled within contract specifications. Identify and expedite the resolution of design, material, grouping, scheduling, manpower, or other problems that could risk accomplishment of critical path work. Liaise with trades' management to control cost performance within AOR, to include determination of overtime requirements and identification/management of cost drivers. Assess all growth work and/or contract funded point changes are evaluated to ensure funding is authorized and work is integrated and achievable within schedule. Identify impact and potential risks and devise contingency plans. Job Description
An Ingalls Welder is responsible for the joining together of different types of metal materials with a variety of welding processes; the most basic of which are, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) also known as "stick welding- and Flux-Core Arc Welding (FCAW) also known as -wire welding.- The shipyard environment is an around the clock manufacturing setting. Ingalls shipyard production areas at times involve working at different heights, confined spaces, different weather conditions as well as multiple shifts 24 hours a day. As with most every position in the shipyard, a Welder may be required to work either day or night dependent upon the number of ships under construction at any one point in time. Ingalls stresses the practice of working safely in all situations with safety procedures meeting, and most times, exceeding industry standards.

This position is for an Entry Level Shipfitter.
Shipfitters are responsible for fabrication, assembling and erection of metal parts in the construction of marine vessels. Shipfitters utilize torches, metric and standard tape measures, hammers, levels, welding equipment, plus other job specific tooling. Shipfitting requires the use of measuring devices, basic math and reading in their daily tasking. Skills training will be provided to all candidates.

Mission Technologies is looking for an Electro-Magnetic Interference / Electro-Magnetic Compatibility (EMI/EMC) engineer.
Applicant shall have significant USAF C-17 and C-130 on-aircraft communications system experience with aircraft EMC test and evaluation and Safety of Flight (SOF) test knowledge. Other aircraft platform experience will be helpful.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Position requires substantial technical interaction with the DoD sponsor and final customer. Must be able to manage multiple projects as assigned and to respond to quick response requests from USAF, U.S. Army, JSOC, MDA, C-17, C-130, KC-135 aircraft SPOs, and inter-service customers. Interact daily with military, government, and civilian contractors alike.
Engineer will function as the Test Conductor on a wide range of USAF system evaluations for compliance with EMI/EMC requirements on different aircraft in preparation for system Military Flight Release. Must be familiar with new equipment installations and for assessing roll-on/roll-off communications systems and airborne launch equipment platforms onboard USAF aircraft.
This experienced engineer will have effective knowledge in the analysis, design, and test aspects of related EMI/EMC standards and limitations with proven knowledge and technical expertise of the discipline.
In addition the candidate shall develop comprehensive EMC Test Plans, Maintenance Group Test Support documents, compile collected data, and generate final EMC Test Report documents.
The candidate shall be familiar with an extensive selection of spectrum analyzer and RF test equipment and devices.

HII - Mission Technologies Division is seeking an Emerging Technologies Technical Management Consultant to provide engineering and technical services to support the Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) Emerging Technology Portfolio's facilitation of innovative defense solutions which plays a critical role in maintaining the United States' national security posture and delivering critical capabilities directly to warfighters. Key Responsibilities:
The contractor shall provide engineering and technical services to support the Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) Emerging Technology Portfolio's facilitation of innovative defense solutions, which plays a critical role in maintaining the United States' national security posture and delivering critical capabilities directly to warfighters. Provides a range of support, within their area of expertise and experience, to the Emerging Technology Portfolio Lead in science and technology relevant to defense and commercial applications.

Design, support and facilitate DIU prototype projects leveraging Other Transactions and related authorities.

Develop program goals, milestones and plans for implementation collaboratively with DoD entities, customers, and program offices. Possible Duties:

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a multi-functional Logistician with a strong background in procurement, budget, and transportation to serve as a Logistics Manager in support of Personnel Recovery / Casualty Evacuation (PR/CASEVAC) services for the United States Africa Command (USAFRICOM). The Logistics Manager conducts various logistics functions, ranging from facility management to material inventories, acquisition, micro-purchasing, and property accountability. Develops requirements for and manages Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and assists with goods and services invoice reconciliation. As a Senior Analytic Editor, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely information to our customers. You will have the opportunity to showcase your writing and editing skills while adhering to reporting policy guidance and style standards. Your contributions will be vital in shaping intelligence products that inform and guide decision-making for our customers.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Draft, review, and edit reports and/or other intelligence products in accordance with information sharing policies and standards.
Quality assurance reviews to ensure that products conform to reporting policy guidance and style standards
Provide input to the government in response to RFIs and post-publication requests
Minimum Qualifications
Highschool Diploma or GED
