Under direct supervision, assigned daily work. May explain instructions and documentation to plan work activities. Helps coordinate movement of materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work site. Completes and reviews records, maintains tools and equipment, and performs various clean up activities. Job may require moderate to heavy lifting. Observes and follows all safety rules and procedures, including wearing required personal safety equipment.

Who You Are

Responsible for the overall operation of a technical/business library or resource center, including acquisition, circulation, cataloging, research and search requests. Orders, inventories and circulates journals and provides information to authorized users for use in technical projects, proposal preparation, marketing, planning and the like. Participates in the continual enhancement of library services, acquisition of equipment and improvement of methods. May interface with staff and management in the selection of subscriptions and reference materials. May have some budgetary responsibilities Expands skills in own work area within an analytical/scientific method or operational process. Maintains appropriate licenses, training and/or certifications, as needed. Applies experience and skills to complete assigned work within own area of expertise. Works within standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA , and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Librarian, you will:

  • Manage technical resources, including books, journals, and electronic media.

  • Catalog and maintain technical documents and archives.

  • Assist users in finding technical resources and provide research assistance.

  • Implement and manage library management systems and databases.

  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in library science, Information Science, or a related field.

  • 3-5+ years of experience in managing a technical library or similar resources.

  • Strong organizational and IT skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Must possess an active U.S Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility required. Willingness to take a polygraph and upgrade clearance as required.

Under supervision, troubleshoots electrical systems circuitry. What You'll Do

As an Electrician Maintenance you will:

  • Troubleshoot Electrical Systems: Diagnose problems within electrical systems circuitry under supervision, utilizing advanced troubleshooting skills and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems.

  • Use Test and Calibration Equipment: Operate various test and calibration equipment to assess and ensure proper function of instrument system electrical components.

Qualifications:

  • Previous Role Experience: Experience as an Electrical Controls Mechanic Senior or a similar role, indicating advanced knowledge and skills in electrical systems.

  • High School Diploma or GED: Required as a basic educational foundation.

  • Technical or Vocational Training: Training from a vocational school, technical school, or apprenticeship in electrical systems is highly recommended.

  • Certified Electrician License: Depending on the state or locality, a license may be required to legally perform electrical work.

Directly responsible for the oversight of the Procurement and Materials team and the profit/loss of a revenue center, major product line, or support function.     Required Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  • Possess and maintain current certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or the Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) through the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa). Maintenance of one of these certifications shall be an enduring element of the requirement.

  • Minimum of 5 years or more of demonstrable accumulated experience (continuous and sustained experience preferred) of developing long and short-range planning and coordination of sport/mission specific performance programs resulting in attributable results with individual athletes and groups of athletes at the levels of NCAA Division I, Olympic, professional, and/or SOF Operators in the accompanying, respective settings. Paid full-time experience as a Government Civilian or contract employee at US Army and/or Marine Corps Infantry Units, may be counted towards minimum qualification requirements, provided this experience was gained within the most recent, continuous 3 years, as a directly embedded staff member, on-site with respective Army and/or Marine Corp entities.

  • Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

  • Current certification in basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) to include Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts work activities in a manner consistent with Client and KBR Core Values.

  • Typically managing a number of projects simultaneously, handling internal prioritization of resources and coordination with plants to determine installation windows and necessary plant resourcing to support permitting, operating discipline updates, and training needs.

  • Coordinates on a routine basis with KBR home office engineering and project controls disciplines in support of small and large capital projects

  • Works with Manufacturing Technology team in identifying non-cap alternatives or lower capital options, utilizing the appropriate value improving practices.

  • Implements best practices, evaluates scope options, conducts risk analysis and develops mitigation plans.

  • Makes strategic project decisions and provides status updates throughout execution of all aspects of the project.

  • Ensures excellence in alignment to process safety management (PSM), environmental, health & safety (EH&S), mechanical integrity and quality assurance (MIQA), export controls and trade secrets principles, and other core value standards, processes and procedures.

  • Serves as the owner's lead project engineer to ensure necessary engineering processes are followed, leveraging highly with engineering and construction management contractors.

    Requirements/Qualifications
