Who You Are

Assists the Superintendent by providing input to identify key success factors for the HVAC crew. Provides leadership to cause the creation of organizational structure and processes required to fully execute the requirements of services and is responsible for the execution of HVAC mechanical services, quality, and cost. Directs the activities of HVAC mechanics who install, service, and repair environmental-control and other commercial establishments, utilizing knowledge of refrigeration theory, pipefitting and structural layout. Evaluates HVAC service execution for compliance to contract, design data, schedule, cost budgets, and quality, advising the project team of status, issues, impacts, risk, and cost influence factors on -to go- scope. Maintains the short range look ahead plans and discusses all deviations with the Superintendent. Reviews and monitors cost and man-hour budget for installation process, develops an equipment and tool requirement plan, and reviews it with the Superintendent.

This role will be located in Chantilly, VA , and will be expected to travel between our facilities in Chantilly and Springfield, VA. This position is expected to be onsite 100%.

What You'll Do

As a Master HVAC Technician, you will:

  • Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

  • Train and mentor junior technicians.

  • Ensure quality control and compliance with all installation, service, and repair standards.

  • Maintain Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that all installations and repairs meet or exceed the set standards.

  • Facilitate Team Communication: Ensure clear and consistent communication within the team and with other project stakeholders to keep everyone informed and aligned on project goals and updates.

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • This position requires a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) U.S. Security Clearance with a Polygraph is required to start.

  • Advanced certification from recognized HVAC institutions.

  • 5+ years of extensive experience as an HVAC technician, with additional supervisory experience.

  • Expert knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.

  • Leadership skills and excellent problem-solving abilities.

  • Attention to Detail: Precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality service delivery and compliance with safety standards.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing conditions, technologies, and requirements.

  • Decision-Making Ability: Strong decision-making skills to resolve issues quickly and effectively under pressure.
