As a Client Protection Fraud Strategy Analyst, you will capitalize on your technical abilities and strategic thinking to solve business challenges and seek opportunities for improvement. The Digital Fraud team focuses on identifying criminals posing as customers who are intentionally trying to steal from the bank and deceive clients. You will join a team of fraud professionals who are dedicated to stopping criminals and protecting customers from both fraud, scams and money mule activity. In the role you will spend time analyzing difficult problems to effectively manage an evolving fraud attack environment. You will develop complex defenses designed to minimize the impact to good customers while maximizing fraud loss avoidance. You will work across multiple partner organizations and represent our team as a subject matter expert. We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, sound business judgement, and is results oriented with a track record of thriving in a fast paced entrepreneurial environment.

Responsible for performing more complex analysis and strategy development for multiple money movement products with the goal of maximizing profits and asset growth and minimizing risk and operating losses and/or other financial and marketing exposures. Other responsibilities include:

Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data.

Support biometrics capability enhancements and strategy design

Build and develop logic for strategy

Utilizes portfolio trends to propose strategy and policy changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results.

Role would also include project scope leadership where candidate would be responsible for providing fraud requirements, testing, and development of strategies

Excels at risk/reward trade off.

Participates in the rollout of leading-edge machine learning technology

Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors.

Required Qualifications:

3+ years of fraud experience and/or 2+ years of analytical experience (Payment card /Retail Bank background preferred)

Proficient in SAS/SQL and Excel

Strong quantitative, critical thinking, and analytical skills

Ability to communicate and interact with a high degree of professionalism with executive level personnel across the business

Ability to work independently as well as part of a virtual team

Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo

Ability to proactively identify, analyze, and improve upon existing processes for optimization and to meet deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

Fraud is an ever-changing landscape, where determined adversaries constantly attempt to gain access to customer accounts. We are looking for an energetic, inquisitive and talented data scientist to join our team to help stop financial crime. In this role, you will be expected to work with our lead data scientist and the team executive as well as our internal strategy, technology, product, and policy partners to deploy advanced analytical solutions with the goal of reducing fraud losses, lowering false positive impacts, improving client experience, and ensuring the Bank minimizes its total cost of fraud.

Some tasks that this role may be responsible for include (but are not limited to):

  • Link Analysis/Graph analytics to find and mitigate deeply connected fraud networks and detect new accounts being added to these networks

  • Presentation of work to all levels of the organization including senior leadership

The Alert Prioritization Analytics team within the Client Protection Organization is looking for experienced analytical professionals to join our growing team. We are focused on driving operational and process efficiency to protect the accounts of our clients and minimize both client disruption and fraud loss. Analysts will have the opportunity to gain exposure to just about all products across Consumer and Small Business, including application fraud, digital money movement like Zelle, account take over, credit and debit cards.

We are tasked with developing mitigation strategy and tactics spanning first party fraud, third party fraud and scams. Implementation opportunities will span fraud rule changes, policy modifications, queue sequencing optimization and issuance of digital client communication through text, email and push channels. We are looking for smart, energetic candidates with strong technical backgrounds, a great sense of urgency and an excellent approach to teamwork. We do not require you to have a background in fraud, and while this is advantageous, we can teach you what you need to know as long as you have the right technical skills.

You will be responsible for performing more complex analysis and modeling for multiple products with the goal of maximizing client experience while minimizing risk and operating expenses. Focus areas will be:

  • Developing complex, repeatable queries to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data.

  • Develop insightful portfolio monitoring to track both fraud attack risks and performance changes due to strategic implementations.

  • Assess fraud performance tradeoffs through the modification of fraud alert volume review sequencing and policy changes.

  • Utilize portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results.

  • Build relationships and drive business initiatives across various Client Protection strategies, policy, operations and technology areas. Participates in the rollout of machine learning/AI tools developed to improve performance and monitoring of our operational and strategy performance.

  • Drive and support funded technology projects across applicable LOBs, including new product launches, client contact capability enhancements and machine learning based insights.

This job is responsible for providing comprehensive advice and customized solutions to clients to help them achieve their financial goals. The Function

The Client Outreach team are the front line unit who work with clients as part of meeting Know Your Client (KYC) periodic refresh and remediation requirements. We work in close collaboration with Global Corporate and Investment Bankers and Global Markets Sales to support the Bank's global regulatory and policy requirements as it relates Client Due Diligence (CDD) documentation collection, with support from Operations and Global Financial Crimes Risk teams.

Job Description:

The Global Financial Crime (-GFC-) Executive I contributes to the direction and drives the development of enterprise-wide money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud compliance and operational risk practices consistent with applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance. The GFC Executive I serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Compliance and Operational Risk (-C&OR-) Officers of the Front Line Units (-FLU-) and Control Functions (-CF-) for the company and to the leaders of the FLUs and CFs directly.

This role is responsible for executing the Company's Global Financial Crimes Program related to Global Payments and requires a strong risk management discipline and experience with operational risk processes. This role will lead a team responsible for identifying and assessing inherent financial crimes risk and controls associated with Global Payments, Money services businesses/Fintech and Correspondent Banking. This role is responsible for advising the front line units (FLUs) on Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering laws, rules and regulations and the Global Financial Crimes Policy and Standards. This individual will be responsible for leading a team accountable for identifying, escalating and mitigating financial crimes compliance and operational risk. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and communicating the effectiveness of FLU controls and be able to drive the consistent improvement and strengthening of these controls to improve upon the Company's ability to detect and prevent unusual or suspicious activity.

Responsibilities

  • Leading discussions with the Global Payments Services Front Line Unit (FLU), Global Banking FLUs, Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GCOR) and Global Financial Crimes (GFC) partners to analyze business processes, internal controls, client behavior and transaction trends.

  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of GFC Coverage Plan which defines the scope of coverage for Global Payments Services and Global Banking FLUs - U.S and International.

  • Establishing the strategic direction for monitoring and reporting on GFC, FLU and Enterprise risk tolerance metrics that are reflective of key risks within the areas of coverage and escalating financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues to appropriate governance routines, management/board level committees.

  • Engaging with the Financial Crimes Analytics Team the Financial Intelligence Unit to drive thematic reviews of key risks associated with high risk products, payment channels, and clients and to ensure effective GFC automated detection monitoring

  • Directing the completion compliance activities such as: designing monitoring and testing routines and reporting to identify potential AML risks and/or control weaknesses; conducting targeted risk assessments, threat assessments and process understandings to identify new or emerging financial crimes risks; and identifying, aggregating, reporting, escalating, inspecting and challenging the remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes.

  • Guiding FLUs on potential financial crimes impacts in the client selection and product expansion processes.

  • Participating in Regulatory Meetings and Exams to provide Risk Manager perspective on critical issues and engaging directly with Audit to provide advice and guidance on FLU Audits and respond to all Audit requests and inquiries.

  • Participating in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations, emerging legislation and regulation, political scrutiny, litigation and key influencers to identify and mitigate emerging risks.

Job Description:

The Global Financial Crime (-GFC-) Executive I contributes to the direction and drives the development of enterprise-wide money laundering, economic sanctions, and fraud compliance and operational risk practices consistent with applicable laws, rules, regulations and regulatory guidance. The GFC Executive I serves as a trusted advisor to the Chief Compliance and Operational Risk (-C&OR-) Officers of the Front Line Units (-FLU-) and Control Functions (-CF-) for the company and to the leaders of the FLUs and CFs directly.

This role is responsible for executing the Company's Global Financial Crimes Program related to Global Payments and requires a strong risk management discipline and experience with operational risk processes. This role will lead a team responsible for identifying and assessing inherent financial crimes risk and controls associated with Global Payments, Money services businesses/Fintech and Correspondent Banking. This role is responsible for advising the front line units (FLUs) on Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering laws, rules and regulations and the Global Financial Crimes Policy and Standards. This individual will be responsible for leading a team accountable for identifying, escalating and mitigating financial crimes compliance and operational risk. This individual will be responsible for evaluating and communicating the effectiveness of FLU controls and be able to drive the consistent improvement and strengthening of these controls to improve upon the Company's ability to detect and prevent unusual or suspicious activity.

Responsibilities

  • Leading discussions with the Global Payments Services Front Line Unit (FLU), Global Banking FLUs, Global Compliance & Operational Risk (GCOR) and Global Financial Crimes (GFC) partners to analyze business processes, internal controls, client behavior and transaction trends.

  • Contributing to the creation and implementation of GFC Coverage Plan which defines the scope of coverage for Global Payments Services and Global Banking FLUs - U.S and International.

  • Establishing the strategic direction for monitoring and reporting on GFC, FLU and Enterprise risk tolerance metrics that are reflective of key risks within the areas of coverage and escalating financial crimes related compliance and operational risks and issues to appropriate governance routines, management/board level committees.

  • Engaging with the Financial Crimes Analytics Team the Financial Intelligence Unit to drive thematic reviews of key risks associated with high risk products, payment channels, and clients and to ensure effective GFC automated detection monitoring

  • Directing the completion compliance activities such as: designing monitoring and testing routines and reporting to identify potential AML risks and/or control weaknesses; conducting targeted risk assessments, threat assessments and process understandings to identify new or emerging financial crimes risks; and identifying, aggregating, reporting, escalating, inspecting and challenging the remediation and thematic analysis of FLU/CF-owned issues and control enhancements related to financial crimes.

  • Guiding FLUs on potential financial crimes impacts in the client selection and product expansion processes.

  • Participating in Regulatory Meetings and Exams to provide Risk Manager perspective on critical issues and engaging directly with Audit to provide advice and guidance on FLU Audits and respond to all Audit requests and inquiries.

  • Participating in industry forums and monitors regulatory expectations, emerging legislation and regulation, political scrutiny, litigation and key influencers to identify and mitigate emerging risks.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of executive level experience in AML/Sanctions compliance or equivalent

  • Experience in payments and payments-adjacent funds flows (e.g., fiat-to-crypto) and ideally providing this expertise to individualized scenarios and client types across the globe

  • Experience with U.S., and ideally also with international, sanctions interpretation, due diligence, alert review, issue management, and regulatory engagement

  • Executive level and Board level communication experience

The Service Delivery Analyst is responsible for the delivery of program-wide routine reporting to partners within GIS and to leadership.

The Analyst will be responsible for the aggregate analysis and synthesis of the threats and risks evaluated through the Cyber Threat Defense (CTD) organization to report the bank's changing risk exposure to known threats and amplify key themes to forums to multiple audiences across GIS and to leadership. The Analyst will work closely with CTD leaders to engage in requests for information and build out reporting responsive to GIS partner, 2nd, 3rd line and regulator requests. This role will develop and deliver custom reporting to respond to ad hoc requests for the CTD Program in a manner that is collaborative with all Program function leads. The Analyst will work closely with the Service Delivery Functional lead and Partner Engagement Lead, peer Analysts and leads across the CTD functions to drive awareness of all threats and risks as they are evaluated throughout the program. They will work in an environment that is open and collaborative with a global presence.

Knowledge and experience creating risk-based reporting and synthesizing themes are key to this role. The role requires an individual with both strong interpersonal skills to build trusted relationships across the CTD Program, GIS and 2nd and 3rd line, and also requires strong data analysis skills to efficiently integrate data and deliver narratives to support awareness, advocacy, and understanding of risk exposure and mitigation opportunities. This role will rely on the relationships across the organization, and the individual must be willing to work with others to solve new and challenging problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This function within the Cyber Threat Defense Program is 3 years old and continues to expand to adapt to growing demands. This unit is centralized within the CTD Organization to manage engagement across the CTD Program, and to manage 2nd, 3rd line and regulatory activities across the CTD organization, and as such offers an outstanding opportunity for the right candidate to demonstrate their skills.

Previous experience within cyber security is not required, but intellectual curiosity and an interest in exploring the domain is a must.

Required Skills

- Support CTD Program's routine engagements with partners

- Work with CTD Program leads to generate monthly reports for the oversight committees and partner reports

- Create in-depth reports (frequency TBD) on the banks risk of exposure to threats and risks

Job Description:

This job is responsible for performing end-to-end investigations or investigations support functions of external financial crimes activities across one or more lines of business. Key responsibilities include conducting routine to complex investigations, including fraud committed by external parties, money laundering, or terrorist financing and acting as the liaison to Law Enforcement as required. The Enterprise Credit Change Governance team is responsible for ensuring Enterprise Credit has effective change processes, risk and controls in place to govern and execute change in compliance with the Enterprise Change Policy and Standards. The Enterprise Credit Change Governance team manages the Intake process to review, prioritize and decision new initiative requests, manages the process to assess materiality of non-technology change, manages quality assurance and metrics to demonstrate compliance with the Enterprise Change Policy and Standards.

Responsibilities:

- Defines program controls, processes, procedures, reporting cadence, decision governance structures, and ways of working with key stakeholders

- Works closely with project sponsors, cross-functional teams, and assigned project managers to develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new change initiatives

- Monitors the execution of defined tasks through tracking of program milestones and their statuses, developing program plans, and measuring progress against ongoing key performance indicators

Job Description:

Assisting with Product Risk Management governance, high risk client oversight, policy and standard management and cryptocurrency policy administration as required.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Partnering with other team members to prepare for risk governance forums, including outreach to stakeholders to consult on and prepare required materials

  • Assist with Quality Assurance reviews of Product Risk and Global Payments Policy Standard assessments

  • Compile and deliver Product Risk Scorecards

This job is responsible for leading a group of team leaders and employees who develop strategies and drive analytics to understand portfolio risk, increase profitability, and optimize operational performance. Client Protection is looking for an experienced Fraud Prevention and Detection leader to manage the Digital Fraud Policy team. In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of fraud prevention and detection policies to defend the bank, and our clients, against fraud and scams. You will leverage your advanced understanding of Fraud and your advanced intrapersonal skills to work across multiple lines of business and partner with key stakeholders such as product, technology, operations, vendors, legal, and compliance to understand the business direction, overlay with current fraud environment and recommend solutions to prevent financial losses from fraud. Shared responsibility with strategy for the overall fraud loss line.

Responsibilities:

  • Establishes department-wide strategies and oversees portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance

  • Leads innovation by identifying and championing large scale initiatives that improve the risk management, profitability, and control oversight of risks for the business unit

  • Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management

  • Coaches employees on best practices for structuring complex problems, performing analysis, and communicating the results and implications of their work

  • Builds and maintains strategic relationships with peers and counterparts across product, technology, and business control functions

  • Lead, and develop, a team of Digital Fraud Policy strategists in the identification, investigation, and mitigation of fraud activity.

  • Identify trends/patterns in fraud activity and suggest rule/policy changes to mitigate fraud losses.

  • Leverage expert business/analytical knowledge to identify process/strategy deficiencies and provide recommendations for process improvement.

  • Monitor operational metrics and provide insight to management on business performance and make logical recommendations for improvements.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging threats, and technological advancements to continuously enhance fraud prevention methodologies.

  • Consult with internal partners on best practices, processes, and procedures to prevent financial losses from fraud.

  • May collaborate with outside Counsel and Litigation partners to develop strategy on litigated matters.
