Consultatively sell batteries, light bulbs and accessory items to retail and commercial customers. Pleasantly engage customers, listen to what they have to say about their batteries/systems and lighting needs, and recommend solutions. Perform battery tests, installations, and battery pack rebuilds. Contribute as a Team Member to the overall success of the store. Associates must be able to lift 50 + pounds, should have a valid driver's license, and must have access to reliable transportation.

Customer Service / Sales- While working: Live a "Customer First" mentality- Perform Customer Service / Sales duties.- Greet customers promptly, determine needs and answer questions.- Suggest needed sales add-on items, participate in retail store and commercial sales activities to achieve sales goals.- Ask questions to identify potential commercial customers.- Operate computer/cash register to initiate and complete sales transactions.- Answer phones, assist callers, and ensure messages are relayed in a timely, accurate manner.- Maintain the facility, inventory, property, and customer service levels to management standards.- Develop and maintain current knowledge of product and service offerings- Adhere to general and specific safety standards- Engage as a "can-do" team member. Proactively follow through on commitments and/or tasks needing to be performed.

Merchandising / Inventory- Rotate and stock inventory; perform inventory counts as required.- Install batteries, perform tests and tech work.- Load, unload, and deliver or arrange delivery of products.- Organize daily recovery of displays to achieve full store appearance.- Maintain retail shelf label pricing.- Build displays; setting up & taking down shelves and fixtures.- Prepare store for daily opening and closing.

Qualifications

- H.S. diploma/equivalent and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Prior retail experience preferred but not required.- Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's products, processes, point of sale, and cross reference systems.- Good listening and verbal communication skills with a customer focus.- Must possess and use organizational and analytical problem solving skills.- Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks to effectively prioritize, follow up, and meet deadlines with multiple tasks and projects.- Ability to calculate simple math, percents, ratios and algebraic expressions and read gauges.- Demonstrated technical aptitude and or technical experience desired.- Valid driver's license with clean driving record preferred.At Batteries Plus Bulbs, you are part of a small entrepreneurial team in a growing business.   • Conduct daily inspection of vehicle (report maintenance needs and deficiencies immediately)

  • Secure and safely transport material between buildings

  • Secure and prep the truck at the end of shift for the next shift

  • Load and unload straight truck with walkie-rider or hand operated pallet jack

  • Load and unload vendor's trailers with sit-down forklift or walkie-rider

  • Organize and stage product on the dock after unloading

  • Breakdown pallets, identify product, units of measurement (UOM) and accurately count product

  • Use scanning device to record and receive product into the system

  • Use forklifts and walkie-rider to move and organize equipment

  • Identify storage locations for product, accurately complete put away transaction

  • Follow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility. Wear proper PPE.

Description:

  • Assist the manager and store associates to achieve sales objectives and to maintain the facility. Develop general store management and operational skills.

    Duties :Operations Management

  • Demonstrate a "customer first" mentality

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma/equivalent and 6 months prior work experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Customer service and sales oriented with high motivation

  • Ability to gain quick and solid understanding of company's electronic retail and cross-referencing system

  • Demonstrated technical skill and have the ability to work small parts and tools for phone repair and device repair

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred. Required for driving positions

  • Ability to lift 50 + lbs

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for Motivated Associates who enjoy working with people and solving problems. Customer service is our business and we must exceed our customers' expectations. We do this by listening, asking questions, researching, and then offering a solution. A successful associate will identify and offer additional products that meet the needs of our customers. Most of our customers are not sure what will solve their problem; it is our associate's duty to find the solution. On a daily basis you will be working with Smart Phones, Batteries, Bulbs and other products that need to be tested and repaired. Additional duties included: answering phones, completing reports, inventory control, and general store management.

We are looking for associates eager to work, have a high level of computer aptitude, and who continually want to increase their index of knowledge. Being tech savvy is a huge benefit and will pay off with additional earning potential.

Ideal candidates will be: organized, be a self- starter, have excellent communication skills, listen more than they talk and be able to get to work by possessing a valid driver's license. If you have that type of skill set and experience in Retail Sales or device repair we want to talk to you.
