Qualifications

Requirements to be a Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technicians will maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on, but not limited to: HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment and emergency pull cord equipment. Maintenance Technicians will also perform general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned and respond to maintenance requests by community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas. They will also maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector and any other jurisdictions governing the community.

Responsibilities

Oversees and directs the sales efforts for multiple communities and products within district, major markets, networks and stand-alone communities. Responsible and accountable for meeting and exceeding the occupancy and revenue goals. Supports the professional development of community sales associates and provides coaching related to selling skills, pipeline management and sales execution. Fosters a strong sales performance culture across the district.

  • Successfully manages sales performance within the assigned district. Monitors occupancy trends and ensures execution of sales activities by team members. Leads district alignment around competitive positioning and marketing plans. Achieves and exceeds all occupancy and revenue goals for assigned district.

  • Leads and develops the team of community sales associates and business development professionals within the district. Oversees creation of district business development and lead generation plans, ensuring coordination between communities to provide optimum results without duplication of resources.

  • Assists in interviewing and hiring of all sales staff in their portfolio of communities. Actively partners with Training and Development, Human Resources, and Operations in the recruitment, hiring, evaluating, and disciplining of all sales positions within the district.

  • Ensures effective onboarding of new sales hires, in partnership with Training and Development and Human Resources. Actively monitors skill and knowledge growth of new hires during onboarding period. Works to support achievement of professional growth milestones for new sales hires.

  • Oversees completion of the marketing plan and budget for the district. Partners with the marketing team in the development and modification of near and long-range community marketing plans and budgets by providing competitor information, data and feedback. Develops sales plans that align to the marketing activities and achieve desired objectives.

  • Assesses local markets and competitive positioning within assigned district and makes pricing and incentive/discounting recommendations.

  • Monitors sales performance expectations and gaps at the community and district level. Reviews and analyzes sales reporting/dashboards on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to ensure accuracy and to identify performance improvement opportunities. Coaches sales team members of appropriate actions in response to performance issues.

  • Assesses the knowledge, skills and abilities of sales staff on an ongoing basis. Coordinates regular skill training and reinforcement to address gaps and opportunities. Conducts coaching observations of sales team members to evaluate sales behaviors and skills.

  • Visits each community within district on a scheduled basis and as approved by Division Director of Sales or VP Sales. Partners with on-site sales teams and Executive Directors in the execution of the sales and lead generation programs and strategies to achieve and maintain full occupancy.

  • Interacts with Clinical Operations and other home office associates. Educates and supports these partners about the sales programs for their respective communities.

  • Consistently executes established sales processes, systems and tools to perform job duties. Maintains working knowledge of lead management (SMS) and sales reporting (dashboards) to maximize sales effectiveness. Adheres to reporting deadlines

  • Promotes the company in a positive manner and sets the example for company's standards for excellence. Serves as a consensus builder among community Sales and Operations teams.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree in marketing, business or related field from accredited college or university. Has experience in sales process, promoting/selling related products and referral development, and knowledge of sales coaching and sales team performance management. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of successful sales experience, preferably in senior housing industry, medical or pharmaceutical sales sectors. Ability to effectively manage time and tasks in a dynamic environment.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special RequirementsFrequent car travel requires the incumbent to possess and maintain a valid driver's license. Up to 70% travel.

Management/Decision MakingApplies existing guidelines and procedures to make varied decisions within a department. Uses sound judgment and experience to solve moderately complex problems based on precedent, example, reasonableness or a combination of these.

Knowledge and SkillsPossesses extensive knowledge of a distinct skill or function and a thorough understanding of the organization and work environment. Has working knowledge of a functional discipline. Knowledge of sales and marketing to include principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services to include marketing strategy and tactics, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations to include applicable processes for the product line(s) being sold. Knowledge of state regulations impacting or directing the delivery of services. Ability to operate smartphones, personal computers and related software. Ability to effectively manage time, tasks and projects in a dynamic environment is required. Ability to build trust and act honestly in relationships with others. Ability to assess and understand customers' expectations, needs and circumstances. Responsibilities

Assists with the day-to-day accounting functions of the community in accordance with current acceptable accounting and cost reimbursement principles. Provides clerical support as directed.

  • Verifies and processes invoices in a timely manner. Notifies management of invoices that do not match purchase orders. Contacts suppliers and/or vendors concerning errors or questions on invoices, as directed.

  • Monitors and collects accounts receivables, including resident rent checks. Reports delinquent accounts to management.

  • Performs payroll data entry, including maintenance of employee records, time cards, miscellaneous deductions, etc.

  • Prepares monthly/quarterly reports regarding open invoices, accounts payables/receivables, cash disbursements, etc., as directed.

  • Maintains business office files.

  • Performs data entry of check requests.

  • Assists in preparing financial statements including balance sheets, income and expense reports, etc., as required.

  • Manages petty cash as directed.

  • Maintains business office area in a clean and organized manner.

  • Assists in maintaining the office supply inventory.

  • Assists receptionist with answering phones and other clerical support, as needed.

  • Attends all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met.

Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining a secure environment for all residents and associates within the building and on the community grounds. Greets visitors, monitors the inside and outside of the building, and responds to emergencies.

Responsibilities

Works with an assigned group of individual BAH agencies in a specific geographical area (limited to only one state) on agency development, referral sources and improved operations. Facilitates training and education opportunities for Brookdale at Home (BAH) associates in order to improve the delivery, volume and quality of Brookdale at Home operations. Implements BAH operations to ensure the integrity of clinical programs, systems, policies and procedures. Promotes commitment to corporate standards, codes of conduct and ensures compliance with local, federal and Medicare laws and requirements.

  • Collaborates with each assigned agency's Executive Director and Area Director/Manager BAH and/or Divisional Director, BAH for agency development. Assesses the needs of individual assigned agencies and sister Brookdale Communities that can be served by the host agencies to improve agency/network operations.

  • Will assist in the financial oversight of the assigned Brookdale at Home agencies-specifically dedicated to BAH revenue per day, expense control and development of continuous PRN assistance at the local level, to assist the communities in reaching all of their BAH financial goals.

  • Assures all assigned agencies quality improvement process is maintained.

  • Attends state surveys of assigned agencies and assists in response and/or plans of correction.

  • Assures personnel files of BAH associates in all assigned agencies meet compliance standards.

  • Available to agency leaders in assigned agencies working after normal business hours as a resource.

  • Will serve as an interim agency leader in the absence of a permanent agency leader whenever necessary.

  • Assists in recruiting and new hire training of agency leaders in assigned agencies.

  • Partners with each agency leader to execute marketing plans to achieve caseload goals.

  • Represents Brookdale's private duty service line and increases awareness through participation in outside events, professional groups, and community involvement in the local market. Uses relevant knowledge and research to plan, coordinate, and implement monthly prospect and/or referral source activities and events as specified by management and the agency marketing plan. Follows up and executes sales process with all leads from events.

  • Trains BAH staff in the following activities: initiating referrals; complying with CCR procedures; effectively participating in the SNF DC care planning process; appropriate marketing strategies to develop the BAH product.

  • Implements screening protocols that will identify Brookdale at Home candidates and any changes in the residents. Conducts trainings on screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.

  • Conducts reviews of operations including quality of delivered care and established clinical programs to ensure that the agencies are fully implemented within program settings. Implements plans for areas of improvement with clinical staff and makes recommendations for enhanced productivity and efficiency of program settings.

  • Implements state-of-the-art training programs to remove deficiencies improve care and educate staff on current and new reporting and clinical requirements or techniques. May develop training classes and materials or utilize existing training materials and classes to improve performance. May work with other Q1 staff to develop and deliver company-training initiatives.

  • Monitors current and changing regulations (CMS, FI and local guidelines) and recommends changes to company practice and policies to ensure compliance. Assist with developing and maintaining all policies relating to documentation standards.

  • Participates in special projects and initiatives as requested by Home Office and supervisors.

  • Participates in internal relationship building and marketing activities as they relate to clinic and agency development.

  • Fosters a positive working environment, works a flexible schedule to meet the needs of clinics.

  • Maintains positive relationships and rapport with coworkers, residents, patients, family members and community personnel.

Job Summary

In alignment with Brookdale's Resident and Family Engagement philosophy, plans, coordinates and facilitates a calendar of person centered dementia friendly programs that meet specific needs of each and all residents within the dementia care community.   • Designs a 7 day a week person centered program that is engaging, creative and meets the needs and interests of the individual residents. Promotes and engages residents in the 7 domains of well-being programs in a dementia friendly structured environment; including sensory focused small group programming for residents who cannot participate in a larger group setting.

  • Develops a monthly calendar, in partnership with residents, based on residents' shared interests. Ensures person centered special events and daily path programs are scheduled and executed as scheduled.

  • Ensures dementia care programs are in compliance with Brookdale Excellence Standards Tool (BEST), Divisional Dementia Care Site visit tool, state, federal, and other regulations and meet Brookdale's mission, policies, procedures and dementia care standards as assigned by the Executive Director.

  • Collaborates with community leadership educating & providing resources to families and associates regarding Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. This includes how to engage residents and lead programs on an ongoing basis. This includes facilitating and coordinating dementia focused in-services and or events for families or computer based and situation specific training for associates including Understanding Alzheimer's & Dementia Care (UADC), as required by Brookdale.

  • May provide direct supervision of Clare Bridge Program Assistant/s, as required by Executive Director, which includes assisting with hiring, coaching, and counseling program assistant associate and conducting the documenting corrective action, as needed. Completes job performance evaluations. May act in supervisory capacity in absence of Manager or Executive Director.

  • Collaborates with community leadership in planning, coordinating, appropriately decorating, and participating in special events including holidays, signature programs, National Walk to End Alzheimer's, family socials, educational and marketing events.

  • Reports changes in residents' overall health to clinical partner, including changes in behavior; takes actions to address concerns in a timely manner and collaborates with the team in exploring approaches and interventions to address behavioral expressions.

  • Oversees social media content to ensure alignment with Brookdale's culture, brand, and social media guidance and Brookdale standards.

  • Plans and schedules programming events outside the community, which may include driving a community motor vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Manages the day-to-day healthcare operations of the community to ensure resident's healthcare needs are met.

  • Ensures residents are treated with respect and dignity and ensures quality care as resident's healthcare needs change.

  • Ensures consistent quality resident care and service delivery throughout all shifts; this may require assuming the role and responsibilities of a Caregiver or Med Tech/Aide in order to meet the residents' needs and staffing requirements.

  • Assists in the supervision of community-based licensed nursing staff, medication technicians/CMA's, and Caregivers and provides training and education to Caregivers on an ongoing basis to include classroom in-services and situation-specific training. In addition, they will also manage the associates schedules.

  • Oversees and manages the continuity and consistency of medication training, pharmacy management and medication supervision and/or administration in the community. Conducts periodic Care Associate medication skills inventory checks, and periodic medication audits per Brookdale Guidelines .

  • Shares on call duties as required.

  • Education as required to obtain state nursing license (LPN/LVN or RN) and a minimum of 1-2 years relevant experience.

  • LPN or LVN license.

Responsibilities

Responsible for conducting and coordinating the development and completion of resident assessments, in accordance with the requirements of State, Federal and Company guidelines. Responsible for overseeing the generation of Minimum Data Set (MDS) for each Medicare patient and electronic transmission of required data within time frame mandated by the State.

  • Coordinates the development and completion of the resident assessment (MDS) in accordance with current regulations and guidelines, including; the implementation of CAAs and Triggers; conducting or coordinating the interview(s) of each resident for the resident's assessment; evaluating each resident's condition and pertinent medical data; developing and implementing procedures with the Director, Clinical Services for arrival of newly admitted residents; ensuring that all assessments are completed and transmitted in a timely manner; assisting community directors and supervisors in scheduling the resident assessment/care plan meetings; and contacting and assisting in scheduling participation by outside members of the care plan team, including the resident's representative and/or other interested family members.

  • Coordinates the development of a written plan of care (preliminary and comprehensive) for each resident that identifies the problems/needs, the amount of care, goals to be accomplished, and which professional service is responsible for care. Ensures that the care plan includes measurable objectives and timetables to meet the resident's needs, as identified in the resident's assessment.

  • Ensures generation and transmission of MDS is complete and timely. Maintains and periodically updates written policies and procedures that govern the development, use, and implementation of the resident assessment (MDS) and care plan. Ensures that a current copy of the MDS Instructor's Manual is available to persons completing portions of the MDS.

  • Develops, implements, and maintains an ongoing quality assurance program for the resident assessment/care plans. Monitors the community's QI and QM reports to ensure that appropriate corrective action can be implemented when potential problems occur.

  • Assists the resident and Discharge Planning Coordinator in completing the care plan portion of the resident's discharge plan. Participates in functions involving discharge plans, as necessary.

  • Participates in community surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies.

  • Provides leadership and participates in various committees including Interdisciplinary Care Plan Team, Policy Advisory, and Quality Assessment and Assurance. Provides reports and assessment updates, as needed.

  • Develops and participates in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that include assessment skills or techniques needed to complete the assessment and MDS functions of the community. Assists the In-service Director/Educator in developing any training activities needed, concerning resident assessment/care plan skills, including initial or refresher courses relative to techniques for interviewing residents, rehabilitation principles, commonly used psychotropic drugs, care plan functions, etc. Attends and participates in annual community in-service training programs as scheduled.

Qualifications

Education and ExperienceMust possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university. Assists directors of CCRC's, retirement communities or assisted living residences with supervision and management on a temporary, extended or as needed basis. Qualifications

What it takes to be a Dining Service Coordinator at Brookdale

Our Dining Service Coordinators plan, direct, coordinate activities of the dining services department, and provide food services for residents and employees. In addition, you will establish departmental regulations and procedures in conformance with administrative policies as well as develop standards for organization and supervision of dining services.
