Bold Rock is boldly committed to building a crew of quality professionals who support all aspects of getting our freshly crafted cider into the hands of good people. Our dedicated team of cider makers crush and craft locally picked apples to create our variety of crisp and refreshing hard cider styles.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Cellar Hand's primary responsibility is to support and follow instructions from the Cider Maker in ensuring efficient and high-quality manufacture of the range of products, from fermentation through to final blending and bottling. They will act as an effective member of the Liquids team and ensure no products are packaged that do not meet specifications.

Reports to: Cider Maker

  • Carries out instructions on cider production and other products as determine by the Cider Maker.

  • Discusses with the Cider Maker before making any changes or alterations to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Ensures quality cider production through the efficient execution of cellar operations under the direction of the Cider Maker.

  • Works collaboratively with the whole cider making team, supporting their efforts to product exceptional cider products.

  • Perform cidery duties when and where required.

  • Actively seek opportunities as they arise to learn from the Cider Maker regarding cider making duties.

  • Ensure that all products meet the set quality specifications.

  • Ensure that all requirements of the food safety policy and other statutory regulations are adhered to.

  • Inform the Senior Cider Maker immediately of any product that does not meet specifications & general issues.

  • Learn how each piece of the plant and equipment work and how to get the best performance safely from each unit.

  • Make every effort to keep strictly confidential, within the liquids team only, the various receipt and processes that constitute the company's intellectual property. This includes not discussing with other staff or any members of the public.

  • Maintenance schedule of pumps and spare parts inventory

  • Maintenance, set up, and calibration schedule of flow meters

  • Organization of liquids warehouse, storage, oven, hoses, etc.

  • Helping ensure the production unit works as a team and there is a seamless flow from juicing to fermentation, blending, and bottling

  • Work within the team to foster good relationships to ensure a healthy, effective, and efficient working environment

  • Foster a safe working environment and ensure that you and those around you comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, and policies

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Available to work 8 hour shifts - Monday through Friday (with potential for overtime)

  • Experience operating forklift or desire to gain qualifications necessary for safe and efficient operation of cidery

  • Knowledge of fermentation science is ideal

    Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in a mostly outdoor facility in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)

  • Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Use of hands to perform fine manipulation, handle or feel, and must be able to reach with hands and arms

  • Identify product deficiencies (color, smell, taste); this requires having close, distance, color and peripheral vision as well as depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

  • Safely and properly handle hazardous materials in various size quantities, and operate complex moving machinery

    Work Environment

    The Cellar Hand will primarily perform work duties in production areas. While performing the duties of the job, the Cellar Hand is regularly exposed to a damp, wet environment with hot liquids, airborne particles, chemicals and moving machinery. There can be loud noise levels, and protective eyewear is required on the production floor at all times.

  • Cultivate and strengthen the critical relationship between our company and our distributor partners.

  • Maintain proficiency in at least two of the following production areas: brewhouse, cellar, and/or packaging. The ability to function effectively in all three areas is considered a plus for the employee.

  • Work week is based on a 40-hour schedule. Due to production needs, overtime may be required.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including varied shift determined by management and dictated by business/facility.

The Production Planning Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Planning functions, including but not limited, demand planning & forecasting, capacity management, supply planning & inventory management. They are responsible for assessing customer demand and inventory levels to develop the weekly/monthly production plan. This leader will interface and collaborate with Operational stakeholders including Customer Service, Brewing, Packaging, Maintenance, Purchasing, Sales, and Marketing to ensure orders are fulfilled on-time and capacity constraints are managed.

The Production Planning Manager is responsible for managing the Customer Development Team who confirm customer sales orders and seasonal preorders and translate these requests to a level-loaded shipping schedule. They will work closely with the Warehouse Manager to adjust production to accommodate logistics constraints and with Sales to coordinate both planned and unplanned production.

They are responsible for managing the Inventory Control Specialist who will ensure proper control and accuracy (organizing counts, variance investigation, posting variances, month-end reporting, year-end reporting, audits, etc.) of materials through the various stages of production as well as ensure the accuracy of related material transactions within our ERP system.

  • Champion the weekly scheduling meeting with Brewing, Packaging, Purchasing, Maintenance and Quality; implementing the best structure, processes and supporting tools/analytics to manage timelines and changes to the production schedule.

  • Use the demand assessment process to build out weekly brewing and packaging schedules. Manage production plan execution and navigate any disruptions that could affect inventory and result in potential out-of-stocks.

  • Review the open order report and STW dates and make adjustments in conjunction with Customer Service, Brewing, and Packaging.

  • Monitor sales order lead times to ensure optimal production visibility & on-time shipment (adherence to ship schedule).

  • Monitor demand changes of customers and/or brands, making plan changes to maintain operational efficiencies, customer service levels, inventory position and minimize obsolescence.

  • Coordinate shipment status with the sales team and report out weekly to the leadership team.

  • Utilize ERP expertise to produce accurate figures and reports. Understand how to validate data from the system. Lead improvements in the ERP system use and management to improve business performance.

  • Review daily production transactions and make adjustments in conjunction with Brewing, Packaging, and Warehouse.

  • Establish processes to monitor, control, and prevent losses and write offs.

  • Review annual volume budget and plan long term production to manage capacity constraints.

  • Primary point of contact for the 3rd-party packaging company. WHAT YOU'LL DO

At Victory Brewing (VBC), Quality Technicians execute all daily quality duties in the areas of packaging, cellar, laboratory and sensory; ensuring the day-to-day operations of the lab are run according to the Quality SOPs. They ensure quality is a priority across the brewery by focusing on quality control testing, analysis, reporting, and troubleshooting in all areas of production. This includes sterile work for microbiological stability screening, fermentation tracking, chemistry, statistics, sensory, and package testing. They will be trained to be cross-functional in analytical, microbiological, and organoleptic testing. The Quality Technician also manages lab inventory and waste disposal and provides guidance via research, trial, SOP creation and training of other Laboratory Technicians and other brewery staff when necessary.

Reports to: Quality Manager

  • Executes daily quality duties across the brewery according to the staff rotation plan, including rotating through any shift that needs support as necessary

  • Ensures that the daily operations of the lab are run according to the Quality SOPs and works with the Quality Manager to continuously improve Quality SOPs; in particular, sample workflow and record keeping

  • Assists with the development of the Quality Management System including writing and revision SOPs, and potentially, MBSs and Cellar Notes or other logs, specification data or CV charting and action plans

  • Collects, organizes, and reports QA/QC data from raw materials through packaging. Reviews Quality Records for completeness and accuracy

  • Manages consumables and equipment inventory, ordering, recordkeeping and 5S practices in the laboratory area and other Quality workspaces throughout facilities

  • Helps coordinate proper disposal of all laboratory products, including disposables and waste

  • Collaborates with other departments and team members to tackle issues as they arise

  • Maintains, calibrates, and verifies accuracy of equipment and instrumentation

  • Performs chemical and analytical testing on product samples

  • Execute O2 testing on brite and packaged beer

  • Performs package integrity testing

  • Inspects equipment for adherences to GMP

  • Takes sterile microbiological samples from a variety of places

  • Performs cell counts alongside of viability or vitality testing

  • Monitors fermentations

  • Leads sensory panel for true to brand

  • Using aseptic technique plate microbiological samples

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or other related science field preferred or equivalent experience.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Packaging Operator for the Keg Line is responsible for performing daily tasks to meet keg packaging schedules. He/she is responsible for operating the kegging line, as well as any manual tasks necessary to the overall packaging operation. The Packaging Operator - Keg Line is responsible for always maintaining a clean, safe working environment, to insure that the beers that are packaged on the keg line are of the highest quality, packaged in the best ways possible. The Packaging Operator - Keg Line is an important ambassador for the brand.

Reports to: Packaging Supervisor

  • Ensures that all daily packaging activities on the bottling and can lines in Lakewood are executed safely and in accordance with SOPs.

  • Responsible for performing manual packaging operations, as needed (handling empty and full kegs, hand stacking)

  • If needed responsible for operating packaging equipment (box shop, depalletizers, packers, wrappers, sealers, palletizers) or work in other department as necessary.

  • Responsible for the inspection of empty kegs before they are filled (both cleanliness and mechanically acceptability)

  • Responsible for the quality and appearance of the finish product, and have the communication skills to stop packaging and report issues to supervisor to prevent loss of product.

  • Performs miscellaneous tasks and projects as directed by the Packaging Supervisor, including, but not limited to; cleaning, painting, disposing of old product, assembling packaging, taking inventory, light maintenance, etc

  • Responsible for insuring that DO and CO2 TPO analysis of packaged keg product are within specification

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the BR Packaging Team, Packaging Leads are responsible for running a packaging line during a shift. They ensure the product quality and efficiency, while driving continuous improvement. Packaging Leads provide direction and leadership to the Packaging Assistants assigned to their line. This job requires strong communication, interpersonal and team building skills to support department goals and objectives.

  • Conformance to all area LOTO and safety procedures, including wearing of PPE and reporting any safety hazards.

  • Report safety incidents immediately to the shift supervisor or designate.

  • Responsible for daily operation of packaging lines- either kegging, bottling, or canning line fillers, cleaning equipment and perform in accordance with SOPs and specifications.

  • Good computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Outlook

  • Physical Requirements- Candidate should be able to perform repetitive physical tasks, lift at least 55 lbs. from ground level and should also be able to move 165 lbs of kegged beer from one location to another. Physically capable of standing for long periods of time and able to kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

Our corporate teams support our family of brands through managing the -back office- work so the team members who support in the production of our products can focus on making great tasting, innovative quality craft beverages. WHAT YOU'LL DO

This graphic designer position is responsible for concepting and designing the visual look for ABV Brands and events though Taproom marketing materials. This role will create marketing and sales support assets, as well as other visual marketing collateral that bring brand awareness to ABV brands. Candidates must demonstrate outstanding visual, verbal and written communication skills. A vital part of communication is listening, so candidates must demonstrate acute listening skills to ensure that creative collateral captures all needed details. Given the dynamic nature of a business that both manufactures high-quality beer and operates 12 taprooms, the Graphic Designer will be involved in a large range of integrated communications that are compelling but also must support and align to the brand identity at all times.

Reports to: Creative Manager

  • Exhibit a strong understanding of brand development, with the ability to push and expand upon existing designs while keeping current brand integrity

  • Develop web graphics and final designs for implementation in company Taproom websites and social media.

  • Generating concepts and final designs for taproom marketing and event communications (logos, posters, flyers, etc.).

  • Create concepts and final designs for environmental graphics for taproom communication, as well as retail and trade opportunities and events.

  • Maintaining an impeccable archive of graphics, linked to their specific projects, accessible to other team members responsible for the printing and publication of such projects.

  • Facilitate the artwork proofing process with vendors with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

    WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Graduate of college or art school with degree in graphic design or related field

  • 1 - 3 years of related work experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign) and high level understanding of graphic and web design principles, including functional use of HTML, Javascipt, PHP

  • Experience working within Premier, Final Cut Pro X, and After Effects

  • Website & CRM experience with an emphasis on Wordpress

  • Extensive knowledge of Pantone Color Matching System technology

  • Detailed understanding of technical print requirements, including color separations, composition, and ability to deliver print ready materials

  • Keen creative design and composition aesthetic with careful attention to detail

  • Familiarity with tenets of branding and advertising, and ability to create unique work that reflects design standards of the company

  • Ability to conceptualize and execute design components that complement the suite of company-branded materials and help achieve the company ' s goals

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate and defend design concept, elements and intentions

  • Team player with positive attitude and ability to incorporate feedback from design team into iterative work

  • Candidate must be able to work independently within the scope of the assignment, while utilizing productivity software to manage, prioritize and thoroughly communicate project status, and meet deadlines

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment

  • Strong portfolio, demonstrating ability to produce effective graphic design work across various styles and purposes

  • Perform other duties as assigned
