SUMMARY: The Manager - Installed Sales Solutions (ISS) is accountable for the successful growth, development, and delivery of solutions within the Bloomington market. Working independently and through the efforts of direct and indirect teams, builds sustainable business growth with sound decision making and execution of aggressive growth strategies. OBJECTIVES: * Identify, screen and manage a growing subcontracted labor force that meets the corporate guidelines for job site deployment. * Direct the generation of successful project management estimates leading to contract awards. * Grow ISS market penetration through successful individual and collaborative business development and management efforts. DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES: * Manage contract fulfillment in the field to meet or exceed customer and organization's expectations. * Interface with ASC sales people to identify the job requirements, specified products, and scopes of work. * Cost containment responsibilities in regards to labor and materials consumption, overruns and shortages. * Identification of potential areas of conflict between product specification, and scope of work. * Effectively lead and develop direct reports through sound coaching and performance management practices. KEY RELATIONSHIPS: * Local and regional subcontract labor company owners and leaders. * Alside and AMI local, regional and national sales and operational personnel and leadership. Qualifications * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. * Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and scopes. * Working of understanding of product specification terminology. * Ability to communicate with multiple levels of production and sales management teams. * Self motivated professional with a fluent understanding of the exterior construction process; special focus in exterior claddings and windows is a plus. * Ability to meet deadlines, communicate questions and concerns and search for creative solutions when needed. * Have a working understanding of digital estimating software, or be able to learn quickly. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Product Management of Integrated Products within Associated Materials is organized by product category: Windows, Vinyl & Composite Siding and Metals. The role of the Product Manager within Associated Materials is to own and direct the strategy, product portfolio and P&L for the siding and metal product categories. Ownership of product business performance is in matrixed fashion with the commercial and operational segments. Key areas of accountability: * Drive categories to achieve/surpass financial goals. The primary financial metrics include net sales revenue dollars, contribution margin dollars and contribution margin percent. * Own list pricing. Monitor competitive price position, competitive pricing activity, costs and margins, working with the commercial, supply chain and manufacturing organizations to develop and maintain proper pricing and margins. * Develop and execute a strategic plan that drives market share gain and falls in line with Associated Materials' overall strategic direction. Develop a 3-year product roadmap as part of the annual planning cycle to evolve the category with new products and the retirement of aging products as appropriate. Prioritize and build business cases for growth opportunities. * Understand the competitive landscape. Reporting to the ISS Manager the Project Manager is responsible for the generation of full quantity project management estimates to include the requisite materials and labor to satisfy the job scope. This position covers the Spokane, WA and surrounding territory (about a 50-mile radius). * Estimating methods include, but are not limited to, field measurements and blueprints via cutting-edge takeoff software, training provided. * Interface with ASC sales people to identify the job requirements, specified products, and scopes of work. * Identify, screen and manage a subcontracted labor force that meets the corporate guidelines for job site deployment. * Manage contract fulfillment in the field to the required levels of expectation. * Cost containment responsibilities in regards to labor and materials consumption, overruns and shortages. * Identification of potential areas of conflict between product specification, and scope of work. * Duties may extend to full proposal generation once proficiency is reached in the aforementioned primary duties. * Windows and siding experience is highly preferred! * Must be a self motivated professional with a fluent understanding of the exterior construction process. * Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and scopes. * Must have strong knowledge of window/siding quality control and construction safety compliance. * Working understanding of product specification terminology. * Ability to communicate with sub-contractor base all the way up to senior leadership. * Special focus in exterior claddings and windows is a plus. * Ability to meet deadlines, communicate questions and concerns and search for creative solutions when needed. * Have a working understanding of digital estimating software, or be able to learn quickly. * Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. * Must meet all other corporate hiring requirements.
