At Holiday, we are serious about helping seniors enjoy a well-earned retirement. In the role of Housekeeper, you will be responsible to maintain Holiday Community interior, including residents' apartments, in a clean and sanitary fashion and in a courteous and friendly manner.
Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments. This includes, but is not limited to: vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning the main entry way, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and resident apartments.
Resident apartments also include cleaning and defrosting refrigerators (as needed), cleaning and check of heat system filters, etc., changing the bed and linens and making sure adequate linen supplies are in each apartment. Turning mattresses (with assistance) as necessary and emptying waste baskets.
Provide deep cleaning of apartments as needed. Pay special attention to the main entry area, with focus on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows and light fixtures.
Launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities provided.
Follow Holiday's sanitation and safety procedures. Details regarding the housekeeper's cleaning responsibilities can be found in the Holiday Retirement Community Care Guidelines.
Complete weekly and monthly inventories of cleaning supplies, chemicals, toilet paper, linen and other items.
When needed spot check rooms using the housekeeping evaluation checklist with assistance of the general manager.
Help support the community leadership team when speaking with staff and residents.
Other duties as assigned.
Prior related experience in housekeeping preferred
Demonstrated Customer Service orientation
Previous team lead experience preferred
Effective communication skills in English
General knowledge of sanitation and safety practices or ability to quickly learn and retain

Answers incoming telephone calls in a cheerful and marketing oriented way, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
Retrieves messages from voice mail and forwards to appropriate personnel.
Takes and delivers messages or transfers calls to voice mail when appropriate personnel are unavailable.
Answers general questions about the community and provides callers with address, directions, and other information and refers other specific questions to appropriate staff.
Welcomes on-site visitors, determines nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
Coordinates guestroom reservations.
Maintains current list of residents who are hospitalized.

In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will provide and manage the daily and preventative maintenance program within the community to include overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartments and other interior/exterior areas.

Prepare or assist in preparing all market-ready apartments with little or no guidelines for turn time, which may include painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping.
Perform various preventative maintenance functions utilizing the TELS Program.
Complete daily community inspections including keeping grounds and common areas free of trash and debris. Recommend the repair or replacement of any interior and/or exterior areas
Perform various maintenance functions such as electrical installations, pool maintenance, carpentry/construction, furnace and air conditioner repairs, filter changing, coil cleaning, plumbing and appliance repairs, drywall and painting repairs, vinyl installation and repairs, minor roof repairs, etc.
Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of all mechanical equipment in the community, including but limited to: water heaters, HVAC units, kitchen equipment, etc.
Assist in monitoring capital improvement projects. Follow the Home Office Maintenance policies (i.e., HVAC, carpet, mold, etc.)
Organize maintenance storage and mechanical rooms. Ensure proper use and care of all tools, equipment, and vehicles.
Meet Holiday U Maintenance education and/or training requirements.
Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years' hands-on maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc is required.
Ability to perform and/or coordinate emergency building repairs at Holiday-managed communities; includes contacting and contracting subcontractors to complete repairs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated experience in the safe handling and use of tools normally used in construction, maintenance, and landscaping. Includes but not limited to: circular saw, power drill, bench grinder, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, power floor cleaner, carpet cleaner, paint sprayer, power drain cleaner, chain saw, and key machine.
Valid drivers' license and good driving record along with proof of auto insurance is required.
EPA certified in Freon recovery and handling, or able and willing to obtain certification within 6 months of assignment.
Ability to lift up 50 pounds periodically.
