What is HeartCorps:
HeartCorps is an initiative with Public Health AmeriCorps and the American Heart Association created todrive health equity in rural communities. This service position offers a great opportunity to gain valuable professional public health experience while advancing more equitable health outcomes for your community.
We are seeking a full-time and part-time service members to serve up to 11 months startingNovember 4, 2024,to serve at the Fairbanks Community Food Bank in Fairbanks, AK .
Responsibilities
What you will do includes:
Typically serve full-time Monday - Friday (41.25 hours per week). Some placements may include occasional evening or weekend hours. Part-time opportunities may be available at 25 hours per week.
Deliver health education and support patients/community members in navigating the care, community programs and resources on heart health related topics including cardiovascular disease, smoking cessation, nutrition, blood pressure, and chronic diseases such as diabetes.
Assist with public health surveys. This may include recruiting participants, administering the survey in-person or via phone, tracking data, and/or running reports.
Plan and conduct local health skill building workshops, health fairs, town halls or community conversations - to raise awareness and help community members manage their health.
Support patients and community members in initiating and conducting Blood Pressure Self-Monitoring.
Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.
Compensation & Benefits
Benefits of HeartCorps Service include:
Bi-weekly living stipend of $1108.70 (taxable) for full-time service members. The stipend is pro-rated for part-time members.

Host Hands-Only CPR demonstrations for community members.
Engage local organizations to help identify and develop resources to support families in accessing chronic disease interventions and/or overall health and wellbeing services.
Actively participate in AmeriCorps pre-service orientation, HeartCorps member development meetings and assigned trainings.
Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:
United States citizen, United States national, or a lawful permanent resident alien of the United States, at least 18 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.
Customer and solution focused. Good listeners, non-judgmental, open minded, and resourceful.
Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.
Experience as health aide or have coursework in public health, health communications, health promotion, or health sciences helpful but not required.

Qualifications
Ideal HeartCorps Candidates are:

Able to secure reliable transportation to and from the host site daily and to community-based activities. You will be required to maintain a valid drivers' license as well as at least the minimum automobile liability insurance coverage required by law.
Strong written and oral communicators.

Required to satisfy the National Service Criminal History Check eligibility criteria-nationwide check of the National Sex Offender Public website, state criminal history record check, and a fingerprint-based check of the FBI criminal history record database.

Responsibilities
The resource will be responsible for the day-to-day site recruitment, site consultation, and project management of activities for the Target: Aortic Stenosis Initiative. This person will identify, build, nurture, and maintain relationships to recruit participating sites to achieve program goals. Building on established relationships with hospitals and health systems, this role will provide in-depth process and quality improvement consultation including individual site support, facilitation of educational opportunities, intervention tracking, and process mapping. This person will be responsible for assisting with sales, onboarding, customer retention, and related activities to insure excellence and attention to detail throughout the site management process. Additionally, this person will be responsible for daily operations related to meeting project deliverables.
This role will regularly collaborate closely with physician leadership, C-suite leadership, and site clinical teams, so should have experience working with these roles. Thie role also requires the individual to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision, work independently, have positive relationship cultivation skills, strong project management skills and be results-oriented.
Identify and develop pipeline of prospective new and existing customers for enrollment in the Target: Aortic Stenosis Initiative. Oversee contracting process. Coordinate efforts among hospitals and hospital systems on project goals and objectives, including quality improvement and research.
Serve as main account manager of recruited sites. Onboard, manage and consult participating sites on site-level and system-level evidence-based metrics, aiming to support improved clinical care and outcomes. Facilitate sites utilizing pilot and established interoperability between originating source data to the Target: Aortic Stenosis Registry, when needed.
Establish and conduct data monitoring activities within registry tool. This position will continually review site and registry-wide data for quality, completeness, and quality improvement-related opportunities. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.
Develop and deliver site and program-wide targeted education and training materials, utilizing collected insights.
Identify, build, cultivate and manage key high-level partner and customer relationships to achieve program goals. Collaborate with the program's Volunteer Committee, and other high-level physicians and C-suite members from participating sites and stakeholders. Stakeholders include, but are not limited to hospitals, healthcare systems, quality improvement organizations, research organizations, state health departments, and payor groups.
Communicate regularly with Project leadership to assure tasks are completed according to project timeline. Work with colleagues and external partners through ongoing meetings to report out on project deliverables.
Support project leadership in developing research infrastructure conducive to future pragmatic clinical trials and other translational, clinical, and implementation science. Guide sites through research proposal process and review submissions, as appropriate.
Analyze, collate, and present results of trainings, education, and data to continually evaluate next steps and needs for program. Address any data inconsistencies within Get with The Guidelines appropriately and in a timely manner, including measure and data collection revisions.
Create, update, and disseminate marketing materials when appropriate. Assist with other marketing aspects such as website maintenance.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree
Two (2) - Five (5) years of relevant experience
Experience and proven comprehensive record of Microsoft Office suite skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Experience in healthcare or in a public health-related organization, clinical registries, patient registries, clinical studies or quality improvement programs
Experience and proven record of program/project management, including experience in influencing performance without direct line accountability
Ability to function and drive work independently with minimal supervision
Strong verbal, written, and presentation communications skills, including communication with clinical leadership
Ability to interact and engage with clinicians and C-suite, ideally in hospital setting
Experience and proven record of account management and sales success/business development
Ability to work in a team environment and interact with all levels of American Heart Association staff, volunteers, and the public.
Access to reliable transportation
Ability to travel up to 10% local and overnight stay
Preferred Experience:
Echocardiogram knowledge or experience is highly desired

Compensation & Benefits

Responsibilities
Prospect and secure local corporate sponsorships, individual donations, and auction items.
Identify, recruit and manage executive volunteer leadership including implementing a year-round cultivation plan.

Qualifications

We are hiring an Associate Vice President (AVP) Development in Dallas, TX. This individual will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities and developing and implementing creative fundraising strategies to engage supporters including mission impact solutions in alignment with our issue-based fundraising strategies, Impact Campaigns and Nation of Lifesavers in the Dallas market. We offer a base salary with the potential to earn an incentive up to 25% of your base pay. The potential incentive is based on achieving certain revenue targets.

Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive new business development plan with a vision to raise $2M.
Grow new company engagement by 25% to 50.
Oversee Impact Campaigns for the Dallas market including creating strategies, engaging supporters and overseeing Impact Campaign staff.
Work with leadership to build out and oversee Nation of Lifesaver program for the Dallas market, including collaborating with development and community impact staff along with market supporters and volunteers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Build and maintain a portfolio of corporations with a goal of securing a minimum of seven figures annually and obtaining 75% portfolio penetration within 2 years.
Drive the organization's fundraising efforts and achieve financial targets.
Oversee and recruit strategic committees designed to assist in the growth and strategic opportunities across the territory.
Work alongside our issues-based fundraising team to create compelling proposals and presentations to inspire support.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure requests for support are vetted and built to the full capacity.
Monitor and evaluate division income performance through analysis of weekly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Stay up to date with industry trends and developments.
Work alongside the Dallas board to ensure growth in pipelines and develop volunteer integrated plans.
Learn and be well-versed in the mission and work in tandem with our VP of Community Health for potential funding needs.
Develop strong pipelines of six and seven figure opportunities.
Develop corporate stewardship plan across core campaigns and above.
Accountable for the management and development of staff members toward market goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.
5 years of experience in fundraising or new business development, preferably in the non-profit sector.
3 years of managerial experience, ideally with a sales or fundraising team in a similar organization.
Proven track record of successfully implemented six and seven figure requests for support.
Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and strategies.
Excellent networking and relationship-building skills.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Results-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to travel locally approximately 70%; requires access to reliable transportation at all times on an immediate basis.

We're hiring a temporary Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to our School Engagement team. The temporary assignment will run approximately six months - starting around October 1 through March 31, 2025. We're looking for individuals who can complete the entire duration of the assignment. Work hours are flexible between 7:30am and 5pm.
This is a part-time, temporary position working 29 hours per week with an end date of March 31, 2025. This is a home-based position and location is flexible within the six states of our SW region territory including the states of AR, CO, NM, OK, TX, and WY.
