Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, co-axial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components. Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance. Maintains, repairs, tests, and installs alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC) electrical motors, generators, alternators, and electrical control systems and other related devices. Conducts preventive maintenance in accordance with P307 requirements. The Crane Electrician may also install WHE/MHE instrumentation and related devices. Installs conduit using threading, cutting, and bending equipment and tools. Replaces defective circuit breakers, switches, fuses, and other electrical wiring devices. Uses a variety of electrician's hand tools, testing and measuring instruments. May perform other related duties as assigned.
High School graduate or equivalent
Must be able to work at heights up to 150 feet, including work from mechanical lifting devices.
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience at the electrical journeyman-level with experience in either weight handling equipment, material handling equipment or industrial equipment fields.
Must have proven ability to read and comprehend electrical blueprints and wiring schematics.
Must have ability to troubleshoot using a systematic approach and repair AC and DC electrical control systems including motors, motor controls, transformers, switchgear, electrical panels, and other associated equipment.
Must successfully complete NAVFAC P307 WHE/MHE electrician course and general crane safety course within 180 days of employment.
Must complete eight hours of national electrical code safety training biannually.
Must become CPR- certified by a nationally recognized organization such as American Red Cross or American Herat Association.
Must possess the standard tools associated with the electrical trade.
Must possess a valid state driver's license.

Identify, coordinate, harvest, and expose data sources across multiple domains and classification levels for ingestion. Gather input and requirements for methodology development, tool modification, and tailored mission support. Provide assistance, instruction, and education to personnel. Collaborate with capability developers and analytic methodologists to enable customization of capability features and functionality to meet requirements.
JUNIOR: A Journeyman labor category has 3 to 10 years of experience and a BA/BS or MA/MS degree. A Journeyman labor category typically performs all functional duties independently.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: TS/SCI
Physical Requirements of Position: Position will require heavy use of computing systems, PC or laptop. Phone use, Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position requires typing, and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, included but not limited to: bending, reaching, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May require climbing, working at heights and in small spaces. Must be able to sit, stoop, kneel or crouch for long periods of time. Work in noisy areas with hotter and colder temperature than standard office environmental conditions. Lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work, walking moderate to long distances may be required. May require travel to other sites.
Work Environment: Generally an office. An inside environment may be a cubicle (considerations: close quarters, low to moderate noise, bright or dim lighting). The base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $106,000. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
