About this job
The Senior Analyst, Logistics Planning role oversees all processes and functions of load planning and freight movement throughout the logistics network. This person will process, plan, and coordinate the delivery of shipments with the Fleet and 3PL teams and be a subject matter expert on all move types in the CarMax network. The Senior Analyst will lead all aspects of our logistics network planning.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities
Lead the logistics network to develop and execute recommendations for reducing freight costs, creating efficiencies, and improving speed of service.
Develop processes and planning tools to maximize efficiency across all moves in the CarMax network in a manner that increases service while reducing costs and lead times.
Develop and lead cross-functional partnerships between fleet, dedicated fleet and third-party carrier operations teams to develop and execute optimal routing solutions.
Create and approve network-wide transfer coverage plans to maximize efficiencies for all move types.
Proactively identify and execute on cost savings opportunities within the CarMax network, including running cost/benefit analyses and leading cross-functional teams to implement changes.
Qualifications and Requirements
Minimum of 3 years experience in logistics
Minimum of 2 years experience in CarMax logistics
High school diploma is required, some college or college degree is preferred
Experience with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), OTM (Oracle Transportation Management, internet search engines and email systems is required
Demonstrates effective communication with both internal and external customers and across multiple layers of the organization
Must be available to work flexible shifts including early morning, evenings, and weekends
Work Location and Arrangement: This role will be based out of the Richmond, VA Home Office and have a Hybrid work arrangement. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday from 1pm-10pm.

What you'll do
Complete miscellaneous work requests to support various business areas across CAF. This includes preparing and processing customer correspondence, data entry and account notation in company account management systems.
Work with team members, other departments, store locations, and external vendors to resolve customer questions/concerns.
Filing documents in appropriate locations, receive, sort, review, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail/packages, and maintaining office supplies; the role may include validating document accuracy, identify errors and document scanning.

Under general direction from the Business Office Manager, this position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast paced, team-oriented environment through the facilitation of the sales, auction, and appraisal process. These processes include responsibility for cash management, processing and auditing of paperwork associated with sales, and providing exceptional customer service by answering questions and handling incoming calls.
What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:
Assists store personnel and all store departments in their daily functions while adhering to CarMax guidelines
Provides customer service by greeting customers, balancing overflow traffic, listening to and answering customer questions and explaining paperwork process.
Seeks win/win solutions for the customer and partners appropriately
Processes paperwork associated with retail/wholesale automobile sales may include printing daily reports, maintaining deal jackets, contacting finance companies regarding contracts, obtaining required information regarding registration and/or titling, processing reassignments, and auditing completed paperwork
Processes auction sales, dealer registration, and/or appraisal lane purchases to include the collection of titles (calls and follow up),
payoffs, proper paperwork and signatures from customers in order to send the appropriate documentation to the Home Office for the funding of drafts
considerations to security and loss prevention.
Processes paperwork affiliated with the state DMV. This may include submitting paperwork necessary to title or and register a vehicle for a customer after the sale or obtaining a title for a customer after the sale.
Mentor new Business Office Associates, as well as, train other store departments on Business Office process and procedure
Clerical responsibilities may include, but is not limited to: copying, filing, reconciliation of missing dealer plates or information and data entry into Microsoft Excel and proprietary systems as required for logging vehicle registration tags.
Answers multi-line phone system, responds to callers' needs and direct calls as appropriate.
