Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Language Training :

  • Utilize Government- or Contractor-provided documentation, including assessment plans, instructor guides, and student materials.

  • Tailor teaching approaches to match student learning styles and strategies.

  • Conduct instruction through interactive synchronous and asynchronous learning activities.

  • Teach ISO-Immersions and supplement instruction with contemporary authentic material.

  • Collaborative Work:

  • Operate as part of a teaching team.

  • Collaborate with course developers, curriculum managers, Government instructors, and Contractor instructors for training design and implementation.

  • Technology Integration:

  • Employ basic classroom technology, including audio/video/DVD components and computer applications like Microsoft Office.

  • Utilize advanced classroom technology, such as SmartBoard/Symposium, Blackboard, Microsoft Teams, and camera equipment.

- Feedback and Assessmen t :

  • Provide constructive feedback on student progress to the Government.

  • Ensure all learning assessments align with or support unit/topic/course objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Clearance : Ability to pass security vetting.

  • Education/Experience :

  • B.A./B.S. from an accredited college or university.

  • Can be substituted with an additional four years of directly related experience.

  • Language Proficiency :

  • Native speakers: Minimum ILR proficiency level 2 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in English and ILR proficiency level 4 in reading, writing, speaking, and listening in your native language.

  • Native English speakers: Minimum ILR proficiency level 3 in reading and listening in the target language and ILR 4 in English.

  • Proficiency levels must be documented within the last 3 years.

  • Teaching Experience : Five years of experience in teaching adult language education and methodology.

  • Technical Skills :

  • Six months of experience using appropriate language fonts, keyboards, and language training software.

You will get to organize and manage the day-to-day caseload for team members and ensure their work is completed promptly and accurately. CACI is looking for experienced Space Vehicle Flight Software Systems Engineers to work with NASA on its Commercial Spacecraft including Commercial Crew Vehicles for transporting astronauts to and from the International Space Station (ISS), Human Landing System Vehicle for transporting astronauts to and from the lunar surface, and U.S. Deorbit Vehicle to safety deorbit the ISS when retired. These exciting software systems engineering positions involve insight/oversight of human-rated flight software including evaluations of concepts, analysis of flight software requirements and design, assessments of software architecture and code, and evaluations of verification tests and certification. Special emphasis will be placed on software safety, software process adherence, software verification, and certification for flight readiness.

What You'll Get to Do:

Typical areas of focus will be data network and channelization, fault management, mission sequencing, aborts, emergency responses, redundancy management, etc. Vehicle system domains include crew systems; displays; avionics; command and data handling; environmental control and life support (ECLSS); power; propulsion; thermal; guidance, navigation, and control; communications and tracking; and docking.

This work requires collaboration with Commercial Spacecraft prime contractors.

This position requires a self-motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills. In addition to outstanding technical expertise, the individual must be very people savvy, have strong customer relationship skills, possess a positive team-player attitude, be flexible and willing to take on new assignments and responsibilities as they arise. Finally, the most qualified candidate will be an articulate speaker able to communicate complex technical ideas in a convincing manner, must share our passion for our Nation's Space Program, and share in the excitement of developing future human-rated space vehicles.

More About the Role:

Job responsibilities include:

  • Review and oversight of flight software requirements development, design, integration, production, verification, validation, and certification.

  • Perform systems engineering, such as hazard analysis, on vehicle subsystem domains.

  • Coordinate flight software issues and resolution across programs and vehicle systems engineering teams.

  • Detect areas of risk within the flight software and guide contractors through corrective action.

  • Evaluate prime contractor flight software architecture, design, and implementation.

  • Oversight of integration of flight software in test and verification facilities.

  • Interface with NASA and prime contractor engineering teams.

  • Provide inputs for developing Certification of Flight Readiness (COFR) recommendations.

  • Provide mission support including monitoring and evaluating flight operations and troubleshooting anomalies during commercial spacecraft flights in the Mission Evaluation Room (MER).

This work takes place at NASA/JSC in Houston, TX, a highly stimulating and dynamic environment that is critical in human space flight and the space exploration initiative.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.

  • B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines required.

  • Prior or current background in software development or systems engineering.

  • At least three years of related experience in real-time safety critical software, including internships. Experience can be for aerospace vehicles or in other industries, e.g., oil and gas. Experience greater than the minimum through senior expertise is highly valued.

  • Must be flexible, open to new challenges in a dynamic environment, and possess strong technical expertise combined with strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.

  • Must be a highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic.

  • Must have highly developed coordination and organization skills.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • M.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines.

  • Experience in full life cycle safety critical software for aerospace or non-aerospace applications.

  • Experience in flight software development for human-rated space vehicles, e.g., Space Shuttle, International Space Station, SpaceX Crew Dragon, Boeing Starliner, Orion, or Gateway L2 or L3 modules.

  • Vehicle-wide knowledge of space vehicle systems, e.g., avionics; command and telemetry; command and control; displays; power; propulsion; thermal; ECLSS; guidance, navigation and control; communications and tracking, etc.

  • Knowledge of aerospace or similar vehicle operations, e.g., aircraft, space vehicle, satellite, submarine, etc.

  • Experience developing C/C++ and/or Python code.

  • Project management skills.

  • Familiarity with NASA's Commercial Crew Vehicles.

The Opportunity:

CACI's Business and Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Sector is seeking an Infrastructure Systems Administrator in support of the Naval Education Training Command (NETC). NETC develops the Naval Total Force (NTF) through education and training that builds personal, professional and leadership skills by tailoring training delivery to the individual and provides access when and where needed through optimal use of technology. You will provide Training Delivery Services (TDS) commensurate with technical tasking necessary to manage the wide range of IT programs that support the NETC Mission. Responsibilities:

Analyzes, troubleshoots, and resolves issues with IT infrastructure including user systems, servers, storage and network connectivity. Provides system administration for assigned infrastructure and establishes and maintains security as it relates to users. Applies security patches and operating system upgrades to ensure the security and integrity of the technical environment. Supports new infrastructure projects. Maintains all configuration documentation for assigned infrastructure.

Qualifications:

Required:

Typically has a University Degree or equivalent.

Six years minimum of working experience in IT supplies/logistics, customer service, production, data entry, computer operations.

Active Secret Security Clearance

Security+ or equivalent certification may be required.
