Internship Program Details:

Pricing interns work in a team environment to establish and execute optimal price levels for various products and services at Caterpillar. This is accomplished by providing pricing recommendations and a thorough analysis of various business indicators including sales, competitive environment, and product value characteristics. The revenue management internship program provides support before, during and after the internship to ensure that every intern gains the appropriate professional and personal growth necessary to be successful in the corporate environment.

Session Dates:

Summer 2025: 5/19/2025 - 8/08/2025

This is a 40-hour-per-week assignment, Monday through Friday, lasting 12 weeks in the summer.

Besides exciting work, Corporate Interns will experience:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled full-time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs: Bachelors or Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Business Management, Statistics, Mathematics, Marketing, or another business-related field.

  • Minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA (both Major GPA & Cumulative GPA).

  • 12 completed semester hours prior to the start of the internship.

  • If a transfer student must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university.

Top Candidates Will Also Have:

  • Previous internship and/or relevant work experience.

  • Strong analytical, initiative, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Leadership involvement in student associations.

The LTDP is a rotational development program, consisting of three 1-year rotational assignments across the United States in different participating facilities.

  • Relocation is a requirement to join the program and required throughout the program as you maneuver in and out of different positions during the diverse rotational assignments. Locations across the United States are potential relocation options. Not all locations available are listed.

  • Upon completion of the program, LTDP graduates are placed in a role that continues to demand technical and leadership excellence gained through the program for the duration of at least 18 months. The graduate role could be any location throughout the US.

Base salary for this role ranges from $75,900* and *$113,856 . Actual salary will be based on degree, completed degree level and priorinternship experience at Caterpillar. The total rewards package, beyond base salary includes:

Internship Program Details:

Summer 2025 Corporate Intern Session:

Compensation and Benefits:

At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account the following factors: the number of completed semester credit hours and whether the internship is considered an engineering, technical, or non-technical role. For Graduate level opportunities, the pay rate is determined by the type of degree you are pursuing (Master's or Doctorate) post receiving an undergraduate degree.

Intern Pay Range:

Undergraduate: $21.40 - $27.90 per hour

Graduate: $32.25 - $38.50 per hour

Compensation and Benefits:

At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized for Digital and Analytics roles and we take into account the number of completed semester credit hours.

Undergraduate Pay Range: $22.60 - $29.50 per hour

Graduate Pay Range: $33.90 - $40.70 per hour

Pricing interns work in a team environment to establish and execute optimal price levels for various products and services at Caterpillar. As a Lifecycle Global Account Manager with the Construction Industries Services Division (CISD), you will support Construction Industries Global Accounts with responsibility for driving improved customer loyalty for both parts growth and machine sales growth. This position will develop a Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) model that will be leveraged to support Customer Value Agreement (CVA) growth, Ground Engaging Tool (GET) Cost Per Hour (CPH), rebuild analysis as a comparison to percentage of new models and support Global Construction & Infrastructure Division (GCI) on new machine tenders. In addition, the position will be responsible to develop a strategy that is tied to discount programs to support the aftermarket for rebuilds, GET, CVAs. This is a great opportunity for you to build and enhance your network as you will collaborate with both the GCI and CISD Global Account Managers and leverage the internal business partners of CISD to develop best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Negotiate complex, single, and multi-year signed agreements by Caterpillar and customer executives when TCO is included.

  • Develop aftermarket services offerings and create / modify merchandising programs to support the desired TCO.

  • Support Total Maintenance and Repair, CVA contract quoting.

  • Familiarize yourself with the customers TCO purchasing decisions that impact both rebuilds and new machine purchases.

  • Identify and resolve unmet customer needs focused on lowest TCO analysis.

  • Develop and support the process to calculate, define and explain carbon impact on rebuild vs new and Cat Reman utilization.

  • Ensure commitments are executed per the contract, manages aftermarket offerings, and drives consistency for customers on a worldwide basis.

  • Achieve business plans for both new machine sales and parts sales to users, including the development of aftermarket services to support the customers short and long strategy.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of professional experience

  • Experience with Aftermarket business including understanding of the needs of customers, dealers, and product groups.

  • At least 4 years' experience in the field and collaborating with dealers.

  • Understanding of how to leverage Builder Files to calculate TCO by machine model & serial number by customer.

  • Understanding of how to pull parts to calculate rebuilds, CVAs for cost per hour and total cost of ownership calculations.

  • Ability to negotiate complex agreements with customers using various concepts and techniques, including ability to influence internal business partners.

  • Understanding of proper account management practices to support customers.

  • Travel is expected to be 35% to 50% for both domestic and international.
