The Senior Manager - Digital Program Management oversees strategic planning, integration and delivery of the key elements in the Digital Aftermarket Services program, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Caterpillar's Digital, IT, Product and Aftermarket organizations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Defining, establishing and monitoring Digital Aftermarket Services program goals pertaining to e-Commerce, IoT connectivity and Condition Monitoring, and driving their execution.

  • Developing strategies to ensure projects within the program are cohesive and aligned with respect to organizational goals and deliverables.

  • Leading or supporting strategy generation around various digital products and services initiatives.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the timely delivery of materials to the facility, collaborating with suppliers to coordinate deliveries, shipping schedules and work schedules to meet facility production plans. Using supplier collaboration technologies, collaborates with suppliers and operations to plan delivery of material for production

  • Actively collaborates with suppliers to perform root cause corrective actions to resolve quality and supplier performance issues. This work may require planning for alternate manufacturing methods

  • This position analyzes established parts schedules and production requirements, converting requirements into appropriate piece parts, requisitioning the materials, regulating inventory levels and issuing work orders. Analyzes engineering releases for changes and/or new releases and coordinates effective release dates to provide an efficient depletion of related existing stock items

  • Incumbent manages and performs supplier scheduling and implementation of engineering changes for the efficient manufacture of products and components. This position supports supply chain performance efforts by monitoring and tracking supplier performance metrics

  • Incumbent performs work to improve point of use material availability, applying root cause analysis and corrective actions. Provides Material Planning expertise to facility functions in support of improving demand variability, forecast credibility and usability for production planning

Basic Qualifications:

  • 1+ year Supply Chain / Warehouse experience

Caterpillar is looking for a proactive, high-energy, take-ownership Transfer Pricing Associate Director to join our Global Tax team. Based in the United States, this position will have global responsibilities and report directly to the Global Transfer Pricing Director - joining a dynamic International Tax and Transfer Pricing Team within Caterpillar that works closely with our Business Units (BUs). This role will have direct responsibility for developing, managing, implementing, and executing our Enterprise and Regional transfer pricing planning initiatives and transfer pricing strategies. This experienced transfer pricing professional will be a valued member on a global team that develops and provides complex technical transfer pricing support to our business partners Globally.

The candidate will work closely with members across the global tax department and external stakeholder teams (e.g., Business Units, Finance, Legal, Systems) to consider current and future business plans, obtain cross-functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination, development, and execution of cross-functional tax and transfer pricing solutions in a sustainable manner. The candidate must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex transfer pricing concepts in ways that are meaningful and actionable to both tax and non-tax professionals.

What you will do:

  • Monitor transfer pricing developments and ensure timely communication of relevant impacts to the Business Units and other Global Tax team members;

  • Assist with the development and execution of enterprise transfer pricing planning strategies;

  • Develop and deliver transfer pricing and economic ideas in a timely manner;

  • Assist with legal entity reviews including functional interviews, entity characterization, transfer pricing policy review and recommendations for change;

  • Support with transfer pricing audits including preparation of responses to queries from tax authorities;

  • Review commercial transactions and legal documents for transfer pricing implications;

  • Liaise with Global Tax, Corporate Accounting, Corporate Treasury, Enterprise Financial Shared Services, Legal Services Division, and others as needed to facilitate and execute on transfer pricing projects and initiatives; and

  • Liaise with external tax consultants as needed to obtain advice as directed.

What you will have:

Tax Management and Regulations: Knowledge of tax laws, organizational tax practices, obligations; and an ability to manage organization tax related issues. Knowledge of International Tax and Transfer Pricing Regulations and Guidelines; and an ability to adhere to International Tax regulations on all transfer pricing matters as they pertain to a particular business or industry.

Research Analysis and Producing Results: Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies, and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by yourself and others. Understanding of the criticality of getting things done despite current circumstances and the ability to utilize assigned resources and leverage back-channel resources (individuals or teams) to achieve or exceed planned outcomes.

Planning: Tactical, Strategic and Problem Solving: Knowledge of effective planning techniques and ability to contribute to operational (short term), tactical (1-2 years) and strategic (3-5 years) planning in support of the overall business plan. Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Effective Communications and Leadership : Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors. The candidate must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex transfer pricing concepts in ways that are meaningful and actionable to both tax and non-tax professionals.

What you will do:

  • Monitor transfer pricing developments and ensure timely communication of relevant impacts to the Business Units and other Global Tax team members;

  • Assist with the development and execution of enterprise transfer pricing planning strategies;

The Senior Manager - Digital Program Management oversees strategic planning, integration and delivery of the key elements in the Digital Aftermarket Services program, collaborating with cross-functional teams across Caterpillar's Digital, IT, Product and Aftermarket organizations. Based in the United States, this position will have global responsibilities and report directly to the Global Transfer Pricing Director - joining a dynamic International Tax and Transfer Pricing Team within Caterpillar that works closely with our Business Units (BUs). This role will have direct responsibility for developing, managing, implementing, and executing our Enterprise and Regional transfer pricing planning initiatives and transfer pricing strategies. The candidate will work closely with members across the global tax department and external stakeholder teams (e.g., Business Units, Finance, Legal, Systems) to consider current and future business plans, obtain cross-functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination, development, and execution of cross-functional tax and transfer pricing solutions in a sustainable manner. The candidate must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex transfer pricing concepts in ways that are meaningful and actionable to both tax and non-tax professionals.

What you will do:

  • Monitor transfer pricing developments and ensure timely communication of relevant impacts to the Business Units and other Global Tax team members;

  • Assist with the development and execution of enterprise transfer pricing planning strategies;

  • Develop and deliver transfer pricing and economic ideas in a timely manner;

  • Assist with legal entity reviews including functional interviews, entity characterization, transfer pricing policy review and recommendations for change;

  • Support with transfer pricing audits including preparation of responses to queries from tax authorities;

  • Review commercial transactions and legal documents for transfer pricing implications;

Based in the United States, this position will have global responsibilities and report directly to the Global Transfer Pricing Director - joining a dynamic International Tax and Transfer Pricing Team within Caterpillar that works closely with our Business Units (BUs). This role will have direct responsibility for developing, managing, implementing, and executing our Enterprise and Regional transfer pricing planning initiatives and transfer pricing strategies. This experienced transfer pricing professional will be a valued member on a global team that develops and provides complex technical transfer pricing support to our business partners Globally.

The candidate will work closely with members across the global tax department and external stakeholder teams (e.g., Business Units, Finance, Legal, Systems) to consider current and future business plans, obtain cross-functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination, development, and execution of cross-functional tax and transfer pricing solutions in a sustainable manner. The candidate must be able to communicate, both verbally and in writing, complex transfer pricing concepts in ways that are meaningful and actionable to both tax and non-tax professionals.

What you will do:

  • Monitor transfer pricing developments and ensure timely communication of relevant impacts to the Business Units and other Global Tax team members;

  • Assist with the development and execution of enterprise transfer pricing planning strategies;

  • Develop and deliver transfer pricing and economic ideas in a timely manner;

  • Assist with legal entity reviews including functional interviews, entity characterization, transfer pricing policy review and recommendations for change;

  • Support with transfer pricing audits including preparation of responses to queries from tax authorities;

  • Analyzing and forecasting the profit impact and or sales variance of proposed pricing actions while providing consultation to key business partners.

  • Involved in activities to manage total pricing procedures and compliance while ensuring timely response to market business partners and market conditions.

  • Sponsor, lead, or support several process standardization and improvement projects supporting GMP's strategic goals. These projects involve members and SME's from Global Claims and also other GMP groups, Business partners and Dealers, and can be global in scope.

  • Incumbents guide their own development and direct others' continual learning staying up to date with technology changes via training. Job duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

. Identify and prepare parts, gearing and sub-assemblies by cleaning, deburring, polishing, fitting and dressing using file, deburring equipment, etc. Manually or with hoist, jib or overhead crane, jacks, horses, etc., position and align work pieces. Make simple assemblies and sub-assemblies working to drawings, or templates.

. May perform operations such as pressing bushings, fitting keys or splines, dressing gear teeth, fit up brake bands, fit gears on shafts and make other simple assemblies or sub-assemblies of similar complexity under the direction of assembler.

. Keep facilities, material and work area clean and orderly, exercising care in their use and assisting in their maintenance as required. Conform to safety and inspection requirements.

Required Qualifications:

. Minimum of 2 years experience grinding, sanding, cleaning and detailing parts.

. Experience of loading and securing large components onto rail and transfer cars.

Desired Qualifications:

. Minimum 2 years finish grinding experience.

. Ability to work well individually or in a team environment.

. Ability to work overtime to support production demands.

. Experience in preserving and securing parts on crates and skids.

. Machining experience a plus.

. Ability to read blueprints.

Role Definition

The Large Power Systems Division (LPSD) has an opening for a Regulatory Compliance Lead for the emissions compliance team within the Emissions & Power Systems Regulatory and Compliance department. The Regulatory Compliance Lead will support Progress Rail and collaborate with engine and locomotive product groups to ensure worldwide emissions regulatory requirements are met. This position supports product regulatory compliance programs through various activities that assist in managing compliance risk and ensuring compliance with applicable product regulatory requirements for intended markets.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure regulatory compliance marking requirements are met, including design and installation for all Progress Rail applications.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities for processes and tools used to manage product regulatory compliance risks.

  • Collaborate with product groups, design control and operations to ensure the development, validation and production of product that meets applicable product regulatory requirements.

  • Provide emissions marking regulatory guidance to the business on locomotive emissions compliance marking

  • Support Progress Rail Locomotive and Progress Rail Services product development programs through Voice of the Regulator (VoR) processes to ensure that emissions compliance marking requirements are identified early in each program
