The Product Support and Logistics Division (PSLD) is one of the most innovative divisions within Caterpillar. About the Role:
PSLD's Maintenance Components business is seeking a part-time intern to work in our Mossville facility. This role is ideal for currently enrolled in a four-year university to work alongside engineering professionals to learn and apply themselves. The intern will have an opportunity for project work within their teams.
This intern will have assignments that provide them with experience and significant learning opportunities. In addition to this work, interns can network with management throughout the company to learn about Caterpillar areas outside their assigned team. Students can deepen their business skills in their assignments through team and business partner interactions, develop their skills, conduct presentations, and measure their success through the performance and evaluation process.
What You Will Do:
The intern will join a team with diverse project responsibilities and have valuable networking opportunities with all levels of Caterpillar employees. The internship assignment would work up to 32-hour-per-week assignment lasting 28 weeks (January 6, 2025 - July 27, 2025).
The intern will have the opportunity to support the engineering team in development, testing and validation activities for hose and coupling that are used on Caterpillar equipment. The internship will mainly cover these 3 areas (but can include more depending on business need):
Support Tooling Growth Projects
Lab activities: Cat Experience, Safety, and Lab Modernization Support
Maintenance Support Operations and Growth Support
What You Have (Internship Qualifications):
Analytical skills, initiating ideas, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, problem-solving, and critical thinking capabilities
Knowledge of engineering principles, theory, and engineering experience gained through projects, internships, and/or relevant work experiences
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to quickly gain and effectively apply new skills & knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be enrolled full-time in a 4-year university/college pursuing an ABET accredited degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Agricultural or Aerospace Engineering or Engineering Technology
Must have 30 completed semester hours before the start of the internship.If a transfer student must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
Minimum 3.0/4.0 Cumulative Grade Point Average (no rounding) at current institution
Expected graduation date of August 2025 or later
Must be able to work from the Mossville office area for the duration of the internship and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation.

CO-OP responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
Working with engineering staff to collect data for capital and salvage projects.
Ensure the accuracy of existing documentation released to operations including line rates and sequenced procedures.
Creating Standard Work for various areas within Operations.
Performing capacity analysis studies on production work areas and equipment.
Assisting the Continuous Product Improvement group with quality and warranty data analysis.
Creating AutoCAD drawings of production tooling.
Performing routine duties such as process waste elimination and safety walks.
Using 3-D printed proto-types or useable gages and assembly fixtures

Job Summary:
Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT) is a joint venture between Caterpillar and Trimble whose purpose is to transform the way heavy equipment customers shape the world with solutions that differentiate Caterpillar and Trimble.
The Regional Specialist will be part of an international team providing external customer site verification and validation (V&V) for CTCT products. This position networks closely with CTCT internal product/project teams, as well as Caterpillar and Trimble product teams, to provide high-quality products to the earthmoving, paving, and mining industries. This hands-on role will leverage the experiences and training gained from previous grade control positions.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for participating in risk identification processes with the wider product/project teams.
- Responsible for customer selection, visits, logistics, parts ordering, product training, feedback, issue resolution and documentation.
- Working with Cat and Trimble to identify appropriate customers for external V&V.
- Accountable for creating test plans regarding external customer machines and sites.
- First point of contact for identification and management of product issues from external customer sites
- Management of Trimble, Caterpillar and CTCT databases used in tracking product issues.

Work from Pro-E models, VisView models, blueprints and verbal instructions
Assist install builds in various stages on both gaseous fuel and diesel type engines

Maintenance is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of all facilities within SPM, acting as the contact for emergency situations that affect the company ability to open for business.

Essential Duties:
Operates, Maintains and Troubleshoots more complex HVAC mechanical systems to including Chillers, split systems up to 120 tons, mini split systems, multizones, VRV heat pump/recovery, RTUS and packaged systems, WSHP, self-contained systems, CRAC units, AHUs and EFs, pumps and piping.
Coordinates work processes on large projects. Performs disassembly and reassembly of large or small commercial equipment to perform troubleshooting and planned maintenance. Proficiently operates hand tools, power tools, gauges and measuring equipment.
Completes project, preventative, and corrective maintenance as directed. Develops long-term relationships with customers.
Communicates and documents project status to all project stakeholders.
Purchases materials and issues purchase requests to leadership as needed.
Maintains equipment, tools, and inventory stock on service vehicle.
Able to work effectively with app-based software including HVAC control systems and CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software).

The Engineering Manager position leads a team of project engineers in the designing and testing of generator paralleling switchgear and controls. This position performs technical reviews of project designs as well as support for hardware design, PLC programming, and testing of their team's projects. The Engineering Manager monitors the quality, cost, and schedule of their team's project. They provide technical guidance for design standards for the overall engineering department.
What you will do:
Lead a team of engineers in the technical design of power and generator control switchgear.
Lead a team of engineers on project execution while monitoring quality, costing, and timeliness of projects.

Caterpillar Inc. seeks Embedded Product Analytics Senior Engineer at its facility located at Building AC, Caterpillar Inc., 2427 Engine Dr., Chillicothe, IL 61525.
Job Duties: Support product engineering teams throughout Caterpillar through the remote collection and analysis of engineering data from Caterpillar products. The section includes both the SuperComm2 (SC2) Command Center team (our IOT data acquisition team) and the Engineering Intelligence team (our custom analytics team). Responsible for ensuring that all the high value SC2 data streaming in from thousands of machines and engines each day is received, converted, and stored so that it can be efficiently accessed and analyzed by engineers and data analysts throughout the company. Support the development and maintenance of the SuperComm2 Command Center applications. Migrate back-office applications from on-premises servers to AWS cloud solutions. Develop embedded software for the remote collection, storage, and transmission of engineering data. Troubleshoot issues with the back-office data flow or the SC2 Website as they arise. Develop application software used to configure remote data collection units.
Requirements : This position requires a Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 Years of experience in software development (web applications, software tools, or controls/automation) or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) At least one coding language such as: Python; (2) Cloud database technologies such as: AWS, Snowflake, etc.; (3) Lambda, SNS, and SQS in AWS; (4) EC2, API Gateway, and Aurora; (5) Git or similar version control software; (6) CADeT & SuperComm2 (SC2); and (7) Databases such as: Oracle, Snowflake, and MySQL. Role Definition
As a Supply Chain Planning Analyst on the KK Material Planning team, you perform both operational and tactical work to meet plant material deliverables. You will be responsible for building relationships with your supply base, managing the procurement of Purchase Finished Material from the worldwide supply base, working with supply base to deliver parts on time.
