Establish routes, schedules and procedures with the school director to maximize safety of children.
Adhere to the established schedule to the best of your ability.
Observe all Department of Motor Vehicle rules and regulations and make sure all speed limits are observed.
Complete a daily inspection of the bus, a weekly inspection of tires, oil, blades, etc. and report all bus maintenance issues to the Director.
Insure there is an adequate amount of fuel to complete the trip.
Ensure all state mandated items are present and in good working order.
Passenger Log forms should be completed as children arrive and depart the bus.
Keep the bus litter free and cleaned up after each bus run.
Ensure the safety of the children at all times.
Meet and maintain all state licensing requirements/qualifications and comply with all CNI Policies and Procedures at all times.
Attend all staff trainings and pursue professional training when available.
Maintain flexibility regarding the business demands of the school, including scheduled working hours and assignments.
Assist in other areas as requested by management.
Be able to properly/safely lift amounts in accordance with the guidelines outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures of the department assigned.

Knowledge includes: thorough understanding of the Head Start/Early Head Start program model; regulations and standards in early child development; teaching strategies; and the critical contributing components of a high quality learning environment for infants and toddlers
Training, education or experience may be substituted for certain minimum qualifications
- Plan and maintain a safe, clean, learning environment, and assures the well-being and safety of children in her/his care.
- Establish a caring professional relationship and a climate of mutual trust and respect for families.
- Plan and implement activities with children between the ages of zero and three, with the curriculum provided and with Head Start mandated outcomes.
- Maintain a cooperative attitude of working together with center staff, volunteers, parents, and program specialists in planning and implementing classroom activities.
- Plan and implement daily activities that engage children in literacy, language, and math activities using songs, books and games that are integrated with themes/topics.
- Use assessment information for individually interacting with children during learning center activities and other times for teaching identified concepts.

Wear a hair net at all times
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in accordance with the standards set by the division of environmental health
Perform cleaning duties including scour sinks, straighten and wipe out refrigerator, wipe down stove and fan, empty garbage after lunch and at the end of the day, sweep and mop kitchen floor, clean and sanitize office/staff bathrooms, clean oven, clean trash can with bleach and water, clean counter tops with bleach and water, defrost and clean out freezers, clean, sweep and mop laundry room, dust shelves in kitchen and laundry room, and use fresh wash rinse sterile water in sinks between washing
Assist with preparing all paperwork required by the food program including meal counts and production records

At least 1 year of Assistant director experience and/or child development training
AA in ECE degree required (level II admin credential highly preferred)
Must be a team builder, organized and possess excellent customer service/communication skills.
Personal characteristics -
+ + Caring and compassionate attitude when interacting with and caring for children,
Strong verbal communication and listening skills to converse with children, fellow professional caregivers and parents or guardians
Excellent patience and stamina for keeping up with the demands of children of all ages
Advanced multitasking and organizational skills to handle multiple children at a time
Physical abilities- Must be able to bend, stoop, stand, and lift up to 25-40lbs daily

+ + Managing the schools budget and financial success in order for the school to contribute to the profitability of the company.
Hiring, supervising, and training staff
Operate the school according to state licensing standards
Assist teachers with development and execution of curriculum and activities that contribute to the growth, education, and development of the children in our school.
Purchasing supplies, equipment, food, etc. while operating within budgetary guidelines.
Develop community partnerships and marketing strategies.
Ensure the safety of the children in our care.
