As a member of the Content & Learning, the Content Acquisition Operations Team serves our product and content teams and the corporation in the development of all Cengage Group products. Our primary mission is to increase the speed to market of Cengage products by crafting detailed licensing plans, and providing content analysis while jointing working with and leading acquisition work alongside partners. This is in addition to maintaining compliance to legal policy, through excellence in planning, efficiency in management, and effective collaboration with key contributors.
What You'll Do Here:
Proactively provides guidance to Product Management and Content Development teams regarding content and acquisition activities
Using extensive research and analysis to locate third-party content when applicable and cost-effective items if available
Identify free and low-cost opportunities for licensing
Exhibits the personality, drive, and abilities to steer authors, content managers, and product teams towards enriching content selection choices during the content creation process
Develops in-depth knowledge of team product lines and are subject matter authorities on team content, maintains relationships with internal and external teams and authors, and frequently used rights holders within product line
Keep up to date on current Copyright Law and industry changes such as key developments and/or trends in field, potential sources and topics, and marketing opportunities
Plans, analyzes, and implements project workflows based on content and complexity; Crafts overall licensing plan and strategy for product list
Ability to identify workflow issues, source issues/concerns, or team member issues that can potentially jeopardize project schedules, prior to and during the development phase of projects.
Uses strategy and critical thinking, resolves issues of various nature while ensuring all project goals and legal compliance are met
Analyze new and reuse content requests and product logs to effectively identify appropriate rights profiles, legal risks, I&D initiatives, budget plans, licensing plans, and schedule concerns
Review rights contracts for rights profile compliance, work with Legal Counsel as needed
Demonstrates creative problem solving and implements creative solutions
Actively participates in planning and launch meetings; leads content acquisition work with team partners and Rights & Permissions vendor
Drive thoughtful content decisions by guiding content teams, authors, and product to appropriate content source options
Ability to engage in sophisticated rights conversations and source management with successful outcomes
Provides post-analysis as needed to identify issues and develop revision recommendations
Works with Vendor Project Manager to ensure timely project close and delivery of rights
Provide partner and author training as required on content selection, process, IP rights, etc.
Lead multiple projects and partners at a time throughout the project life cycle while ensuring project goals, schedule, and budget is met while ensuring Cengage rights compliance
Ability to work independently and pivot quickly and conclusively when to meet project needs
Makes recommendations around process and systems improvement
Skills You'll Need Here:
Bachelor's degree/equivalent work experience
Shown experience in risk analysis and interpretation of IP
Strong understanding of content acquisition, clearance processes, corporate copyright policy, and strategy, including knowledge of fair use and public domain parameters
Ability to communicate in a variety of styles and settings clearly and effectively
Exhibits customer service and leadership skills to persuade and steer teams toward desired outcomes
Ability to analyze sophisticated data and project information and make recommendations that align with both legal requirements and business need
Consistent record leading projects and initiatives; proven ability determining the process vital to get things done

Credit/Collections Specialist
This position completes clerical duties critical to the daily function of the credit department within established departmental policies and procedures. This position will provide backup for the Credit Analyst role, as needed. NOTE: This is a remote based position, with periodic office visits required. Candidates in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana region preferred, to travel periodically to our Independence, Kentucky offices.
Duties and Responsibilities as position/experience evolve:
Core Collection & Receivable Duties
Cover daily work tasks and/or held order coverage for Credit Analysts in the event of their periodic absence.
Assisting in check application and/or chargeback research for Major Chain Accounts.
Clerical Duties
Uploads invoices into select customer Vendor portals.
Assisting with Invoice retypes/adjustments for the Credit Analysts.
Assisting in supervising the Invoice Inbox, forwarding requests to analysts, replying to customers with invoice/statements as requested, correcting/updating email addresses based on requests and undelivered notices.
Pulling/Uploading Proof of Delivery Confirmations for open invoices approaching 100 days past due.
Provides general backup/support/review of payments requests to analysts and management, as needed.
Assists with audits by pulling backup documentation vital to satisfy internal and external auditors' requests, periodically.
Reporting
Provide team with assistance in compiling Final Notices, Refund Requests, Third Party Placement Requests, and submitting electronically to acquire the appropriate signature approvals.
Aid manager with month-end reporting, as needed.
Aid the Credit team with routine reports to assist in collection process, as needed.
Provide documentation/updates to accounts via email/phone, as needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic (Required)
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
PC literacy required - proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel & Word
Track record of ability to perform duties independently with minimal direction in an accurate and effective manner
Strong organizational skills are critical in servicing the accounts to insure their goodwill and promotion of future orders

The ServiceNOW CMDB Developer Analyst plays a vital role to our IT Service Management Framework. Would you like to be part of an energized, critical, and valued member of our Service Management team? As a member of our team, we will advocate the importance of an ITIL best practices structured approach of providing a CMDB CI and Business Service data certification process. You will utilize ServiceNow's CMDB Health Dashboard to ensure data integrity for completeness, compliance, and correctness. The CMDB referential integrity is crucial for the Major Incident Management (MIM) process of reducing MTTR (Mean Time To Restore) and ensuring SLAs are met. This role will be responsible for using Discovery to ingest infrastructure items into the CMDB and provide service mapping for both infrastructure-to-services, but also service-to-service mapping as well. The CMDB Developer Analyst will ensure that risk and impact assessments are factored into RFCs via Change Management processes, coupled with proper routing, approval & support groups are properly configured.
This role will also require creation of 'How-to' videos for CMDB data certification and provide detailed CMDB policy information for maintaining data integrity. You will be responsible for coordinating with other ITSM team roles, such as Performance Analytics Engineer, Business Analysts, and report to the ServiceNow Platform manager. You will also interface with inter-departmental groups such as Internal Hosting & Operations, End User Experience & Collaboration Technology Solutions, within the Cengage organization.
Experience in related IT or process Engineering field, including ServiceNOW certified ITOM/ITAM will be highly successful. CCNA level of networking knowledge includes routing protocols, TCP/UDP transmission, IP transit diagnosis, sub-netting and implement advanced troubleshooting including the ability to gather and analyze IP packet-level data.
Intermediate knowledge and ability of Server Administration across OS platforms, including understanding of described domain structures, user permission levels, group policy objects and the execution of SUDO policies.
Serve as primary contact for monitoring the health of the ServiceNow CMDB and associated integrations.
Work with IT infrastructure and application teams to maintain accuracy of the CMDB.
Monitor incoming service requests and incidents as related to CMDB and associated integrations.
Define potential improvements to resolve errors, prevent recurrence of problems or improve system maintainability and stability.
Implementation and configuration of new solutions in ServiceNow that meets requirements and considers user experience.
Develop and support integrations between ServiceNow and other applications.
Identify solution alternatives to address issues identified.
Maintain procedural documentation artifacts (policies, run books, requirements, design documents, build, deployment, install guides) and process standards along with regular audits to validate accuracy.

Credit/Collections Specialist
This position completes clerical duties critical to the daily function of the credit department within established departmental policies and procedures. This position will provide backup for the Credit Analyst role, as needed. NOTE: This is a remote based position, with periodic office visits required. Candidates in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana region preferred, to travel periodically to our Independence, Kentucky offices.
Duties and Responsibilities as position/experience evolve:
Core Collection & Receivable Duties
Cover daily work tasks and/or held order coverage for Credit Analysts in the event of their periodic absence.
Assisting in check application and/or chargeback research for Major Chain Accounts.
Clerical Duties
Uploads invoices into select customer Vendor portals.
Assisting with Invoice retypes/adjustments for the Credit Analysts.
Assisting in supervising the Invoice Inbox, forwarding requests to analysts, replying to customers with invoice/statements as requested, correcting/updating email addresses based on requests and undelivered notices.
Pulling/Uploading Proof of Delivery Confirmations for open invoices approaching 100 days past due.
Provides general backup/support/review of payments requests to analysts and management, as needed.
Assists with audits by pulling backup documentation vital to satisfy internal and external auditors' requests, periodically.
Reporting
Provide team with assistance in compiling Final Notices, Refund Requests, Third Party Placement Requests, and submitting electronically to acquire the appropriate signature approvals.
Aid manager with month-end reporting, as needed.
Aid the Credit team with routine reports to assist in collection process, as needed.
Provide documentation/updates to accounts via email/phone, as needed.

As a member of the Content & Learning, the Content Acquisition Operations Team serves our product and content teams and the corporation in the development of all Cengage Group products. Proactively provides guidance to Product Management and Content Development teams regarding content and acquisition activities
Using extensive research and analysis to locate third-party content when applicable and cost-effective items if available
Identify free and low-cost opportunities for licensing
Exhibits the personality, drive, and abilities to steer authors, content managers, and product teams towards enriching content selection choices during the content creation process
Develops in-depth knowledge of team product lines and are subject matter authorities on team content, maintains relationships with internal and external teams and authors, and frequently used rights holders within product line
Keep up to date on current Copyright Law and industry changes such as key developments and/or trends in field, potential sources and topics, and marketing opportunities
Plans, analyzes, and implements project workflows based on content and complexity; Crafts overall licensing plan and strategy for product list
Ability to identify workflow issues, source issues/concerns, or team member issues that can potentially jeopardize project schedules, prior to and during the development phase of projects.
Uses strategy and critical thinking, resolves issues of various nature while ensuring all project goals and legal compliance are met
Analyze new and reuse content requests and product logs to effectively identify appropriate rights profiles, legal risks, I&D initiatives, budget plans, licensing plans, and schedule concerns
Review rights contracts for rights profile compliance, work with Legal Counsel as needed
Demonstrates creative problem solving and implements creative solutions
Actively participates in planning and launch meetings; leads content acquisition work with team partners and Rights & Permissions vendor
Drive thoughtful content decisions by guiding content teams, authors, and product to appropriate content source options

Credit/Collections Specialist
This position completes clerical duties critical to the daily function of the credit department within established departmental policies and procedures. This position will provide backup for the Credit Analyst role, as needed. NOTE: This is a remote based position, with periodic office visits required. Candidates in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana region preferred, to travel periodically to our Independence, Kentucky offices.
Duties and Responsibilities as position/experience evolve:
Core Collection & Receivable Duties
Cover daily work tasks and/or held order coverage for Credit Analysts in the event of their periodic absence.
Assisting in check application and/or chargeback research for Major Chain Accounts.
Clerical Duties
Uploads invoices into select customer Vendor portals.
Assisting with Invoice retypes/adjustments for the Credit Analysts.
Assisting in supervising the Invoice Inbox, forwarding requests to analysts, replying to customers with invoice/statements as requested, correcting/updating email addresses based on requests and undelivered notices.
Pulling/Uploading Proof of Delivery Confirmations for open invoices approaching 100 days past due.
Provides general backup/support/review of payments requests to analysts and management, as needed.
Assists with audits by pulling backup documentation vital to satisfy internal and external auditors' requests, periodically.
Reporting
Provide team with assistance in compiling Final Notices, Refund Requests, Third Party Placement Requests, and submitting electronically to acquire the appropriate signature approvals.
Aid manager with month-end reporting, as needed.
Aid the Credit team with routine reports to assist in collection process, as needed.
Provide documentation/updates to accounts via email/phone, as needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic (Required)
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
PC literacy required - proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel & Word
Track record of ability to perform duties independently with minimal direction in an accurate and effective manner
Strong organizational skills are critical in servicing the accounts to insure their goodwill and promotion of future orders
Well organized and capable of balancing multiple tasks
Highly flexible and a standout colleague
Preferred
Associate degree or equivalent work experience

As a member of the Content & Learning, the Content Acquisition Operations Team serves our product and content teams and the corporation in the development of all Cengage Group products. Credit/Collections Specialist
This position completes clerical duties critical to the daily function of the credit department within established departmental policies and procedures. This position will provide backup for the Credit Analyst role, as needed. NOTE: This is a remote based position, with periodic office visits required. Candidates in the Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana region preferred, to travel periodically to our Independence, Kentucky offices.
Duties and Responsibilities as position/experience evolve:
Core Collection & Receivable Duties
Cover daily work tasks and/or held order coverage for Credit Analysts in the event of their periodic absence.
Assisting in check application and/or chargeback research for Major Chain Accounts.
Clerical Duties
Uploads invoices into select customer Vendor portals.
Assisting with Invoice retypes/adjustments for the Credit Analysts.
Assisting in supervising the Invoice Inbox, forwarding requests to analysts, replying to customers with invoice/statements as requested, correcting/updating email addresses based on requests and undelivered notices.
Pulling/Uploading Proof of Delivery Confirmations for open invoices approaching 100 days past due.
Provides general backup/support/review of payments requests to analysts and management, as needed.
Assists with audits by pulling backup documentation vital to satisfy internal and external auditors' requests, periodically.
Reporting
Provide team with assistance in compiling Final Notices, Refund Requests, Third Party Placement Requests, and submitting electronically to acquire the appropriate signature approvals.
Aid manager with month-end reporting, as needed.
Aid the Credit team with routine reports to assist in collection process, as needed.
Provide documentation/updates to accounts via email/phone, as needed.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Basic (Required)
High School Diploma or GED
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
PC literacy required - proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel & Word
Track record of ability to perform duties independently with minimal direction in an accurate and effective manner
Strong organizational skills are critical in servicing the accounts to insure their goodwill and promotion of future orders

Education Consultants play a vital role in driving sales revenue for our ed2go continuing education and career training programs. As an Education Consultant, you will be responsible for prioritizing qualified leads generated through various channels, including our website, referrals, live chat, and telephone. Your primary objective will be to match prospective students with the most suitable program, while ensuring a top-notch customer experience at every touchpoint.

Education Consultants play a vital role in driving sales revenue for our ed2go continuing education and career training programs. As an Education Consultant, you will be responsible for prioritizing qualified leads generated through various channels, including our website, referrals, live chat, and telephone. Your primary objective will be to match prospective students with the most suitable program, while ensuring a top-notch customer experience at every touchpoint.
At Cengage Group, we prioritize delivering the highest quality student experience from an individual's first contact with us through their initial enrollment. As an Education Consultant, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that our processes and infrastructure deliver on that promise. Be skilled in asking appropriate and probing questions, overcoming objections, and managing your time effectively.
Be proficient in navigating sites and applications and technically literate.

Be responsible for completing all required reports regarding sales and sales campaigns, market feedback, and team territory management activities
Manage your pipeline effectively to meet or exceed enrollment objectives
