What you'll do here: + Work Marketing Qualified Leads daily. + Assist sales team with assigned internal requests and support the daily operations needed to generate sales. + Investigate sales related issues and resolve or escalate as needed. + Gain proficiency with internal tools such as Salesforce, Tableau, and custom-built systems for managing sales communication and reporting. + Provide first line and second line support to strategic partners by answering questions and addressing issues in a timely and professional manner. + Participate in special projects to improve processes, tools, systems and organization; + Take ownership of personal learning and development and for setting achievable and meaningful work objectives + Demonstrate commitment to Cengage's values/ethos, including performing to an exceptionally high ethical standard and focus on integrity, collaboration and teamwork in all efforts. What You'll Do Here:

  • Integrated Communications - Support the Corporate Communications team on its coordinated internal and external communications programming

  • Content Curation and Creation - Curate and create content based on source documents/existing messaging as needed, including key message documents, employee memos, employee Slack messages and external content (social media content, blogs, speaking or award submissions, etc.), with oversight by team members

  • Support Ongoing Communications Programs - With guidance from your manager and other team members, support established employee communications and employee engagement programs aimed at encouraging more connection among employees and providing timely information and updates

  • Employee Events - Assist with preparing outlines and slide decks for ongoing business unit town halls, First Fridays, and help facilitate employee events as needed

  • Support for Executive Thought Leadership - Support these programs by monitoring industry trends/news, developing content (LinkedIn Posts, LinkedIn comments, media responses, executive briefing books) with oversight from team members, and tracking results

  • General Communications Team Support - Provide general support to the broader Corporate Communications teams in areas including email distribution, metrics and reporting, email list management and coordination with external vendors

Skills You Will Need Here:

  • 2-3 years of communications experience, either in-house or at an agency

  • Ability to work well on a team, share ideas and push for creative approaches to communications problems

  • Capable communicator who can simplify complex information into compelling, easy to understand narratives for a variety of audiences

In this role you will: + Shape and maintain the UX/UI of Cengage.com + Take lead in developing interactive designs and styling for cengage.com that meets customers' demands and ease of use + Take lead in developing, maintaining, and documenting detailed project UX/UI specs + Create lo-fi & hi-fi prototypes, ranging from conceptual diagrams/sketches, wireframes, visual mock-ups, and interactive files. + Contribute to all aspects of user experience and design, including user research, workflow diagramming, detailed design, development of use cases and scenarios, and engineering support + Be an advocate for users and user-centric design principles, while maintaining clear objectives that merge design, content, business, and marketing concerns + Identify and troubleshoot UX/UI problems (e.g., responsiveness) + Implement Information Architecture (IA) changes as needed + Examine analytics and usage data to make informed decisions and craft the best possible design solutions + Ensure smooth communication with developers in building the best interaction design + Articulate the assets and liabilities of designs and offer data-driven conclusions and recommendations + Prepare and present concepts to internal teams and key stakeholders + Adhere to current brand style guides and accessibility standards as provided by WCAG + Create original graphic designs (e.g., images, sketches and tables) + Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets + Track usability goals and prepare reports for management + Support front end web development via HMTL/CSS as needed Additional Qualifications + 3-5 years of proven experience in UX/UI, visual design, and development + BA or BS in graphic web design with a focus on UX/UI design/development or 3-5 years of proven work experience in a comparable field. + Must provide a robust portfolio of work. + Well versed in conversion optimization methodologies. + Mastery of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketch, inVision etc.) + Strong understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment, with some back-end knowledge. + Strong understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that website UX/UI will adhere to them + Exceptional eye for mobile-friendly/Mobile 1st design + Strong understanding of industry-leading CMSs (Drupal, WordPress, etc.) + Proven track record with testing platforms (VWO, Optimizely) + Demonstrated skill in HTML/CSS + Proficient knowledge of web metric measurement tools (Google Analytics) + Strong interpersonal skills and a positive can-do attitude. + Self-motivated and quick learner, with good organization and time management skills.
