PRACTICE SPECIFICS:

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients ranging in age. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

This new position will join our clinic oncology practice and infusion center in Virginia, MN and will help support our current practice as well as elevate the level of services we can provide. You will add support in providing survivorship plans, telemedicine, and directed conversations with patients regarding chemotherapy side effects. This position will help us to expand our outreach services in Northern Minnesota.

• Team consists of 3 physicians, 10 additional staff members including RN/LPN

• Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

• No Call/No Weekends

• Estimated Patients Per Day: 10 - 12

EDUCATION:

Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Is a professional practicing in a multi-faceted domain of specialty nursing that focuses on health care of individuals, families, groups, communities and entire populations. Provides care that occurs in primary and specialty care outpatient facilities, non-acute community out -patient settings; during tele health nursing encounters that occur in medical offices or by individual nurses in the home. Have authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing practice; makes decisions; and takes action consistent with the obligation to promote health and to provide optimal care recognizing that health is a universal right. Interacts with patients in concert with other health professionals, skillfully uses the nursing process to assess primary concerns, identify problems, analyze and integrate subjective and objective data, decide on a plan of action, apply the appropriate intervention and evaluate the outcome.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:
