Is a professional practicing in a multi-faceted domain of specialty nursing that focuses on health care of individuals, families, groups, communities and entire populations. Provides care that occurs in primary and specialty care outpatient facilities, non-acute community out -patient settings; during tele health nursing encounters that occur in medical offices or by individual nurses in the home. Have authority, accountability and responsibility for nursing practice; makes decisions; and takes action consistent with the obligation to promote health and to provide optimal care recognizing that health is a universal right. Responsible for performing fitness assessments and consultations, along with interpreting data and formulating personalized exercise programs for members. Will orientate members in the safe and proper use of the weight and aerobic equipment and takes care of scheduled maintenance of such equipment. He/she will teach exercise and fitness classes as needed as well as train new fitness staff in the policies and procedures of Essentia Health.

Job Description:

Work on a unit helping people restore their lives! You will be responsible for organizing and providing care to patients through the process of assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation while working with an interdisciplinary team of nurses, therapist, and physicians. As an RN in the Inpatient Rehab setting you will work with patients who have suffered spinal cord injuries, strokes, traumatic brain injuries as well as others who are unable to return home. You will delegate aspects of care to other nursing personnel based upon their licensure, preparation, and job descriptions. You will contribute to the meeting of the mission and goals of the facility and Essentia, and meets the requirements of the Joint Commission if applicable and/or other federal, state, and local regulatory or accrediting agencies. *
