Primary Objective

Monitors movement of tile through the kiln firing process.

Major Function and Scope

  • Monitors tile entering and exiting the kiln to ensure process is operating efficiently.

  • Inspects tile for defects.

  • Records temperature of kiln every hour during shift.

  • Collects tile samples for lab.

  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

  • Follows ISO operating procedures and control plan.

  • Helps maintain a team environment by cooperating and communicating with team.

  • Ability to maintain a clean work station, conform to all safety and health requirements, and must be able to be at work station at shift change.

  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

  • Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.

  • Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors

  • Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.

  • Report symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.

  • Participate in incident investigation.

  • Other duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Competencies

Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English.

Major Functions and Scope:

The Sr. Internal Auditor conducts internal audits for management to assess effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations at Headquarters, SSC, plant and RDC locations. This position is located in Dallas, Texas.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter that is not only knowledgeable in compliance audit but has a strong background in accounting and operational auditing. This position will include frequent travel to our Dal-Tile locations to complete audits, training, assess efficiency and communicate proper protocol with internal groups. A strong understanding of plant, distribution, operations, and sales locations is preferred. The Sr. Internal Auditor will be expected to work independently and be autonomous to make decisions with little to no supervision.

Major Function and Scope:

  • Performs site visit financial and operational audits for compliance with company policy at Sales Service Centers, Regional Distribution Centers and Manufacturing locations

  • Participates in Regional Distribution Center cycle count annual reviews

  • Performs Sarbanes-Oxley testing for primary controls at various DT locations

  • Prepares and analyzes monthly Sales Service Center control panels to assess risk and identify areas for review

  • Documents and updates various controls and processes

  • Supports special projects as defined by Dal-Tile and Mohawk management

  • Performs other related duties as required

Type of Experience and Knowledge:

  • MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Financ e, preferably with some Audit classes. At minimum, advancement towards a certification (CPA or CIA) a requirement. CPA or CIA certification, a plus.

  • 2-5yrs of audit experience required. Previous accounting experience / prior public accounting experience a plus.

  • IT Auditing background is not preferred.

  • Ability to communicate well at all levels of an organization (written and verbal).

  • Travel required 40%

  • Work well in group situations and on individual assignments.

  • Have knowledge of audit testing and risk assessment; and be able to learn new systems to extract data using MS Access, Excel and other company systems.

  • Ability to review and assess processes and provide actionable feedback and alternatives.

The Manager Showroom Sales is a first-level manager that leads the day-to-day activities of a Design Sales team in sales strategies and showroom operations to drive revenue and customer satisfaction to meet organizational objectives. This role will execute on strategies to drive sales, expand market share, and ensure customer satisfaction within a geographic area to meet operational goals including annual sales, margin targets, and operating income.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $79,200 and $99,000 + Quarterly Incentive* per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the compensation package, which depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other company-sponsored benefit programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive new business and relationships in the assigned markets.

  • Recruit, train, lead, and develop associates in all areas of job specific responsibilities.

  • Clearly define goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and regularly communicate these objectives to personnel.

  • Log all client showroom visits, contact information, and customer preference and selection notes in CMT.

  • Promote the showroom through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating to optimize exposure.

  • Maintain and update design aid tools that help secure customer sales.

  • Make outside sales calls and follow up on leads as needed.

  • Responsible for the safe operations of the Gallery, including proper opening and closing of the store.

  • Plan and host events to draw new customers into the Showroom.

  • Maintain showroom samples and merchandising.

  • Attend industry-related events to network and promote the showroom.

  • Make decisions on behalf of the team within the parameters of the unit or sub-unit.

  • Recommend changes to unit or sub-unit policies.

  • Provide direction to the team according to established policies and management guidance.

  • Oversee day-to-day work schedules and plans.

  • Act as an advisor to unit or sub-units and may become actively involved in resolving problems.

  • Exercise judgment within defined procedures and policies.

  • Review relevant factors to analyze situations and resolve issues.

  • Perform other duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.

  • 6-8 years of relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 1-3 years of management experience.

  • Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in own job discipline or field.

  • Focused on and responsible for their team's productivity and collective impact.

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively.

  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.

  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite products.

  • Flexible attitude, adaptable to change, team player, and able to handle multiple projects at once.

  • High degree of professionalism, judgment, maturity, and resourcefulness in the absence of formalized guidelines and procedures.

  • This role will be responsible for direct reports.

  • Travel is required approximately 50% of the time.

  • The ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated Forklift Marfin Operator to join our TEAM! As a Forklift Marfin Operator, we need someone who operates various powered industrial trucks to transport work in progress or finished product.

Primary Objective

The Warehouse Forklift Marfin Operator performs a variety of material handling duties associated with the manufacturing facility.

Major Function and Scope

Operates various powered industrial trucks to transport work in progress or finished product.

Removes and empties scrap and waste containers.

Operates Marfin machine (packaging of palletized products)

Follows operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

1 or more years' experience operating equipment in a manufacturing environment.

High School diploma or equivalent experience.

Competencies

Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. Good oral and written communication skills. Good listening skills. Good record keeping skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to read and understand procedures in English
