  • Plans and oversees work to meet production and quality requirements while making effective use of labor, material, and equipment.

- Receive and sign bill of lading documents of material shipments of raw materials including quartz, chemicals and consumable items utilized in the manufacturing process.

- Coordinate and work with the Raw Materials Supervisor for scheduling of raw material deliveries to the facility.

- Operate forklifts to unload materials and packages from incoming trucks.

- Inspect shipments to verify quantity and ensure contents are undamaged upon receipt.

- Work with Quality Control to ensure materials are in conformance with purchasing specifications.

- Label, transport and store raw materials to their designated storage locations upon receipt.

- Notify Raw Materials Supervisor of any materials received damaged, short or out of specification.

- Deliver consumable items used in production their designated locations on the production line.

- Maintain accurate records and assist in inventory.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

  • Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

  • Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Primary Objective:

Operates powered industrial trucks to receive, stock, pick, and ship product at a Plant Distribution Center location.

May be required to manually pack, check and prepare small packages (SPC) orders for shipping.

Pay Range:

  • Entry: $14.70

  • 3-Month Increase: $15.73

Shift Differentials:

  • D-Shift = 1.00 Dollar

Shift:

  • Wednesday: 6PM-12AM

  • Thursday-Saturday: 6PM-6AM

  • Overnight

Equipment Knowledge:

  • Sit-Down Forklift

All Responsibilities:

Picking

  • Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.

  • Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)

  • Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy

  • Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas

Receiving

  • Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking

  • Opens crates and inspects product

  • Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures

  • Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location

Putaway

  • Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received

  • Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves

  • Ensures product is placed into accurate location

SPC Check/Pack Checking

  • Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping

  • Labels boxes with packing slip

  • Loads boxes into conveyor belt

  • Verifies orders for accuracy

General Requirements

  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor

  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures

  • Keeps area safe, clean, and organized

  • Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • 1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.

  • Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.

  • Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.

  • Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

This is a 2nd Shift Position working Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am. The hourly rate of pay is $19.20 with the opportunity to earn an additional $1 to $2 per hour more incentive rate. This position is located at our Plant on Route 30 in Gettysburg.

The Auto Press Packer inspects and packs unfired tile into setters.

Major Functions and Scope:

  • Inspects tile for quality defects as specified in the control plans.

  • Packs tile into setters and loads full setters onto pallets.

  • Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

  • Follows standard operating and safety procedures.

  • Keeps area safe, clean and organized.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

Education and Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

  • 0 -1 year previous manufacturing/production experience.

Competencies:

  • Good oral and written communications skills.

Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our MFG TEAM! As the Manufacturing Machine Operator, we need someone t o operate production equipment, monitor production parameters and make decisions on when to adjust the process.

Primary Objective

Operates production equipment, monitors production parameters, inspects or tests product for conformance to specifications, records data, and makes decisions on when to adjust the process or contact supervision for guidance.

Major Function and Scope

Operates motor vehicles, other vehicles, equipment, machinery, or power tools as assigned.

Repairs, maintains, and/or monitors the performance and/or operation of equipment, machinery, and /or manufacturing process as assigned to insure proper function and prevent disruption.

Operates production equipment according to standard operating procedures.

May function as a sorter, box assembler, or relief operator for the kiln or automatic sorting equipment.

Conducts tests or inspections as required on the control plan and according to test methods.

Performs additional job tasks as documented in the job task check sheet.

May stop production equipment when a safety, quality, or mechanical problem prevents equipment use or conformance to product requirements.

Follows ISO operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.

Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.

Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.

Performs other related duties as required.

Experience and Knowledge Required

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

1 year Manufacturing experience preferred.
