Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Showroom Sales Manager to join our TEAM! As the Showroom Sales Manager, you will lead the design sales team and manage showroom operations to maximize specifications and sales leads, ensure sales closure, and gain market share.
Primary Objective
Leads the design sales team and manages showroom operations to maximize specifications and sales leads, ensure sales closure, and gain market share.
Major Function and Scope
Develops and executes strategies to drive new business and relationships in the assigned market(s). Prospects for new business with an emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers. Makes outside sales calls as needed and follows up on leads to grow and drive business.
Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and project development/support ensuring the completion of selection/sales for all customers. Where applicable utilizing Auto-CAD Project Management.
Logs all client showroom visits, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes in CMT. Effectively communicates with customers and internal team members to follow lead and ensure tracking/follow up and sales closure. Reports sales closures monthly.
Promotes showroom through all aspects of marketing/media and events concentrating on a diverse customer base to optimize exposure. Plans and hosts events to draw new customers into the Showroom. (Min. 1 large event/2 small events per quarter). Attends industry related events to network and promote the showroom.
Recruits, trains, leads and develops associates in all areas of job specific responsibilities. Provides leadership and direction to employees in the pursuit of Showroom objectives. Clearly defines goals and objectives for Showroom personnel to measure performance and communicate these objectives to the staff on a regular basis. Plans and prepares work schedules, assigns staff to specific duties, supervises, and keeps operating records.
Maintains showroom samples and merchandising including ordering, receiving, and maintaining samples and displays. Ships customer samples as needed to drive sales. Complies with Marketing's standards for proper merchandising of showroom, including new product launches and drops. Researches and monitors industry trend maintains contact with suppliers/locally sourced vendors and determines what 3rd party products should be added to optimize product specifications.
Prepares and coordinates sales promotion activities. Maintains and updates design aid tools that help secure customer sales.
Responsible for the safe operations of the Gallery including proper opening and closing of the store. Responsible for securing expensive assets.
Resolves customer complaints when they arise.
Works in a team environment and collaborates with SSC Managers, Arch Reps, Sales Reps and showroom staff to optimize sales.

Experience and Knowledge Required
Requires Bachelor's degree with 3+ years' experience, 1+ years of management experience preferred
OR, 4 additional years' experience in lieu of degree
(7 years total experience)
Competencies
Excellent oral, written, listening, communication and management skills necessary to effectively interact with team members, management, and other internal and external customers to build positive relationships.
Business acumen and strategic thinking
Advanced design skills. Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize a range of creative and imaginative solutions with ease, using creative skills to document and sell them to client.
Versed on design trends and customer buying habits.
Computer skills - MSOffice, MSWord, Excel and Power point. Knowledge of CMT a plus.

Planner will use Dal Tile's CMMS (SAP) to plan and schedule work from work orders, (including corrective, preventative, condition based, and predictive) and all other work, except breakdowns or emergency work.
Planner works with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, Molding Line Manager, and Polishing Line Manager to ensure all work can be scheduled without a conflict with production running schedules.
Planner will oversee the plant CMMS system for accuracy and correct usage, Planner will act as a trainer for new personnel, and Planner will retrain personnel as needed.
The Planner will work with maintenance personnel and the maintenance coordinator to ensure that work order history (particularly preventative maintenance work) is captured and input into the system.
Planner will maintain a plant backlog of work orders and will maintain a 2-week published schedule from the backlog. Adjusting and rescheduling will be maintained as needed changes arise and production priorities change.

Planner will hold weekly meetings to review previous weeks work and prioritize upcoming work.

Planner will prepare a weekly schedule for the Maintenance Manager and adjust the schedule daily if needed.
Planner will provide the maintenance shift lead a complete job package for all scheduled jobs. Package will contain: All job instructions, BOM, permissions, permits, manpower estimates, contractor labor.
Planner serves as the primary back-up to the Maintenance Manager and another technical expert to support shift maintenance personnel on probable failure causes and repair procedures.
Planner will provide reports from CMMS to management as requested.
Planner will development and implement safe work practices, as well as setting safe condition standards; particularly in the areas of ergonomics and machine guarding.
Planner is responsible for facilitating, auditing, and continuously reviewing the Lock-Tag-Test, JSA and SOP programs.

Planner assists Buyer and purchasing department in the maintenance of spare parts inventory for min/max levels, new vendors and re-order evaluation.
Planner ensures that all safety and environmental standards are achieved. Positions oneself as a leader in safety and improving an organization by providing and creating a clean and safe work environment for all team members.
Planner regularly conducts safety meetings and pre-shift maintenance objective meetings, as well as weekly safety audits and inspections to find any unsafe behaviors, and utilizes engineering or administrative controls to eliminate unsafe conditions.
Planner develops and implements training procedures and plans to train employees on new processes and equipment as well as improving skills.
Planner analyzes problems that arise and determines actions that will minimize the problems, decrease costs and/or improve yields, recommend changes, and upon approval implement those changes.
Planner routinely communicates performance to team members and coaches team members on methods and techniques for improving performance, including reviewing time records.

College or Technical degree in Engineering, Electronics or related field highly preferred. High school diploma and five plus years of maintenance experience may substitute for a degree. Three or more years of technical supervisor experience preferred, but progressive leadership roles will be evaluated as well. Knowledge of electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electronic equipment and systems required.
Three plus (3+) years industrial maintenance experience in Quartz manufacturing required and prior supervisory experience preferred.

Prospects for new business with an emphasis on Custom Builders and Residential Designers. Makes outside sales calls as needed and follows up on leads to grow and drive business. Logs all customer showroom visits/appointments, contact information, and detailed customer preference and selection notes, in CMT.
Maintains showroom samples and merchandising including ordering, receiving, and maintaining samples and displays. Ships customer samples as needed to drive sales. Maintains contact with suppliers/locally sourced vendors, to keep current on design and product offerings and complies with Marketing's standards for proper merchandising of showroom, including new product launches and drops.
Plans and hosts showroom tours and small and large events for industry trade to drive customer sales. Attends outside trade events to develop industry relationships and build brand awareness.
Evening and weekend hours required.
Education and Knowledge:
4-year degree required or 4+ years of experience in industry related field

Primary Objective:
Operates powered industrial trucks to receive, stock, pick, and ship product at a Plant Distribution Center location.
May be required to manually pack, check and prepare small packages (SPC) orders for shipping.

All Responsibilities:
Picking
Operate powered industrial truck(s) to assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets.
Keys order into Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Verifies stock availability and audits orders for accuracy
Conveys picked orders to packing station or shipping areas
Receiving
Operates various powered industrial trucks to receive product into warehouse and prepare for stocking
Opens crates and inspects product
Applies labels to product according to establishing procedures
Verifies shading of product and places into accurate warehouse location
Putaway
Utilizes powered industrial equipment to move product into pre-designated areas within warehouse once received
Keys location of product into inventory control system and places product onto shelves
Ensures product is placed into accurate location
SPC Check/Pack Checking
Wraps and packs products by hand into boxes for shipping
Labels boxes with packing slip
Loads boxes into conveyor belt
Verifies orders for accuracy
General Requirements
Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor
Follows standard operating and safety procedures
Keeps area safe, clean, and organized
Performs other related duties as required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 or more years previous distribution/warehouse experience. Must have a minimum of six months to 1 year of sit-down forklift. Reach truck, and OP experience.
Good oral and written communications skills. Good record keeping skills. Good listening skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak English.
Ability to work in a safe conscientious manner.
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.

Scheduled shift D: THUR: 6PM-6AM, THUR-SAT 6PM-6AM
Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
Inspects tile for quality defects in the manufacturing process.
Performs hourly quality control checks to ensure tile is within specifications.
Follows ISO operating procedures.
Helps to maintain a team environment by cooperating and communicating with team.
Maintains a clean workstation, conforms to all safety requirements, and is at work station at shift change.
Keeps area safe, clean and organized.
Complete all required training, including ergonomic, safety, health and environmental.
Identify and adjust workstation arrangement, work practices, and workflow to reduce risk factors
Report issues to supervisor/manager when unable to control risk factor/s.
Report symptoms of injury/illness and concerns when first noted.
Participate in incident investigation.
Use ergonomic equipment provided
Demonstrate safe work practices.
Performs other related duties as required.
