Team Overview

The Territory Manager is a critical team member that is part of our Central Area Commercial Sales team. This position is remote based and will be responsible for customers within and around the Nebraska market.

Summary

The Territory Manager is responsible for the sale of the complete line of GAF Commercial roofing products. As a Territory Manager, you will act as a liaison between GAF and our clients, focusing on building successful relationships and closing new business.

Essential Duties

  • Focus: Pinpoint market opportunities with contractors, distribution, lumber dealers, Design professional, retail, and co-ops; with the mindset to build lasting and meaningful relationships. Expect to juggle competing priorities and client requests/deadlines on a regular basis.

  • Build: Own, progress and close the sales funnel, turning potential opportunities to closed wins, through value-selling the benefits of GAF products and services. Overcome objections and convert hurdles into growth opportunities.

  • Persist: Display strong negotiating tactics by leveraging value propositions and pricing strategies.

  • Strategize: Compile reporting to highlight hits, misses, learning, competitive landscape and strategic next steps; proactively identifying opportunities to exceed expectations and position our clients as leaders in their space.

  • Consult: Influence the building materials industry; constantly networking to become a trusted advisor to existing and potential customers. Navigate when to defer to a client's request vs. when to guide a client to make better choices. Thrive on expert problem solving, determining solutions that execute favorable results. Engage and educate customers with insight and product knowledge via distributor/contractor meetings. Explain complex subject matters (e.g. pricing) to any audience and tactfully communicate both good & bad news.

  • Stand Out: Make your presence known at customer shows, conventions and other industry related activities.

  • Impact: Be pleasant to work with and keep a positive outlook. Know how to have fun, but know how to balance it with work. Embrace and respect different personalities and work with various groups to accomplish territory sales goals. Utilize social media to gain further insight in the market i.e. industry trends, market practices as well as using it to communicate with customers

  • Win: Display diplomacy and a mastered ability to build immediate rapport with anyone. Close the deal.

Under This Roof, We Require

  • Bachelor's Degree is highly preferred.

  • 5+ years sales experience in the building material industry is preferred.

  • Multi-channel experience selling roofing materials to distributor, contractor, lumber dealer, two step, design professional, commercial property owner , retail & Co-Ops is ideal.

  • Valid driver's license is required.

GAF's Nonwovens organization produces one of the most critical components that allows our Residential Roofing partners to manufacture the highest quality shingles in the industry. Summary

The Nonwovens Process Excellence Manager is responsible for driving multi-plant process excellence across GAF's Nonwovens organization.. This role provides technical process support across the Nonwovens network and product lines to drive OEE and MUV and is responsible for raw material and finished product quality, reliable manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement throughout the network. The Nonwovens Process Excellence Manager will drive standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement to deliver best in class nonwovens quality, reliability, and flexibility. This role will be the intersection between R&D, Procurement, Capital Delivery, and Operations; bringing all aspects together to deliver value for the Customer and the business.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support the process/chemistry innovation efforts and improvements to ensure glass mat meets and exceeds customer FFU's (Fitness for Use).

  • Supply plant and business support on projects and activities that provide additional operating income through the application of variation reduction techniques, process modification, product modification, product design, new raw materials, improved raw material utilization, more cost-effective use of raw materials, and improved line speed.

  • Drive consistency and optimization of finished Mat properties and work alongside roofing customers to achieve them.

  • Develop and lead Communities of Practice (CoP) to establish Best Practices developmentandsharing.Driveadoptionattheplants,celebratesuccesses,andbuild the GBS library for recommended practices.

  • Strengthen the Communities of Practice (CoP) and utilize talent across the network to lead troubleshooting efforts, sharing of knowledge, and communication between plants to improve performance.

  • Drive sustainability efforts across mat plant operations.

  • Lead, guide, and prioritize alternative RM qualifications with the procurement group as well as R&D.

  • Partner with Plant Managers, Technical Managers, and Quality Assurance Team to ensure execution of audits and gap closure plans.

  • Drive consistency and optimization of mat finished goods and work alongside roofing customers to achieve them.

  • Implements continuous improvements to the process and sustains previous improvements using the GAF Business System tools. Specifically, actively participates in 5S, practical problem solving, elimination of waste, and visual management.

  • Drivestandardizationandcapture/documentationofbestpracticeproceduresacross all three Mat plants.

  • Apply standard GAF systems to ensure that project documentation exists to facilitate future application.

  • PartnerwithFinance,ProcurementandOperationsteamstodevelopbusinesscasesto support asphalt and capital deployment strategies.

  • Perform research required to improve and develop processes. Partners with plant personnel to optimize current processes and process knowledge.

  • Establish relationships with external process and equipment experts to identify standard instrumentation and equipment, and recommended maintenance standards for the plant systems.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Technical Services Managers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field required, preferably in Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.

  • 10+ years of demonstrated experience in a continuous web manufacturing environment with at least 5+ years in a leadership role.

  • Domestic travel is required (50%).

Summary

The Nonwovens Process Excellence Manager is responsible for driving multi-plant process excellence across GAF's Nonwovens organization.. This role provides technical process support across the Nonwovens network and product lines to drive OEE and MUV and is responsible for raw material and finished product quality, reliable manufacturing processes, and driving continuous improvement throughout the network. The Nonwovens Process Excellence Manager will drive standardization, innovation, and continuous improvement to deliver best in class nonwovens quality, reliability, and flexibility. This role will be the intersection between R&D, Procurement, Capital Delivery, and Operations; bringing all aspects together to deliver value for the Customer and the business.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead and support the process/chemistry innovation efforts and improvements to ensure glass mat meets and exceeds customer FFU's (Fitness for Use).

  • Supply plant and business support on projects and activities that provide additional operating income through the application of variation reduction techniques, process modification, product modification, product design, new raw materials, improved raw material utilization, more cost-effective use of raw materials, and improved line speed.

  • Drive consistency and optimization of finished Mat properties and work alongside roofing customers to achieve them.

  • Develop and lead Communities of Practice (CoP) to establish Best Practices developmentandsharing.Driveadoptionattheplants,celebratesuccesses,andbuild the GBS library for recommended practices.

  • Strengthen the Communities of Practice (CoP) and utilize talent across the network to lead troubleshooting efforts, sharing of knowledge, and communication between plants to improve performance.

  • Drive sustainability efforts across mat plant operations.

  • Lead, guide, and prioritize alternative RM qualifications with the procurement group as well as R&D.

  • Partner with Plant Managers, Technical Managers, and Quality Assurance Team to ensure execution of audits and gap closure plans.

  • Drive consistency and optimization of mat finished goods and work alongside roofing customers to achieve them.

  • Implements continuous improvements to the process and sustains previous improvements using the GAF Business System tools. Specifically, actively participates in 5S, practical problem solving, elimination of waste, and visual management.

  • Drivestandardizationandcapture/documentationofbestpracticeproceduresacross all three Mat plants.

  • Apply standard GAF systems to ensure that project documentation exists to facilitate future application.

  • PartnerwithFinance,ProcurementandOperationsteamstodevelopbusinesscasesto support asphalt and capital deployment strategies.

  • Perform research required to improve and develop processes. Partners with plant personnel to optimize current processes and process knowledge.

  • Establish relationships with external process and equipment experts to identify standard instrumentation and equipment, and recommended maintenance standards for the plant systems.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to Technical Services Managers.

Team or Function Overview

The Field Services team supports and partners with internal and external stakeholders to provide best in class installation and services of our commercial and residential roofing products. This team supports the entire GAF product line for commercial and residential with additional support for Siplast, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed. This position will support an area from Western Arkansas, Eastern Tennessee, Mississippi and Northeastern Louisiana. The selected candidate will reside in the territory and report to the Area Director Field Services or Regional Manager Field Services as applicable.

Summary

The Field Services Representative performs the day to day services within their assigned area/region. Responsibilities in this position include performing and completing roof inspections, performing specialized tasks to resolve problems, and providing weekly activity reports within the region. He/she is responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and performing warranty, guarantee and complaint inspections within the area of assigned responsibility without direct supervision. The Field Service Representative will obtain a drone certification within the first 6 months.

  • Completes roof Inspections including leak and complaint inspections

  • Travels to neighboring areas to complete roof inspections

Team or Function Overview The Multi-Craft Technician will interact extensively with the Plant Engineer and Production Manager and Maintenance teams to enhance the day-to-day operations of the plant. Multicraft Technicians support the RAS (Recycle Asphalt Shingle) operation and provides all day-to-day maintenance support for the plant.

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Multicraft maintenance duties with a strong skill set in electrical.

Familiar with all test equipment and common devices both mechanical and electrical.

Ensure both preventative and reactive repairs and maintenance tasks are completed in a timely manner to ensure continuous operation of RAS line

Enter and update maintenance records in Maximo to accurately record hours worked, job completed and maintain correct spare part inventory

Communicate with other production operators and leaders in a positive manner

Complete and follow all required permits for the type of work being performed

Must be willing to continue training and stay current on GAF's HMI, PLC and troubleshooting requirements

Assist in setting the daily priorities and direction for the group.

This individual will interact extensively to enhance the day-to-day operations of the plant.

Tests and puts into service all electrical equipment that has been repaired, moved or recently installed; wires and maintains all buildings and structures including lighting fixtures; and troubleshoots all primary III phase (up to 480v) and secondary electrical systems and control circuits.

Participates in diagnosis of actual or potential problems and in the necessary repairs.

Participates in test runs of new and repaired machinery, lubricates and performs preventative maintenance on all equipment and performs piping work such as fitting and bending.

TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

Interprets all electrical schematics and prints, and recommends updates to prints to reflect any modifications to equipment and maintains, installs or repairs all communication cables or wiring.

Have operating knowledge in the plant to include water, oil, compressed air, and fire protection systems.

Pneumatics and Hydraulics

Team or Function Overview

The Field Services team supports and partners with internal and external stakeholders to provide best in class installation and services of our commercial and residential roofing products. This team supports the entire GAF product line for commercial and residential with additional support for Siplast, GAF Energy and other Standard Industries businesses as needed. This position will support an area from Western Arkansas, Eastern Tennessee, Mississippi and Northeastern Louisiana. Summary

The Field Services Representative performs the day to day services within their assigned area/region. Responsibilities in this position include performing and completing roof inspections, performing specialized tasks to resolve problems, and providing weekly activity reports within the region. He/she is responsible for prioritizing, scheduling and performing warranty, guarantee and complaint inspections within the area of assigned responsibility without direct supervision. The Field Service Representative will obtain a drone certification within the first 6 months.

Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for all phases of industrial maintenance duties. The Maintenance Mechanic II will oversee the performance and maintenance of large production machinery. Perform preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricate moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Other expectations include the ability to perform all the other duties and tasks of the other employees within the department when required or needed.
