Co-Opportunity is a chance for you to learn about your chosen field in a real work environment with experienced GAF professionals. We offer full-time assignments to those students who are working toward undergraduate or graduate degrees in chemical, electrical and mechanical engineering. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Performing raw material quality assurance activities and material performance.
Conducting problem solving investigations and troubleshooting to assure root cause is identified, counter measures and recurrence prevention are fully implemented.
Supporting quality improvement initiatives directly or indirectly with suppliers.
Providing technical support and analytical analysis for material issues.
Involvement with data flow diagrams/technical diagrams.
At GAF, We Require:
Spring term candidates must be able to work full-time for a minimum of 6-months (January - June 2025). Summer term candidates must be able to work full-time for 3 months (June - Aug 2025). We also offer combined Spring/Summer terms (January - Aug 2025).
Candidates must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
All candidates must have a minimum 2.8 GPA, with at least a sophomore standing.
Problem solving, project management and communication skills are all necessary as is the ability to operate in a team environment. In addition, candidates must have the ability to generate accurate and concise technical reports.
Candidates should also have computer skills in Google as well as basic knowledge of MS Visio and Auto CAD.
Each rotation typically culminates with a formal report-out presentation to a group of GAF leaders from multiple functional areas.

Team or Function Overview
The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for supporting our sales and marketing efforts at large national retail locations.
Summary
GAF is seeking a high-energy sales professional with a track record of building successful relationships and closing new business. This role facilitates the sale and flow of GAF products through big box home improvement retail accounts working closely with contractors to educate/promote GAF products that help them build their business. As a Retail Sales Rep, you will act as a consultant between GAF, the stores, and contractors.
Essential Duties Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Train individuals or small groups with emphasis on general product knowledge, application techniques, and best practices.
Provide feedback on market conditions, monitor, inventory levels, and provide training to retail associates
DevelopandmaintaincloseworkingrelationshipswiththeRetailSalesService Manager, Pro Retail Specialist, GAF Territory Sales Managers, Big Box home improvement retail management teams, inside and outside pro associates, merchandising teams, and store associates.
Build and manage a book of contractors from prospecting and cold calling through to the consultation phase, building lasting and meaningful relationships. Expect to juggle competing priorities and store requests/deadlines regularly.
Own, progress, and close the sales funnel, turning potential Contractor opportunities into wins, through value-selling the benefits of GAF products. Overcome objections and convert hurdles into growth opportunities, while selling the GAF value proposition.
Work with Retail Outside selling teams to establish trust and support as the expert in roofing when working with them or their customers on large projects
Display strong negotiating tactics by leveraging value propositions and GAF System
Selling
Compile reporting to highlight hits, misses, learning, competitive landscape, and strategic next steps; proactively identify opportunities to exceed expectations and position our clients as leaders in their space.
Influence your contractors constantly networking to become a trusted advisor to existing and potential customers. The Shipper / Receiver provides effective communication, and coordinates back-up and support for all logistics functions related to daily shipments. The Shipper / Receiver will be able to effectively step in and perform any of the individual jobs in the department, in the absence of other team members.
Essential Duties
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Organizing, Prioritizing and Communication, Ownership skills are critical. Ability to adapt to a daily schedule.
Must be able to lead and delegate tasks by having positive working relationships. Being aware of co-worker's current workload, shifting duties to the right person at the appropriate time and adjusting throughout the day as needed to meet timelines.
On deliveries, he/she will assist to collect BOLs, packing slips and/or invoices for every shipment received. Shipper/Receiver will verify quantities, and continue to teach other crew members to count and verify receivables as well. Correct data will be entered into PeopleSoft, Maximo and/or other applicable systems.
Assists in coordinating all outbound trucks, orders, load types and correct doors based on order number and load type.
Ensure truck drivers understand correct tarping, strapping, edge protectors and all loading procedures.
Throughout the day, will keep CarrierPoint updated, tracking inbounds and outbounds, including tracking pallets shipped and received.
Facilitate communication with customer service daily on orders and problem solving.
Follow and document Hazardous Materials Transportation Guidelines for all shipments.
Be available to train new warehouse employees; continue to share knowledge as needed.
Assist with cycle counts and inventory management
Ensure that all departmental expectations are met or exceeded Unload/load trucks when needed; other duties as assigned

Team Overview
The Metal Roofing CARE Trainer will play an important role in developing content and instructing metal roofing installation. This trainer will specialize in the GAF Product Timbersteel. This CARE Trainer will be a part of a team of instructors who teach to every level of the industry from single-roofer start-ups, multi-crew small businesses, and multi-state enterprises. CARE training can consist of installation, business, sales or overall general efficacies in roofing. Our team of trainers is a group of individuals with unique backgrounds and skill sets. Summary
A CARE trainer is responsible for running training events on primarily a regional and occasionally a nationwide basis. Seminars include sales and technical training for contractors and installers of GAF roofing Systems. Modules include classroom sales and webinar courses for contractors, distributors, Architects and internal GAF employees.

The goal of the Residential Contractor and Consumer Services Department is to provide best in class customer service to both contractor and consumer customers. The Residential Warranty Data Enablement Manager position is a critical member of our Residential Warranty Claims team.
Summary
Reporting to the Senior Director of Residential Contractor & Consumer Services, the Warranty Data Enablement Manager will work closely with department leadership and cross functional Residential business partners to design and deploy new systems, with a focus on Tavant Warranty on Demand, to support and streamline the day to day operations of the department in order to maximize efficiency.
The Warranty Data Enablement Manager will also be responsible to lead change management efforts and to develop training content to assist other team members and system users to adapt ways of working. The Warranty Data Enablement Manager will liaise with IT on new warranty software development projects and will lead the team to develop best practices in connection with both reporting and KPI measurement associated with newly implemented systems. This role requires a strategic mindset and strong leadership skills.
Essential Duties Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with Residential Contractor and Consumer Services Department leadership to gather business requirements, cultivate use cases, and complete business process review and improvement, detailed impact and gap analysis and translate into business solution design of Tavant.
Work with the business to analyze current and to-be business processes and Tavant system challenges and turn them into actionable system changes. Interacts directly with business users and conveys technical concepts/solutions in an easy to understand way.
Serves as a mentor/developmental advisor and training resource to less experienced
staff, providing an example with regard to quality of work.
Partner closely with department management to set Residential warranty priorities and meet operational objectives.
Analyze service levels and key performance indicators and make recommendations about how to improve department performance.
Provide guidance and recommendations to the department in connection with any complex Tavant system-related operational issues.
Lead extra Residential warranty and/or contractor projects as assigned.
Become the subject matter expert of the primary systems used by the Residential Contractor and Consumer Services Department, including Tavant, and serve as liaison between department and IT team on both new development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Lead the strategic execution of Quality and Process Improvement projects using advanced process improvement tools such as Braincube, Minitab, MVT/DOE, Kepner Tregoe.
Prioritize and execute capital improvements using the hierarchy of values: Safety, Quality, Service, Cost.
Lead and manage plant trials in coordination with R&D and plant personnel, ensuring trials are conducted with precision and reported accurately.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers and staff on process improve
ment methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
30%: Lead an OEE Improvement Team. Utilize PDCA and 4DX methodologies to exceed project objectives. Provide advanced process troubleshooting assistance on the production line as needed. Focused on the optimization of machines, materials, methods, and personnel to improve line efficiency.
20%: Lead process trials, raw material qualification, product/process qualification, and capability studies. Perform PPA/FMEA on major process and raw material changes. Provide expert-level oversight of optimal raw material usage.
20%: Lead the advanced application and interpretation of SPC control charting, utilizing data analysis to drive substantial cost savings and efficiency improvements.
10%: Mentor new process engineers, co-ops. Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement.
10%: Champion GAF Business System (GBS) Initiatives: 5S, GEMBA Walks, Standard Work, etc.
5%: Assist in the development and refinement of process specifications and manage plant change notices (PCN's). Conduct internal compliance audits of product testing.
5%: Perform other assigned duties.
