Overview

To provide members and prospective members the full range of products and services offered by Navy Federal Credit Union including depository accounts such as checking, savings, certificate IRA, revocable trust and estate accounts; Lending products; and credit/debit cards. To perform moderately complex platform banking functions under supervision. Provide assistance/training to lower level team members.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, research and resolve problems and discrepancies related to member accounts/loans

  • Assist members with submitting consumer/mortgage/equity loan, overdraft protection and credit card applications

  • Counsel current and prospective members about Navy Federal's products and services

  • Ensure cash and other negotiable instruments are handled properly

  • Identify opportunities to cross service products and increase product penetration

  • Perform platform banking functions

  • Assist level I team members

  • Understand and comply with federal and other regulations relating to financial products and services

Qualifications

Overview

To design and develop complex multimedia elements (graphics; animations; audio; video and print) and apply agile techniques to develop Interactive Multimedia Instruction; Web-based training, video-based learning solutions, and software simulations to support employee learning and development initiatives and business unit objectives across the organization. To create courseware to meet business unit training needs and enhance the employee learning experience. To provide multimedia services to help deliver key communications and enable greater productivity. Works under limited supervision. Uses moderate discretion to modify work practices/processes. Adapt and learn new learning technologies and delivery approaches. Collaborate with a team of experienced developers and instructional designers to implement innovative and creative learning multimedia solutions. Conduct digital video production such as planning, taping, editing, sound mixing, design, compression, and output. Responsible for the production of complex, interactive multimedia presentations and web-based training, created to present and clarify complex subject matter to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Create Flash/XML-based reinforcement/promotional games and animations

  • Create dynamic instructional and training materials using current technologies including references and support tools that reinforce training, increase efficiency and help produce error-free work

  • Create original designs for product demonstrations, quick reference guides, fact sheets, executive presentations, brochures/catalogs/flyers, web designs, videos, and logos/icons

  • Design the graphical user interface; create and/or enhance images and video and audio formats; convert analog movies to digital format

  • Develop and create print design and support materials including agenda booklets, banners and signage (branding), name tags, name tents, network maps, eGram announcements, etc.

  • Lead and coordinate the planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resourcing of projects to scope, identify risk exposure and remediation of non-compliance to standards

To coordinate the repossession process and disposition of property (e.g., cars, boats, motorcycles, airplanes, etc.) that serves as collateral on Navy Federal loans. Serve as point of contact and subject matter expert regarding section functions, systems, policies and/or procedures. Work is performed under moderate supervision.

  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of the repossession process

  • Remain familiar with payment methods available to members (e.g., direct remittance, recurring deposits, Western Union Quick Collect, Speed Pay, etc.)

  • Communicate to members, co-makers, and/or joint owner on all aspects of the repossession process

  • Prepare all documents required to initiate the repossession process

  • Contact insurance companies for payoffs; send Letters of Guarantee, monitor for payments and send titles to insurance companies

  • Serve as point of contact for internal departments regarding repossessions

  • Select repossession agents and negotiate fees for repossession

  • Document all member related contact in the Repossession Tracker and in other applicable systems throughout the repossession process

  • Process impound notices by contacting tow companies; negotiate fees, obtain vehicle condition, reason for impoundment and documents needed to recover the collateral

  • Monitor and ensure updates are provided by repossession agents; assist agents with skip tracing to locate collateral as needed

  • Recommend accounts to skip companies and/or License Plate Recognition staging if unable to locate

  • Recommend accounts to be returned to LCR, or Bankruptcy if unable to locate

  • Submit requests for required letters for redemption/reinstatement; ensure letters are accurate and mail them in accordance with State regulations to members

  • Assist members with reinstatement or redemption of their vehicle; contact the agent or auction to have the vehicle released to the member

  • Prepare documents to submit to the Department of Motor Vehicles to process a repossession title or to sell the collateral

  • Maintain an overall quality assurance audit rating of 90%

  • Determine floor price and send required documents to auction; release vehicles for sale in Auto IMS

  • Receive auction bids received thru various communication channels (e.g., email, telephone, fax, Auto IMS, etc.); determine if auction offer can be accepted and that the number of bids aligns with State requirements; determine if counting the bid will be required, or decline the offer and request that the vehicle be run on the next sale date

  • Review and process sale proceeds with accounting department to ensure funds are applied properly to the member's account

  • Submit requests to reduce interest rates to "0" on open book loans with a deficiency balance

  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with applicable federal and state laws, rules, regulations and Navy Federal policies and procedures

  • Maintain records of repossessions and prepare reports for management

  • Track and reconcile expenses with general accounting incurred during the repossession process

To plan, manage, and execute all aspects of life-cycle projects from inception through implementation. To develop project plans and deliver solutions on schedule and within budget in support of service innovations and organizational and process changes/enhancements.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures effective management of projects from inception through implementation

  • Defines, develops and executes project plans, including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedules

  • Works with the business group to determine and understand business requirements

  • Manages projects from concept through the planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases

  • Develops clear and concise "big picture" of projects within Navy Federal organizational goals

  • Directs and leads Project Teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training

  • Manages project budgets including risk and impact of changes to project plans

  • Identifies and minimizes project risks or constraints that would impact project deliverables

  • Identifies, communicates, and resolves branch/division/department areas of concern, or cross-organizational that may impede or impact other projects/initiatives

  • Maintains/archives project documentation

  • Ensures project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations

  • Sets, manages, and communicates client expectations for the project

  • Oversees project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are in compliance with previously agreed requirements and standards

Overview

The Manager, Enterprise Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) will work within Navy Federal's Enterprise Operational Risk Management (EORM) Division to perform second line of defense risk management activities. Responsible for assisting with the development and enhancement of the TPRM program methodology, framework, metrics and reporting and other risk-taking activities. To evaluate whether first line risk taking activities are within Navy Federal's risk appetite and tolerance, in line with regulatory expectations and industry best practice. To serve as a Third-Party Risk Management subject matter expert reporting to a Director within Enterprise Third Party Risk Management and support leadership decisions related to program development and strategy, and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • -Establish and support the program development and ongoing maturation of the TPRM Program through the development and management of the methodology and framework

  • Collaborate with Procurement Vendor Management (PVM) in the development, delivery, and continuing improvement of the enterprise program, policies, templates and change management initiatives as related to TPRM

  • Assess regulatory requirements for overall applicability and adherence

  • Provide recommendations to leadership for system design and/or enhancements to create business process efficiencies

  • Develop and deliver TPRM documentation, program metrics and associated reporting requirements to governance groups and program stakeholders

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, assessment partners and business unit leaders/Point Of Contacts (POCs)

  • Oversee and direct third party risk review activities; develop, monitor, and analyze risk metrics to provide feedback and guidance and create efficiencies

  • Analyze risk data and reporting, identifying emerging risks and develop actionable recommendations to increase performance and mitigate risk; collaborate with staff and business partners to communicate and implement performance and risk strategies

  • Provide guidance and support to both first Line of Defence (1LOD) and second Line of Defense (2LOD) risk analysts as a subject matter expert by assisting with developing organizational risk capabilities and increasing value and efficiency through effective risk management

  • Perform team lead/supervisory responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with leadership to develop/executive department strategy

  • Mentor and advise second line of defense risk analysts

  • Contribute to Annual Financial Plan (AFP) Process

  • Ensure efficiency of operations

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of Third-Party Risk Management in a large financial institutional setting

  • Working knowledge of third-party risk management regulatory guidance (OCC, CFPB, FFIEC etc.), NFCU policies and industry best practice, especially areas of due diligence.

  • Working knowledge of third-party risk management operational and regulatory risks and controls related to onboarding and due diligence, including knowledge of risk management techniques from prevention, identification, assessment, and mitigation perspectives

Responsibilities

  • Contribute toward the planning and execution of integrated operational audits in accordance with Navy Federal and industry audit standards
