Job Summary: Grade: NA02, Salary Code N/A.: Performs a full range of cleaning tasks involved in the maintenance of a designated area utilizing heavy industrial type equipment. Duties and Responsibilities: Receives specific oral or written instructions and assignments from supervisor or crew leader. Work is reviewed frequently for cleanliness and performance. Maintains a specific area orderly and clean. Sets up own schedule and sequence which states the required frequency of each task. Scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy industrial type vacuum cleaner. Adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines and changes brushes, rollers, buffers, and other attachments. Sweeps floor, hallways, empties garbage, dusts office furniture, and empties ash trays, shampoos rugs, cleans air vents, disinfects and deodorizes toilet bowls, lavatories etc. Washes and replaces venetian blinds and washes ceiling fixtures, changes light bulbs, and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds. Cleans and maintains machines, equipment and makes adjustments accordingly. Reports all equipment malfunctions to supervisor and performs minor repairs to equipment. Removes stains from a variety of surfaces such as rugs, drapes, walls, floors, and fixtures by use of chemicals and cleaning solutions. Moves heavy furniture, supplies, and equipment. Cleans windows and doors inside and out at ground levels. May operate a motor vehicle in the performance of the above duties on a limited basis. Performs other related duties as assigned. Duties and Responsibilities: Receives and checks incoming freight, merchandise, supplies and/or equipment from vendors NEX Distribution Center. Unloads, loads vehicles, checks incoming shipments for spoilage or damage. Receives invoice from vendor on merchandise ordered, checks against report of goods received (RGR) to ensure items and quantity ordered are received. Opens, inspects, counts, marks, and prices merchandise. Reports shortages, overages, spoilage and/or damaged items to supervisor. Estimates and/or monitors purchase of perishable and nonperishable merchandise, and advises vendors of adjustments in daily or weekly orders. Receives deliveries from other NEX locations that may require pickup and/or movement of merchandise. Warehouse palletized or bulk stock according to specified locations. Checks bins for mixed stock or incorrect storage, notifies supervisor of serious discrepancies. May prepare temporary or permanent storage locations for new merchandise, places stock and arranges on shelves. Responsible for pulling product, staging and loading onto vending trucks, Micro Market routes to minimize driver downtime. Conducts monthly inventory of merchandise supplies. Determines discrepancies on shortages or damaged items and advises supervisor.. Assist with the loading of merchandise onto vending trucks. Assist with transportation and placement of vending machines. Responsible for delivery of merchandise to commands, Mini Marts, and Micro Markets locations to include ARO deliveries. Ensures security of spaces and ensures that no merchandise moves from receiving area without proper completion and verification of receiving documents. Maintains responsible areas in a neat and orderly manner, observes and assures observance of all safety/sanitary regulations and practices. May operate materials handling equipment in carrying out assigned duties. Assist with Micro Market vending routes during demanding business needs. May be required to have a valid driver's license and operate a vending truck within Government installations and over public roads. Performs other related duties as assigned. PHYSICAL EFFORT Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Is required to lift up to 100 lbs. with assistance and carry short distances, heavier material will be transported by forklift equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed indoors and outdoors. The area may be cold, drafty, damp or hot. Duties and Responsibilities: Serves as senior Photo Mini Lab Technician. Performs the following: Receives film, processing order envelopes containing film cartridge, negatives etc. for processing orders may vary by size of film, number of prints, size of prints etc. Forwards special processing requests, slides black and white oversized enlargements etc. to outside contractor. Processes negatives and prints pictures using photo mini lab processing and printing machines. Adjusts film processing equipment when printing to ensure proper tint, color, clarity etc. Monitors equipment during processing to prevent complications and or malfunctioning of equipment. Calibrates printing machine on a daily basis using manufacturer supplied test strips and following established procedures and instructions. Mixes chemicals used in the film processing process following manufacturers instructions. Ensures chemical reservors are properly filled. Oversees the recovery and disposal of photofinishing waste-by-products i.e. chemical solutions waste silver etc. Ensures chemical recovery equipment is in proper working order. Follows to established industry procedures base hazardous material handling requirements and applicable Environmental Protection Agency EPA requirements. Maintains required records. Answers technical customer questions involving film processing techniques used capability of mini lab etc. Performs minor maintenance and repairs on film processing and printing equipment such as cleaning filters replacing gears lubricating parts etc. following established preventative maintenance schedule. Maintains liaison with contract service representative mini lab equipment manufacturer representaives etc. concerning proper operation and servicing of mini lab equipment. Maintains mini lab productivity records. Conducts regular inventory of supplies and chemicals. Orders Photo Mini Lab supplies as needed. May provide guidance and direction and be assisted by lower graded Photo Lab Technicians. Maintains working area in a neat and orderly manner. Performs customer service duties and may be responsible for cash handling and operation of a cash register. Performs other related duties as required. SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE Must have knowledge of photographic principles procedures and methods to accomplish the processing and printing of various types of films. Must apply skill and knowledge in the operation of film processing and printing equipment. Sales - Cross-selling products and knowing layout of the store. - Make suggestions to customer on latest trends and current promotions based on customer s individual needs. - Upselling products - Learning product features keeping up with the latest trends leveraging company tools and technology to confidently provide the customer with product knowledge specs. - Using a Point-of-Sales system processing cash exchanges discounts gift cards credit cards debit cards cash handling including counting money and returning accurate amounts to customer. - Completing various forms of paperwork reports and reconciliation. Inventory - Be the keeper of merchandise complete all inventory processes and make sure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed. May participate in periodic inventories. - Providing guidance on how merchandise should be displayed. Dependability - Adherence to assigned work schedule. Accurate and complete follow through on work assignments. Supervisory Requirements - Provide direction work assignments training of sales associates -Other Duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS - Product Knowledge - Moderate level of knowledge of products merchandise - Provide training documentation to sales associates on product features Experience - 6 months-Retail or relevant work experience required Communication Skills - Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to read write and interpret instructional documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with customers peers and management. Ability to communicate on the telephone with proper etiquette. Mathematical Skills - Basic math functions such as addition subtraction multiplication and division. Reasoning Ability - Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business. Ability to work as part of a team and take initiative independent of direct supervision. PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORK ENVIRONMENT This position involves constant moving talking hearing reaching grabbing and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping kneeling crouching and climbing ladders. Vision abilities include close vision color vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Involves lifting at least 25 lbs. and up to 50lbs in some departments. Work typically performed indoors but may be assigned outdoors depending upon location. OTHER SKILLS Enthusiastic friendly and energetic with a desire to provide outstanding service. WORK HOURS Available to work a variety of hours which may include early mornings evenings weekends and holidays Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE 6 months responsible experience in clerical office or retail sales store work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled. SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE Graduation from a full 4 year or senior high school or possession of a General Education Development High School Equivalency Certificate GED may be substituted for the experience requirements.
