The On-Call/Substitute MFLC Counselor, will provide coverage in short-term, surge and on demand situations resulting from the Military needs such as a post-deployment event or to cover an existing assignment for counselors who are absent. The Summer On-Call counselor position covers assignments during the May 15th through September 15th time period, coinciding with the school summer break. With minimal guidance and oversight, provides the full breadth of Adult or Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. These services may include non- medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child daycare centers and schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting military personnel and their family members. On call CYB counselors may be assigned to DoDEA schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for on call role in backing up a school position. CYB counselors may also be assigned to youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. On call adult counselors may be assigned to support MFLC services in a variety of military community and readiness centers, as well as on-demand and surge assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides non-medical, short term, solution focused, counseling directly to adults, children, and youth of service members. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of CDCs, DoDEA and community schools, youth programs and summer camps as well as providing parent training and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities.
Enters counselor activity data daily through smart phone or web application assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service / family member.

Master's Degree from an accredited graduate program in a mental health related field, or social work.A minimum one year of post licensure counseling experience.With short notice, willing to accept assignments of undefined periods to include weekends.Can cover, on a full-time basis, assignments of varying length from a weekend to two weeks.Quickly builds rapport with service personnel clients, family members, students, parents and co-workers. Adaptable to new working conditions, varying location rules, etc.; adjusts working style to align with each work environment.Able to work effectively with minimal instruction and guidance. Listens carefully to instructions provided. With minimal notice, participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned.Requires ability to quickly engage and communicate with military members, spouses or children as assigned, in order to accomplish job functions, and to respond quickly to emergent situations in any physical location on a military installation and/or within a school setting, which includes the need to traverse short and/or long distances within the base to both indoor and outdoor locations, to maneuver through rugged, outdoor or uneven locations (e.g., steep inclines, stairs, grass), and work in outdoor weather and other military base conditions. Due to the nature of working on military installations or related worksites, counselors may need to comply with various site-specific requirements to work at designated locations. For example, for some assignments, counselors will need to have certain current immunizations or vaccinations and provide record of receipt.Ability to prove US Citizenship and must be fluent in English.Advanced knowledge of brief therapy and solution-focused counseling methods.Prior military service/military family member and/or strong familiarity with military culture desired.For CYB positions must meet the Magellan MFLC CYB criteria for experience with children and youth and specialty in child and adolescent development/psychology.Creates a presence on the installation in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the counselor and recognize the program to be confidential; for CYB counselors -- creates a presence in child and youth settings, is available to children, youth, and staff. When working with children, counselor must abide by line of site protocol.Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources and provides appropriate linkages.Partners with POC to provide Adult and CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an excellent working relationship with the installation/facility POC.Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to DoD protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participate in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which they are assigned for substitute or on call services.Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the OSD program manager.

Currently we are recruiting for Adult Military therapist, Child Youth Behavioral Counselor to work in the Child Development Centers and school counselors. Both Full and Part time opportunities may be available. Provides professional military personnel support services to the U.S. Navy's Identification Card Administration (ICA) program at Navy installations designated as Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) and Real-time Automated Personnel Identification System (RAPIDS) sites.
Serves as ID Card/Common Access Card (CAC) customer service specialist trained and certified by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC).

Provides Air Force (AF) personnel, their family members, or intimate partners who are victims of domestic abuse nonclinical emergent and urgent service through safety assessments and safety planning services. The Domestic Abuse Victim Advocate (DAVAs) promotes a coordinated community response to allegations of domestic abuse via providing a range of support and education services to victims during duty hours, as well as on-call emergency services after duty hours. This position provides comprehensive services 24 hours a day/7 days per week to assist and advocate for victims of domestic abuse and to ensure victims are connected with the appropriate resources to ensure their safety. The DAVA does not provide clinical treatment services.
Responds to calls IAW established protocols, maintains a record of calls, and provides the Family Advocacy Officer or designee a situational report the following duty day.
Partners with the Family Advocacy case manager, or mental health on-call provider if the treatment/case manager is unavailable, to establish current and effective safety plans. The victim's safety is the DAVA's top responsibility and priority. The DAVA shall review the Victim's Safety Plan during each victim contact. Establishes a Victim's Safety Plan on a case-by-case basis.
Develops safety plans based on initial and ongoing risk assessments. If imminent risk of serious harm or death is established, notify the FAO, law enforcement, and Command.
Includes children, if involved, in the process and evaluates physical safety and emotional well-being; refer involved children to the treatment/case manager for follow-on care.
Immediately reports any changes in the victim's circumstances that changes or impacts the safety plan to the FAP treatment/case manager or mental health on-call provider if the treatment/case manager is unavailable.
Determines victim's imminent risk of serious harm or death, risk factors will be assessed per the detailed job description.
Provides safety assessments and safety planning for comprehensive services to include emotional support, arrangement of transportation; accompany victims to medical, legal and/or law enforcement appointments, assist in securing protective orders, emergency food and/or shelter and information benefits.
Works directly with victims to ensure that expressed needs are advocated and presented to personnel at intervening agencies.
Assesses imminent risks for health and/ or safety of the victim and make referrals as appropriate.
Assists victims with navigating the system to obtain the services desired and refer victims to the appropriate services for continued care.
Ensures victims of domestic abuse receive sensitive, confidential with the exception of state, federal, and military reporting requirements and immediate comprehensive care and treatment needed to restore health and well-being.

Provides information on victim services and resources available on and/or off the installation.
Explains reporting options during the initial contact whenever possible to ensure that the victim makes informed decisions about whom to disclose information regarding the abuse.

Partners with the FAP treatment/case manager to support the victim and promote safety for the victim and children in the home. Briefs the treatment/case manager prior to the Clinical Case Staffing (CCS) so that the CCS team has the most current information on the victim and children for staffing.

In this position you will work in a School on base or surrounding the base as a Military School Counselor. You must hold a VA independent license such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Counselor Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) and be local to the installation. Relocation assistance may be available.
This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations and off military installations. These services may include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel, schools, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB School counselors will be assigned to Department of Defense (DoDEA) schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for school position. Magellan Federal Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program now has the opportunity to work a 20 hour work week as an Adult, Child Youth or School MFLC counselor.
Must hold a KY or TN independent license such as LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LPSYP
Primary responsibility to provide the full breadth of MFLC (Military Family Life Counseling) counseling services to military service members and their families at military installations. Services include non- medical, short-term, walk-around counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, provision of health fairs, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues. Works closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.

This position provides support to Adult, child youth behavioral and school roles both full and part time. Must hold a Virginia independent license such as LPC, LCSW or LMFT.

Plays a key role in various multi-functional projects critical to the company in achieving its clinical and operational goals and objectives. In this position you will work either in the Child Development Centers as a Military Child Therapist. You must hold a VA independent license such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Licensed Counselor Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT) and be local to the installation. Relocation assistance may be available.
Provides the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) Military Family Life Counseling (MFLC) services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations to include civilian expeditionary work force and their families (when activated). These services may include non-medical counseling, training/health and wellness presentations, consultation with parents, personnel at child development centers, and consultation to installation command regarding behavioral health issues affecting children and youth. CYB counselors will be assigned to child development centers, youth programs, summer camps, and on demand assignments. The counselors work closely with the installation and military branch Points of Contact (POC) to assure that the program is provided within scope and meets the needs of the installation.
Provides non-medical, short-term, solution focused counseling directly to children and youth of service members. Services include assessment, brief counseling and consultation, action planning, referral to resources (assuring linkage as appropriate), and follow-up as indicated.
CYB counselors will also have a focus on supporting the staff and personnel of Child Development Centers (CDC), youth programs and summer camps as well as providing parent support, training and guidance.
Provides training and health and wellness presentations, participate in health fairs and other base/installation activities focused on children and youth.
Enters counselor activity data on a daily basis through smart phone or web application to assure that reporting is accurate from assigned installation while maintaining confidentiality and anonymity of service/family member.
Creates a presence on the installation in which the service and family members feel comfortable approaching the counselor and recognize the program to be confidential. Creates a presence in child and youth settings. Is available to children, youth, and staff. When working with children, counselor must abide by line of sight protocol. (Another adult with responsibility for the child must be able to see the counselor and child they are working with at all times.)
Establishes and maintains working relationships with community resources focused on children and youth and provides appropriate linkages.
Partners with POC to provide CYB services in a manner that addresses the needs of the installation/facility. Develops an effective and professional working relationship with the installation/facility POC.
Manages duty to warn and restricted reporting situations according to Department of Defense (DoD) protocol and staffs the cases with Regional Supervisor/Regional Director.
Communicates with Regional Supervisors and participates in regular individual and group supervision, sharing information regarding trends and issues on the installations and in facilities to which the counselor is assigned.
Responds to critical incidents and special requests as directed by the POC and approved by the Office of Secretary of Defense (OSD) program manager. The CYB will flex schedule to respond to urgent requests as needed.
Participates in regular in-services/training, Quality Improvement committees or other contract activities as assigned/appropriate.

Home Visitors provide support to all eligible families with expectant parents and parents of children from birth to 3 years of age. This program seeks to support young military families which directly contribute to the military's mission readiness, support family members' adaptation to military life, enhance the knowledge and skills for healthy relationships that can provide safe, nurturing environments for children to prevent family violence. Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW) and Registered Nurses (RN) provide activities and services including information and referrals, parenting programs, respite care for children, and supervised play time for children. Families with children prenatal to 3 years old who have been assessed as being at risk for child maltreatment and/or Family violence can benefit from additional, more-intensive support from Home Visitors. Regional Leads are assigned to three locations in the continental United States and provide part of the management structure that facilitates effective supervision and provides additional support to Home Visitors dealing with critical incidents.Regional Leads are also Home Visitors who are supportive and caring LCSWs and RNs who have extensive experience working with Families and young children and are sensitive to the unique challenges faced by military Families. Home Visitors provide comprehensive services to support high-quality parenting in Families with expecting parents and children from birth to age three. They play a critical role in safeguarding early childhood experiences and fostering family resilience. The program provides regular opportunities to receive information and support including parenting classes and seminars, infant first-aid classes, play-groups and assistance with referrals to community services. Intensive home visitation services are also provided for Families that show risk factors for potential maltreatment.
