The Novice Nurse Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse is responsible for providing and documenting skilled nursing care in accordance with care developed for each individual patient in accordance with physician's orders when applicable.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or contracted services

• Evaluates patient/client and provides a safe, comfortable and therapeutic patient/client environment

• Monitors the safety and effectiveness of the environment and equipment including universal precautions

• Participates in activities to facilitate good interpersonal communications

• Communicates observations and significant changes in patient/client status to the Director of

• Documents all physician collaboration/coordination of care in the medical record and communicates this information as needed
