Job Description:

As a Material Manager, you will be responsible for helping with Manufacturing Operations on multiple development and production programs for Agile Development Group (ADG). ADG specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience. You will serve as a liaison between manufacturing, engineering, quality, configuration, and program office teams.

The Agile Development Group (ADG) specializes in developing disruptive, next-generation technologies for advanced Unmanned Air Systems (UAS/UAV), advanced radar systems, next-generation weapon systems, and other RF sensor technologies using small company agility and big company experience.

Essential Functions:

  • Control flow of approved materials to meet development and production schedules.

  • Advise management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential schedule impacts to ensure resources are effectively and efficiently utilized.

  • Coordinate interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and inventory control, etc.

  • Read engineering drawings and bills of material to ensure procurement and manufacturing activities align with the design specifications.

  • Prioritize and manage the efficient movement of material from receiving to production to meet contracted delivery schedules.

  • Use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to create manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions.

  • Participate and provide input in program meetings to ensure scheduled milestones are supported.

  • Review and evaluate engineering change notices for material planning requirements and schedule impacts.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing build schedules and Master Production Schedules.

  • Available to travel up to 10%.

  • Other duties as required.

    Qualifications:

  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems to plan material requirements.

  • Experience with engineering documents and planning processes.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • APICS CPIM or CSPC certifications, or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in Aerospace Industry.

  • Outstanding work ethic and commitment to organizational success.

  • Excellent people skills to include collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team environment.

  • Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.

  • Understands how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV), and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators.

  • Participate in small teams and perform a wide variety of tasks

  • Participate in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and have regular contact with customers.

    Qualifications :

  • Experience in software development.

  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) and Microsoft Project.

  • Experience with project engineering and program execution, and managing multi-discipline programs across multiple locations.

  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $30M+.

  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.

  • Experience with managing Agile SW development programs including using Confluence.

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with a polygraph

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Agile PLM.

  • Experience leading Government Contract development programs.

  • Experience in Government contract acquisition lifecycle a plus.

Job Description:

L3Harris is seeking an experienced electrical, software, or computer engineer to join our Field Test Validation team. This role will report directly to the Senior Engineering Manager of the Field Test Validation team and will be responsible for successfully verifying requirements and validation of operational and mission scenarios by executing field test exercises. This person will contribute to the company's success by ensuring L3Harris product and system requirements are fully verified with user-oriented focus in valid over-the-air operational and mission scenarios, successfully exceeding the quality expectations of our current and future customers.

Essential Functions:

  • Testing of L3Harris products and systems in customer scenarios with an end-user focus.

  • Developing test strategies for over the air (OTA) field and lab testing.

  • Documenting test plans and procedures.

  • Set up, configuration, and operation of sophisticated data and voice communication equipment.

  • Developing small software applications/tools to assist with data collection/analysis and for automation of repetitive testing tasks.

  • Generating trouble reports (TRs) to communicate issues found and characterize repeatability.

  • Collaborate with development engineers to suggest and support TR resolutions.

  • Refining team procedures, practices, and collection and reporting of performance data to ensure continuous improvement in the execution of tests.

  • May also include occasionally supporting new business pursuit activities including demos, proposals, generation of applications info (e.g. diagrams, write-ups, etc.), and/or occasional travel and/or customer interaction to support these activities.

  • Candidates should be aware that additional requirements associated with conducting on-air testing of tactical radios also may apply. These include working outside in virtually all-weather conditions applicable to the Rochester, NY area and other physical requirements such as occasional liftingyer and installing of equipment and working in and around vehicles.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant engineering experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related engineering experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related engineering experience.

    Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Theoretical knowledge of RF communications including RF propagation

  • Knowledge of networking including TCP/IP, LAN and WAN technologies.

  • Working knowledge of telecommunications protocols such as RS232/422/485, PPP, Ethernet, ISDN, etc.

  • Programming experience including the ability to write small applications and/or scripts to assist with data collection/analysis and for automation of common tasks.

  • Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to other member of the FTV team

  • Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools, and a strong motivation to positively impact the performance and work experience of the team.

  • Proven/effective communications skills across a variety of employee levels.

  • Proven ability to plan, schedule and track multiple projects to successful completions.

  • Prior military or professional communications experience including radio operation and/or repair/troubleshooting.

  • Familiarity with Tactical Communications technologies and applications.

  • Experience with testing of legacy and/or advanced waveforms and communications modes, including SINCGARS, VHF/UHF AM and FM, HQ I/II, P25, HPW/Satcom, L3Harris ANW2, Trellisware TSM, and SRW.

  • Experience with industry standard engineering and manufacturing documentation best practices and procedures.

  • Preferred experience with tools such as TestRail, DOORs, etc. or other tools that allow for requirements tracking, development scoring, and reporting of test results.

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and associated tools such as Atlassian JIRA.

  • Experience with programming/scripting languages such as Java, Python, C#, or LabVIEW.

  • Experience with configuring and testing MANETs.

  • 6 Sigma training (or strong working knowledge).

    In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $85,500- $158,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
