L3Harris is currently seeking a Spec, Software Engineer to join our team. This position will be based at our Greenville, TX facility and offers a 9/80 schedule.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for research, design, and development of application software in multi-tier architectures to configure and manage Mission Communications Systems equipment.
Analyzes requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints
Ability to develop and analyze design tradeoffs against scope, cost, and schedule constraints
Perform coding and unit test of resultant software
Perform software component integration
Participate in peer reviews
Identifying, tracking, and repairing defects.
Support continuous improvement, process innovation and lessons learned activities into software development process
Experience with software development in Windows OS-environment.
Job Qualification Requirements:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
Experience with backend application development including the following: Multi-process/multi-thread environments; Network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP); Usage of complex data structures via various methods of storage/access; Proficiency in a high level programming language such as C++ or Java; Experience in the use of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) methodologies to design, development, test, and maintain complex software systems; Experience developing and testing in the Linux OS. Job Description:
As a member of the Engineering Technical Team, this position is responsible for the development, design, execution, test for Systems Engineering focusing on Cryptography (Cryp), Anti-Tamper (AT), and/or Information Assurance (IA) for DoD programs. Must have knowledge and practical experience in Hardware/Software design and implementation, System Architecture, and Verification/Validation/Accreditation in AT, Cryptography, and/or IA on real-time HW/SW applications in DoD programs. Execute design, build, integration and test activities, problem resolution and verifying that the deliverable products meet all program and customer requirements.
Provide innovative Systems Engineering solutions consistent with business development plans.

Provide inputs and reviews of the engineering technical baseline as part of proposal efforts.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $134,000 - $211,000.
