* QUARTERLY INCENTIVE BONUS PROGRAM *

Pay Range: $17.50/HR - $25.90/HR

Float Incentive: Additional $2.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement (if applicable)

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday hours vary between 8:00AM - 8:00PM; additional hours and rotating Saturday's as needed

  • Qualified to perform moderately complexity testing as defined by CLIA

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Job Requirements:

  • Must have valid Washington issued Phlebotomy License or have an application for Phlebotomy License filed with Washington Department of Health at time of hire

  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

  • 1 year of previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Floats must be 21 years of age, reliable transportation, and clean driving record if applicable

Schedule : Tuesday-Saturday 7AM-3:30PM

Department : Microbiology

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

  • Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures

  • Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality

  • Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.

  • Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls

  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

  • Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary

  • Assist with processing of specimens when needed

  • Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a BA/BS degree in Biology, Chemistry, Medical Technology, or other related science (or 24 credits in Chemistry/Biology constituting a biological science major) as required by CLIA.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment

  • Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems are a plus

  • High level of attention detail along with strong communication and organizational skills

  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

  • Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs

Pay Range: $22.97-$36.49

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience and the terms of the collective bargaining agreement between Dynacare Northwest, Inc. and United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 21. Regular, full-time, or part-time employees working 24 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), accrue up to 18 days of Annual Leave per year (includes 8 holidays) and Sick Leave (0.0333 hours of sick leave for each hour of work).

In this roles the EHS Specialist III provide the EHS staff and/or site(s) with direction and technical expertise to effectively minimize employee illness and injuries, establish and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable industry standards, and reduce EHS related risk (fires, environmental releases, etc.) to the site(s).

Essential Job Duties:

  • Administers environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements and company goals.

  • Provide leadership and technical expertise with regard to risk assessment activities so to minimize EHS related risk (e.g. fire, environmental releases, injuries and illnesses, etc.) to Covance.

  • Assists Corporate EHS Director by participating on corporate audit teams, and other duties as requested.

  • Develops and implements facility-wide policies, procedures, and EHS training programs to ensure compliance with applicable state/country regulatory requirements and industry standards on a country, regional and global basis.

  • Inspects facilities and operations for regulatory and company policy compliance.

  • Conducts accident and incident investigations.

  • Actively promotes environmental, health, and safety activities, participates in committees and meetings, and provides miscellaneous services.

  • May lead EHS Committee and Team activities, such as department safety teams, emergency response team, etc.

  • May function as the Chemical Hygiene Officer, Radiation Safety Officer, Emergency Coordinator, Biological Safety Officer or Technical Lead.

  • May function as a member or leader of site EHS audit team.

  • Initiate, establish and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external clients.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in science or technical field

  • Manage and administer environmental, health, and safety programs to meet regulatory requirements, corporate initiatives, and company objectives.

  • Implement strategies to effectively assess and prevent applicable EHS related risks (waste management, fire protection, infectious disease, etc.).

  • Acts as the technical lead for all aspects of industrial hygiene, biosafety, laboratory safety, occupational health, chemical management, and waste management.

  • Ensures that sites have accurately characterized waste streams and are managing programs in a safe responsible and compliant manner.

  • Partner with site management to ensure applicable EHS related goals (accident rates, training participation, etc.) and regulatory requirements (assessments, plans, training, etc.) are achieved.

  • May lead EHS Committee and Team activities, such as department safety teams, emergency response team, etc.

  • Manages incident investigations and report EHS-related (injuries/illnesses, environmental metrics, risk assessments, EHS action items) information into the Company's EHS management system.

  • Ensure medical care is provided to work related injuries and illnesses and manage worker's compensation cases, where applicable.

  • Respond to site EHS related emergency situations, including fires, explosions, chemical release, medical, etc.

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and deliver (as necessary) an effective and compliant EHS training program.

  • Monitor EHS related regulatory developments and determine applicability to the site.

  • Initiate, establish and cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with internal and external clients by communicating and influencing effectively at multiple levels of the organization to achieve results.

  • Act as the liaison between Labcorp and regulatory authorities during site inspections.

  • Partner with Facilities, and other groups to ensure site construction/renovation activities incorporate EHS related considerations.

  • Work with contracted insurance agencies to continually improve EHS programs via hosting inspections and implementing recommendations.

  • Conduct routine site audits and reviews to identify systemic EHS management gaps, develop corrective measures and implement solutions to sustain compliance with regulatory and LabCorp requirements. Ensure the timely correction of findings.

  • Participate in corporate lead EHS projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3 years minimum of applied professional EHS work experience.

  • EHS experience; in a laboratory setting or demonstrated expertise in industrial hygiene, biosafety, chemical and waste management.

  • A Professional certification, such as Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional is preferred

  • 3 years minimum experience of leading people or managing programs.

  • Experience in providing EHS leadership to multiple locations within the USA.

LabCorp is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join their Specimen Accessioning team in Houston, TX . The Specimen Accessioner will be responsible for performing specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment according to established standard operating procedures.

Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday - Friday, 9:00 pm - 5:30 am. With rotating weekends as needed and Holidays as needed.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Introduce and prepare biological specimens to the laboratory to ensure accurate processing

  • Open specimens and pour off into secondary containers to prepare for analysis and testing

  • Verify patient demographic information matches the test requisition form submitted

  • Data entry of patient information into the computer system for tracking purposes

  • Meet key production metrics and quality measures to ensure timely and accurate results

  • Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas

  • Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities when required

  • Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples

  • Resolve and document any problem specimens

  • Handle and dispose of medical and chemical waste

  • Comply with applicable environmental health and safety policies and procedures

  • Operate automated instrumentation under supervision if necessary

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • No relevant experience is required

  • Previous medical or production experience is preferred

  • Comfortable handling human biological specimens including blood, urine and tissue samples

We are currently seeking an extraordinary, highly motivated individual to join our CLIA Operations team, with a focus on performing diagnostic testing on clinical and research use samples. The successful candidate will participate in all aspects of sample processing including receipt and accessioning, nucleic acid isolation, genomic library preparation and next generation sequencing following guidelines of regulatory agencies for academic, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical clients.

This is a 2nd shift position: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Tuesday - Saturday

Essential Job Duties:

  • Perform molecular-based diagnostic analyses to support CLIA service work in a regulated laboratory environment

  • Provide general input to the development of plans, programs, processes, priorities, and operational goals

  • Maintain, follow, and assist in optimization of current laboratory protocols for maximum efficiency and yield

  • Record activities in electronic database (LIMS) and written laboratory records

  • Aid in managing supply and reagent inventory

  • Manage several projects at once and master new concepts and skills quickly with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Maintain a neat, clean, and orderly facility at all times

  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

  • Perform other responsibilities required for successful CLIA operations as assigned by manager

Minimum Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field

  • Years of experience in the job discipline 1-2 years

  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory (CLIA/CAP/GLP) is preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate.

  • Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office - Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

  • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.

Training Requirements

Must be able to train Mon-Fri between 9am and 5pm/Dayshift. (2 - 3 weeks)

Schedule: (Nights 3rd Shift) Monday - Friday 11:45pm to 8:15am

Location: Nashville, TN

OPTIONAL: Included with this position is a company vehicle to use for the route. In addition, for only $100 per month, you will have the option of taking this vehicle home with you and using it for personal use. If you choose to use the company vehicle for personal use all gas, tolls and maintenance are covered by the company.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and clean driving record

  • Must be at least 21 years' old

  • Previous driver/courier experience is preferred

  • Very punctual with strong time management skills
