We are currently seeking an experienced Phlebotomist to work in a client's office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.

Monday - Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service

  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

  • Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

  • Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred

Labcorp is seeking to add a n Subsidiary Appeals Billing Specialist - Revenue Cycle Management Division! This individual will be primarily responsible for maximizing revenue for the company. This team interacts with health insurers to secure coverage and reimbursement for our patients. The Appeals Specialist is expected to understand all aspects of the insurance appeal process and can identify insurance trends and provide impactful feedback. The result of our work is an innovative, flexible, highly scalable billing operations in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.

What to Expect:

Remote Work

SCHEDULE: Mon - Fri, traditional PST hours

  • Performs trend analysis of payer rejections and denials

  • Produces high volume of successful appeals to insurance carriers to obtain payment

  • Collaborates with multiple teams and to develop best practices to ensure we are providing the best service

  • Reviews payor medical policies Sends corrected claims

  • Consistently follow-ups with insurances on payor denials

  • As needed, communicate via telephone with clients, professionally and concisely.

  • Participates in projects that extend beyond your day to day to stretch you to think outside the box

Education and Qualifications, required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience dealing with all insurances and accessing payor portals

  • Experience with Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and different denials & denial codes from insurances

  • Concise and professional verbal communication skills to interact with, clients, team members and management via various methods, i.e., telephone, email and virtually.

  • Detail oriented with good organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask within multiple systems

  • Adaptable with changing duties, following an SOP but able to problem solve and deviate as required by specific requests

  • Ability to manage time and tasks independently while working under minimal supervision

  • Professional and courteous email communication

  • Possess a strong work ethic and commitment to improving patients' lives

  • Enjoys problem-solving in a dynamic, fast paced, team-based and rapidly changing environment

Strongly Preferred:

  • Knowledge, preferably (experience) with Medicare/Medicaid/ HMOs/PPOs/commercial insurances

  • Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) experience, strongly preferred

  • Xifin, CRM applications (i.e. Salesforce)

Labcorp is seeking a Logistics Routing Analyst. In this exciting role, you perform analysis and support implementation of systemic ground logistics route optimizations using the Descartes system, local branch operational knowledge and any special client requirements to create efficient routing that also supports a healthy specimen flow into our branch operations. You measure proposed systemic outputs using analytical software vs current routing plans that will impact branch logistics cost averaging $400K annually . You continually engage with the Divisions that will involve ongoing analysis of routing, acquisition integration planning and/or special projects as assigned.

Your role centers around making recommendations to Local Management.

This role reports to the Logistics Technology Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learns and possesses deep knowledge of the Descartes routing system to effectively utilize the system.

  • Analyzes large data sets utilizing the Descartes routing system that takes into consideration local operational knowledge of any special client requirements.

  • Measures and presents the proposed outputs to Local and Corporate Leadership.

  • Helps design, updates, and distributes logistics trainings and SOPs related to the usage of the Descartes system.

  • Identifies and shares best practices to manager.

  • Interacts with other departments within Supply Chain Operations. This includes Fleet, Pre/Peri Analytics, Data Analytics, Client Contact center and Phlebotomy when appropriate involved in supporting Special Projects related to the movement of samples.

  • Domestic travel 25 - 30%

Qualifications, required

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent

  • Minimum of 5 years in logistics, supply chain operations or related field

  • Hands-on experience using logistics routing software, i.e., Omnitracs (Roadnet), Descartes, or similar software

  • Experience using data analytic software

  • Basic MS Excel and Power point

Qualifications, preferred

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree

  • Intermediate MS Excel and Power point

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Technical Acumen: Proven ability to learn and fully utilize the routing software to create routing solutions that meet business needs as well as route efficiency. This will involve analysis using large sets of data, collaboration with the local branch management, Regional Operations Managers, Regional VPs, and Senior Corporate Supply Chain Leadership. Presenting the data and outputs in a manner that is easy to understand and measurable is key.

Problem Solving: Utilizing large sets of data with many variables to balance efficiency and volume delivery to the branches. The options to analyze and determine the best solution are numerous, therefore critical thinking and judgement will be critical to shaping an optimal solution.

Decision Making: Taking many different inputs such as local narrative of the client base, perceived special requirements, the actual data being captured in the routing system to create and determine the recommended best course of action. You will have oversight of the proposed solutions but will need work autonomously to create the solutions prior to review and editing.

Personal Interactions: Daily, Weekly, Monthly verbal and written communication with management (local, divisional, corporate). Levels of Management will include Logistics Supervisors, Branch Managers, Regional Operational Managers, Regional VP, Corporate Supply Chain VP's and SVP. Interactions with other Corporate Supply Chain Operational teams.

Interpersonal: Proven written and verbal person communication with all levels of the organization up to the SVP of Supply chain. Proven ability to compose and present PowerPoint presentations. Proven ability to summarizes complex information into more basic outlines for the front-line audience.

About the Team:

The Payroll Tax department adheres to legislation and regulatory compliance and ensures the employee and employer tax liability is reported and paid to regulatory agencies timely. The department also, handles the employee tax setup, validates payroll tax results, answers employee questions and ensures the payroll system is updated with the correct regulatory updates on a regular basis.

Internship Assignment Summary:

Internship Assignment Summary:

  • Perform tasks within multiple departments/areas of the Toxicology laboratory to include: Receiving/Accessioning of specimens. Aliquoting of specimens for initial and confirmatory testing. Assisting Technologists with management of workflow and re-filling of reagents and QC (Screening, Extractions and Mass Spectrometry). Loading and unloading of initial testing batches onto the screening instrumentation (i.e. Beckman Coulter AU5800) in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and supervisor guidance (Screening). Maintain inventory of laboratory or instrument supplies and reagents. Notify appropriate personnel or supervisor of any shortages. Follow proper chemical waste disposal procedures, and handling of chemicals according to the safety manual and Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) protocols. Follow chain of custody procedures with accuracy and consistency. Verify chain of custody and specimens received.

  • Perform and record instrument and equipment temperature, maintenance and function checks.

  • Understand and comply with all laboratory and safety policies.

  • This employee will be responsible for performing various non-technical tasks within the different departments/areas of the Toxicology laboratory.

The Senior Cost Analyst will have an opportunity to help build this newly formed department from the ground up. In this role, the Senior Cost Analyst will contribute to the development of standard costs for materials, labor and overhead for multiple facilities globally in a complex setting. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of standard costs for Laboratory Tests and Manufacturing Finished Goods (material, labor and overhead components).

  • Analyze production costs and recommend changes to standard cost.

  • Ensure accuracy of product costs driving item profitability analysis.

  • Define new global, standardized business processes for the standard cost cycle driving automation and efficiencies in the business cycle.

  • Document new business processes establishing standard operating procedures.

  • Foster the involvement of end users outside of the cost accounting team.

  • Train, review, analyze with business partners on the results and outcomes of standard cost variances on monthly basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience (preferably within a manufacturing setting).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel and Word, Outlook.

  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience required (Oracle Fusion Cloud Preferred).

  • Advanced Excel Experience preferred (Pivot tables, v/hlookups, sumifs, if formulas, variance analysis).

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups

  • Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.

  • Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

  • Process billing information and collect payments when required

  • Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis

  • Maintain patient and specimen information logs

  • Provide superior customer service to all patients

  • Administrative and clerical duties as necessary

  • Travel to additional sites when needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred

  • Previous experience as a phlebotomist

  • Comfortable working under minimal supervision

Job Responsibilities:

  • Process human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic exam

  • Perform technical duties related to the production of histopathological slides of surgical specimens

  • Section the embedded tissue, using a microtome and mount the section properly on a microscope slide

  • Perform various immunohistochemical tests on formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue sections

  • Process mounted sections through routine and special staining procedures

  • Properly orient and embed surgical tissue specimens

  • Prepare the stains and reagents needed for special procedures

  • Report accurate and timely test results in order to deliver quality patient care

  • Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments

  • Perform and document equipment maintenance as needed

  • Record equipment log data in an accurate and timely manner

  • Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures

  • Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies

  • Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, analysis and reporting

  • Document problems that may affect test performance and perform corrective actions when needed

Job Requirements:

  • Generally requires Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science and meet local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements

  • Minimum 3 years experience working in a histology lab required

  • ASCP Histology certification or other relevant Histology certifications preferred

  • Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment

  • Ability to accurately read all labels and documents

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen

Pay Range: $34-42/hour

  • Confirms insurance coverage. Determines necessity for pre-authorization and obtains authorization for scheduled procedures.|

  • Determines financial responsibility for services to be provided. Notifies patients and/or practitioners of any services requested and/or referred that are not authorized by insurance.|

  • Communicates with patients and practitioners regarding financial responsibility and insurance coverage issues.|

  • Maintains detailed documentation in the patient account record of all billing activities. Maintains documentation of claims processed as part of the daily claims reconciliation process.|

  • Prepares and completes claims for commercial insurance companies, third party organizations and/or government or self payers.|

  • Researches, analyzes and reconciles Medicare/Medicaid billing and reimbursement practices.

  • Consults with appropriate parties to resolve unbilled claims. Reviews recent accounts for proper billing practices and reimbursement.

Job Description

The Senior Cost Analyst will have an opportunity to help build this newly formed department from the ground up. In this role, the Senior Cost Analyst will contribute to the development of standard costs for materials, labor and overhead for multiple facilities globally in a complex setting. A successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop new processes to maintain the standard costs, advise Management, and to have strong communication, analytical and technology skills. This is a hybrid position, reporting onsite to either Burlington or Durham, North Carolina three days a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of standard costs for Laboratory Tests and Manufacturing Finished Goods (material, labor and overhead components).

  • Analyze production costs and recommend changes to standard cost.

  • Ensure accuracy of product costs driving item profitability analysis.

  • Define new global, standardized business processes for the standard cost cycle driving automation and efficiencies in the business cycle.

  • Document new business processes establishing standard operating procedures.

  • Foster the involvement of end users outside of the cost accounting team.

  • Train, review, analyze with business partners on the results and outcomes of standard cost variances on monthly basis.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience (preferably within a manufacturing setting).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Excel and Word, Outlook.

  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience required (Oracle Fusion Cloud Preferred).

  • Advanced Excel Experience preferred (Pivot tables, v/hlookups, sumifs, if formulas, variance analysis).

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing priorities and to utilize resources effectively.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to negotiate and liaise with internal clients in a professional manner.

  • Hybrid Work Environment in Burlington or Durham, North Carolina (3 Days in Office, 2 Days Remote).
