LRASM program is seeking a circuit design engineering & technology manager for the program area. As an Engineering & Technology (E&T) Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the management and development of their team, support of department initiatives and directorate undertakings, and driving technical excellence, affordability, and program execution.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Circuit Design Engineering Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

- Providing technical coaching and mentoring, work assignments, employee career development, continuous ongoing feedback, and being their employees advocate in opportunity discussions.

- Coordinating employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessments, salary planning, recognition/disciplinary actions, and engineering competency development.

- Supporting program development, execution of program requirements, adherence to engineering development processes, promoting customer focus, and serving as the technical conscience for their program.

- Having strong knowledge in circuit card design experience.

- Prior Electrical team and/or multiple discipline integrated product team experience is required.

- FPGA design experience is a plus.

Candidates filling this position will need a US citizen and will need a clearance at the level specified in -Clearance Level- or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified. In addition to meeting security clearance requirements, candidate may need to be approved to work Special Access Program (SAP) prior to start of employment.

- Experience with Cadence Virtuoso IC design suite

- Experience in CMOS Integrated Circuit design

- Experience in top level integrated circuit design, integration, and preparation for tapeout

- Design experience and knowledge of Printed Wiring Boards (PWB), circuit card assemblies, rigid flex board, and/or harness

- Strong understanding of digital circuit card design and analysis

- Ability to generate board layout requirements to met design performance and design for manufacture (DFM) requirements

This role requires fine motor skills in order to assemble, adjust and align a variety of assemblies and subassemblies to close tolerance. Work from approved engineering drawings, mechanical blueprints, quality inspection procedures, military specifications, manufacturing process plans and other written instructions. Move in-process work, components, parts, assemblies, material and completed product to appropriate locations, utilizing all lifting and moving devices in the performance of duties throughout the facility. Use a wide variety of measuring instruments and equipment to perform visual, dimensional and mechanical floor and product inspection of printed circuit boards, harnesses, chassis, subassemblies, assemblies and final assemblies. Why is this role special:

Your role on the team will be slightly different, as you will be seen on the team as the lead for understanding various VPX and CMOSS implementation requirements for software stacks (e.g., PTP4L, switch QoS). This expertise will be gathered on-the-job in coordination with other VPX/CMOSS experts.

Building this system will require knowledge of networking, for example proxy management, switch configuration, cable management/organization. Your scripting experience will allow you to understand existing scripts, creating startup scripts and bundling high level scripts.

-Support integration and test of the Tactical Mobility solutions to build and productize the 5G software stack into a VPX deployable system for the US Army
