As the Software Engineer Senior Staff, our responsibilities will include:

- Interacting with other people using good verbal and written communication skills

- Working independently or with a small group

- Performing complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline

- Following specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code

Basic Qualifications:

Software Development experience

Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

Desired Skills:

Agile tracking tools experience (JIRA, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)

Automated testing experience

DevOps, DevSecOps, or Full Stack experience

Qt Test Eggplant, Cucumber, Ranorex, JMeter, LiveAPI or other test automation tools experience

Experience with DevSecOps tools & processes

Experience with Jira, GitLab (or equivalent), automation, CI/CD, and pipelines

Experience with Windows and Linux workflows

Experience building software in any language

You will be an Industrial Engineer with our team in Archbald, PA. Lockheed Martin's Archbald facility specializes in design, manufacturing, and engineering for both domestic and international customers. It produces electronic assemblies, machined and welded assemblies/parts, and safety-critical systems for various defense and commercial applications. The site is renowned for its awards and contributions to missile systems, nuclear instrumentation, and control products.

What You Will Be Doing

You may support the Assembly and/or Fabrication areas depending on the assignment. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

Design manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, machining and material handling within plant facilities to ensure most efficient and productive layout. Adapt machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions. Inspect performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to verify efficiency, and investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure product quality. Provide guidance to engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. May be responsible for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production and release. Use SAP, lean six sigma concepts, and other tools to analyze and design sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel. May establish/assist in establishing accident prevention measures and may manage training programs for personnel concerning all phases of production operations. Conduct studies and implement plans pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities. May use tools such as simulation modeling, 2D/3D modeling, and other business process applications to investigate issues, gather data, and present solutions to teams and leaders within the organization. Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to improve productivity, decision making, and gain competitive advantage in an engineering setting. May work with technical developers and data scientists to define changes to existing applications and/or new applications needed to achieve desired results.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Software Performance Manager, this position requires close cooperation with Agile software teams and the process owners. - Manage new build Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Electronic Flight Packages assembly and test

- Manage FBM Tactical, Flight test, and Reentry cable manufacturing & test

The candidate would have experimental research experience in atomic, molecular, nuclear, solid state, thermal, and other physical phenomena. The candidate would also have experience developing theories based on observed results of experiments and predicting phenomena based on theoretical considerations in areas such as acoustics, electricity and magnetism, electronics, heat, light, mechanics, radiation, optics, and lasers. The candidate would have experience in the use of lasers, optics, cryogenics, vacuum systems, precision electronics, and high-performance detectors for the measurement of linear and nonlinear dynamics. The candidate is expected to have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related master's degree; or 4 years of professional experience with a related doctoral degree.

In this role, you will:

- Engage in the planning, conduct, and leadership of research and development efforts in the laboratory and via analysis

- Be a leading member of our team that designs and develops electro-optical instruments and systems for civilian and military aerospace application

You should have direct and relevant experience in the design and modeling of complex physical and chemical systems, precise wavelength and phase stabilization of lasers, optical parametric oscillators and amplifiers and frequency conversion devices, familiarity with current state-of-the-art in linear and nonlinear optical materials, and optical systems. Orion is NASA's spacecraft that will take humans deep into space. Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $67,400 - $129,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
