As the Software Engineer Senior Staff, our responsibilities will include:
- Interacting with other people using good verbal and written communication skills
- Working independently or with a small group
- Being flexible in a highly dynamic and ever-changing environment
- Performing complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, integration, and user-support for a large code baseline
- Following specifications in order to develop or modify functionality within the code
- Assisting with design, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation
- Interfacing with other system support groups to resolve problems, set standards and improve overall efficiency of the system
- Designing, coding, testing and implementing tools for automation

Basic Qualifications:
Software Development experience
Bachelor's degree or above from an accredited college in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Desired Skills:
Agile tracking tools experience (JIRA, GitLab, GitHub, etc.)
Automated testing experience
DevOps, DevSecOps, or Full Stack experience
Qt Test Eggplant, Cucumber, Ranorex, JMeter, LiveAPI or other test automation tools experience
Experience with DevSecOps tools & processes
Experience with Jira, GitLab (or equivalent), automation, CI/CD, and pipelines
Experience with Windows and Linux workflows
Experience building software in any language
Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible (or equivalent)
Experience with a cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google) and basic understanding of cloud principles

You will be the Software Engineer Senior Staff within the LM Aeronautics Advanced Development Program (ADP) Skunkworks, where future technologies are utilized to solve tomorrow's problems.
As the Software Engineer Senior Staff, our responsibilities will include:
- Accountable for the Software Integrated Product Team's (SW IPT) overall engineering technical, capability, and schedule performance on a specific ADP program.
- Coordinatin planning, organization, integration and completion of software development projects within the SW IPT.
- Providing SW IPT progress and plans to SW Leadership.
- Instantiates solutions across all components of software systems through design, integration, implementation and support.
- Working closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing, coordinates with first line managers on proposed engineering staffing changes prior to changes.
- Leveraging proven processes, lessons learned, and best practices from other parts of business or industry.
- Ensuring program plans and technical baselines are consistent with Program Control processes and Modern Engineering Practices.
- Planning and formulating engineering program; reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
- Coordinating activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.

What You Will Be Doing

You will be the Software Performance Manager for the F35 maintenance system software development organization.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Software Performance Manager, this position requires close cooperation with Agile software teams and the process owners. You will be responsible for ensuring software development processes are properly defined, documented, and communicated to the software development teams. You will be an expert in company and program software development processes and agile methodologies, and will coach and mentor software development personnel on those processes. You will be responsible for definition, collection, and analysis of software metrics and will constantly evaluate and suggest process improvements based on those metrics as well as observations of program execution and evolving company and program requirements. In this role, you will:
- Engage in the planning, conduct, and leadership of research and development efforts in the laboratory and via analysis
- Be a leading member of our team that designs and develops electro-optical instruments and systems for civilian and military aerospace application
You should have direct and relevant experience in the design and modeling of complex physical and chemical systems, precise wavelength and phase stabilization of lasers, optical parametric oscillators and amplifiers and frequency conversion devices, familiarity with current state-of-the-art in linear and nonlinear optical materials, and optical systems. Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Summer 2025 Intern Predictive Analytics and Cost Engineering Analyst. In this role, you will work tasks involving affordability analysis, life cycle cost developments, cost data analytics, forecasting cost and schedule, data collection and normalization, and/or design to cost. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of how to work on detailed-oriented projects that involve navigating technical or cost data as well as an understanding of one of the following: cost model development, data analytics, engineering, data science, and/or finance.
Basic Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Math, Statistics, Engineering, Finance, Operations Research, or related field
- Basic Knowledge around one or more of the following: cost model development, data analytics, statistics, engineering, data science, and/or finance
- Demonstrated ability to execute detail-oriented projects requiring technical communication skills
- Familiar with navigating technical and/or cost data with a willingness to learn how to navigate both
- Basic Knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Orion is NASA's spacecraft that will take humans deep into space. No other spacecraft in development has the technology needed for the extremes of deep space, such as life support, navigation, communications, radiation shielding and the world's largest heat shield that will support astronauts and help return them safely home.
Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor creating Orion. We are in the production phase and have finalized a contract for six Orion spacecraft missions and the ability to order up to 12 in total. The first spacecraft delivered on this contract, Artemis III, will transport the first woman and the next man to the surface of the Moon. This Denver Orion Test Labs position is to lead integration and test activities, including:
- Certified Test Conductor (CTC) and Test Engineer
- Artemis III+ hardware/software integration
- Hands-on software loads, hardware reconfiguration, and complex hardware/software troubleshooting activities
- Spacecraft/Lab Subsystem Responsible Engineer
- Full time in-person, with occasional weekend and/or 2nd shifts
