As the Administrative Assistant, you will manage activities contributing to the successful execution of Air Force National Capitol Region Information Technology Services program.

What will you do in this role?

Serve as primary peer reviewer for staff technical documents by proofreading, editing, and formatting.
Facilitating correspondence and communication, including preparing briefings, memos, and correspondence with minimal oversight, and accurately composing and preparing effective correspondence and reports.
Managing classified and unclassified documents within AFNCR NMCC SharePoint Portal.
Protect integrity, authenticity, and confidentiality of records following established procedures.
Serve as office courier, transporting, protecting, and ensuring proper disposal of classified material and media. Collect classified burn bags and deliver them to the designated area.
Managing physical security of classified safe and administering security procedures for access to controlled areas. Implement security measures by preparing and submitting applications for access to controlled areas. Maintain a daily log of personnel authorized entry into open storage space.
Prepare and submit building visitor access and NMCC badge requests to the appropriate office for all new hires.
Guide new employees through the onboarding process. Assist nominated employees through the completion of documents for SCI level access
Maintaining attention to detail in a multi-project, teamwork environment, with potential frequent interruptions, with competing needs requiring a clear understanding of prioritization.

Basic Qualifications:

U.S. Citizenship with an Active DoD Top Secret clearance, and possess or be eligible for SCI level access
Experience working in classified and unclassified environments.

The Leidos Innovations Center currently has an opening for a Principal Optical Design Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to develop disruptive optical technologies that could be integrated into future space systems - a business area in which Leidos is transforming the payloads solutions for the future.

As a Design Lead, you will directly support a rapidly growing sector within the Division by leading design, development, and demonstration of new optical technologies that could drastically reduce size, weight, power, and cost of compact satellite optical payloads, and potentially enhancing performance to enable new capabilities.

Responsibilities would initially be in working with current optical designers to understand the trades in optical payload design, leading investigation into new optics including diffractive optics, meta-optics, and gradient index lenses, and developing new insights and capabilities in integration of such technologies into future optical payload development. Additional responsibilities will likely include working on novel payload concepts through internal R&D (IRAD) effort, and may include the opportunity to serve as a supervisor.
Primary Responsibilities
Leverage expertise in hybrid optics system design and new optics technologies to lead development of compact satellite optical payloads
Lead teams focused on modeling and simulation, fabrication, assembly and characterization to rapidly evaluate, integrate, and deploy new optical and photonic technologies
Leverage expertise in modeling tools to build capabilities in development of new EO/IR technologies for space payloads.
Build and lead partnerships with internal Leidos teams and external partners to investigate and mature optics technologies, and develop a pipeline to transition them to production and integration
Support development of optics technology roadmaps to justify strategic IRAD investments to secure future CRAD opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, optics, or equivalent field with 12+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree in technical domain mentioned with 10+ years of prior relevant experience or Doctorate in technical domain mentioned with 8+ years of prior relevant experience.

As a Geospatial Analyst, you will apply knowledge of ArcGIS while performing a range of geospatial analysis for an intelligence customer. The successful candidate will work as a member of a government-contractor team providing geospatial analysis and research in support of counterterrorism mission requirements. The candidate should have a strong geospatial background and the ability to independently conduct research and initiate projects as they deem appropriate.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate will work directly with customers and team members and must be able to create, edit, research, evaluate, analyze, and fuse data from multiple sources and datasets to produce current and finished geospatial intelligence maps and other related products. You will prepare geospatial products and present intelligence assessments to customers and advise key leadership of intelligence issues and challenges as appropriate. You will exercise oral and written communication skills to collaborate and interact with analysts within the customer agency, military service components, and DoD and national-level intelligence agencies. In this position you will also assist in the development and documentation of analytical procedures, development and maintenance of geodatabases, and may be required to educate and demonstrate new methodologies and instruct on the use of advanced GIS applications.
MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Active TS/SCI level security clearance is REQUIRED
BS and 2-4years of relevant experience or equivalent years of experience with geospatial analysis experience
Knowledge and experience with digital cartography, image processing, computer technology, geographical information systems, (GIS), geospatial production techniques, remote sensing, and photogrammetry
Knowledge of and experience with most of the following: ArcGIS, ArcSDE, ArcView, ArcIMS, ArcTools, the Integrated Exploitation Capability (IEC) system, SocetSet, TerraExplorer/Builder, Remote View, ERDAS IMAGINE, MRSID, VB/VBA (or some other object oriented programming/scripting language), Oracle and other appropriate software to analyst geospatial data

Leidos is looking to hire a Solution Architect to provide technical leadership for FS2's Aeronautical Task Order in support of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
The Solution Architect must have a background in successfully collaborating with a variety of customers and stakeholders, helping to fill the communication gap between technical and non-technical specialists. The candidate must demonstrate a broad knowledge of cloud environments ranging from AWS Virtual Machines (EC2s) to Platform as a Service (Paas) with Kubernetes and OpenShift. The candidate will provide leadership to invigorate technical innovation and must be willing to drive smart change to support a collaborative and innovative culture to provide our customer with optimal solutions that meet their strategic goals. By collaborating with and being a part of the project management team, the candidate will provide strategic recommendations and ensure that the solution fits the defined purpose and aligns with NGA policies and FS2 program objectives. The qualified candidate will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership along with various external stakeholders, to lead architectural designs and drive implementation for all technical solutions across FS2's Aeronautical Task Order. This position will require experience across multiple System Engineering and architecture domains with a focus on standing, maintaining, and optimizing cloud environments. Primary Responsibilities
This position involves leading systems engineering activities that support integrating, modernizing and deploying IT capabilities using remote desktop and cloud technologies.
Become a subject matter expert (SME) for the Aero baseline and supporting programs, with the ability to communicate the system's features, architecture, roadmap, and limitations to a variety of audiences
Review current architecture diagrams across many Aero programs to identify similar dependencies, connections, and interactions with other programs and databases.
Collaborate with other program technical leadership on the system architecture roadmap and backlog aligned to customer's technology strategy and vision
Decompose requirements, use cases, and need statements into epics and features with clearly defined acceptance criteria that will be assigned to agile development teams
Provide hands-on technical support to the team (systems engineering, software development, testing)

THE CHALLENGE

Our National Security Sector is looking for a Mid-Senior Level Network Engineer to join a high performing agile team using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodology to support a large, complex, fast-paced program. Job Summary
The Software Engineer will perform software development activities as a member of an agile development team. Development includes the full range of turning agile stories into implementable concepts, through development, testing, and deployment of the new capabilities in this complex system. Applicant will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop a wide variety of hardware, and work with the latest automated technology used in assembly and test equipment. Candidate will support tasks such as review and approval of engineering drawings, bills of materials, customer quality requirements, and work instructions; participation in design reviews; and execution of manufacturing activities. Candidate will be required to work closely with the design team to complete all details of the design, to prepare the design for release to manufacturing. Candidate will also work closely with our quality team to develop processes that validate customer quality requirements.
Basic Qualifications
Candidate will have a BS degree in engineering (or a science or technical discipline) from an accredited university with at least 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Candidate will have at least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience on programs designing and building electronic hardware to government specifications (or similar).
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) a Final Secret Clearance or meet the eligibility requirements to obtain (and maintain) a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred candidate will have experience with software that maintains bills of materials, and other engineering design data.
Preferred candidate will have experience in SMT (Surface Mount Technology) processes and equipment.
Preferred candidate will have experience with electronics used on launch vehicles, targets, or missile components, and with production of cable harnesses, electronics, and electromechanical assemblies.
Ability to provide Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates, Basis of Estimate (BOE) documents, and other documents used to support proposal efforts will be a plus. Experience with Costpoint Material Planning software and/or Agile product lifecycle management software is a plus.
Experience in various quality roles is also a plus. Experience in using Manufacturing execution systems (MES) is also a plus.

Leidos has a career opportunity for an experienced Capture Director to assist the Defense Systems Sector in pursuing profitable growth and winning many and varied contracts which would lead to programs of record (PORs).
A successful candidate must be able to thrive in an environment where they are responsible for the management and execution of the full capture life-cycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals with government research and development customers. Duties may include:
Mentoring other capture, BD and/or operations professionals and support the larger Defense Systems business team.
Coalesce with team members, BD, operational leadership, and SMEs to build and execute call plans to position Defense Systems ability to win.
This person will also gather, assess, and validate customer requirements, working closely with BD leads - identifying related needs and constraints that impact the winning solution.
Develop value propositions through program strategies, supporting business cases and project plans and develop early win strategies and evolve the strategy throughout the capture lifecycle.

Leidos has an immediate need for a mid-level Project Manager to support the AEGIS contract at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC) located Redstone Arsenal, AL. The AEGIS contract provides high quality integrated communications services for secure network, voice, video, and data solutions to NASA customers worldwide. Candidate will provide mid-level project management duties within the AEGIS Project Management Office (PMO).
Primary Responsibilities:
Project lifecycle fundamentals in project planning and definition, build and design, execution, testing, implementation, and closeout.
Plan, monitor, and manage project tasks, timelines, milestones, and overall quality of project deliverables within a PMO.
Create and manage project management plans, project schedules, requirement specifications, project risks, and other technical documentation utilizing Microsoft suite tools or other within the PMO.
Develop solutions to problems and issues that are unclear and require analyses of domain knowledge.
Assist PMO with development and management of project methodologies, processes, standards, and documentation templates.
