Within the Leidos Defense Group, the Airborne Solutions Operation develops aircraft-based solutions and provides operational mission expertise to perform world-wide deployments in support of our US Military customers and foreign partners. Since 9/11 Leidos has been a leader in quick reaction capability (QRC) deployments of advanced mission equipment packages (MEP) including communications, SIGINT, full-motion video, and radar sensor suites and support infrastructure to provide actionable intelligence. Over 100 aircraft have been delivered to date, and our airborne operations provide critical ISR to support our customers' missions in EUCOM, AFRICOM, CENTCOM, INDOPACOM, and SOUTHCOM.

We currently have a dynamic job opportunity for an Engineering Team Lead to support the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) program., As an Engineering Team Lead, you'll be responsible for ensuring that the IT solutions supporting active Air Force operation centers are designed, implemented, and optimized to meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability. Your leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision will be crucial in fulfilling this role effectively.

The successful candidate will lead the engineering team in developing and implementing advanced engineering solutions, fostering customer and peer engagement through effective communication and collaboration, while proactively identifying and resolving complex technical challenges to drive project success.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver technical solutions through stakeholder collaboration, requirements analysis/decomposition, and adherence to engineering processes. Candidate should apply deep domain knowledge to developing solutions which provide a positive impact to the Warfighter.

  • Effectively communicate with both internal and client project team members and collaborate to influence decisions on solution design, process, and approaches.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for the engineering team, overseeing task development and assignment to ensure project progress within a geographically dispersed team.

  • Make significant contributions to project efforts by managing costs, estimating and tracking schedules, mitigating risks, and analyzing requirements.

  • Utilize strong communication skills to effectively lead the technical staff, provide updates on project status, troubleshoot complex issues, and review technical documentation.

  • Provides expert guidance and direction to engineers and site O&M personnel.

  • Coordinate with vendors and external technical support.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, and 8+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience delivering IT solutions to DoD customers.

  • Strong knowledge in server virtualization or network design.

  • Experienced in deploying and maintaining Windows Server and/or Red Hat systems.

  • 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification (e.g. Security+ CE or better).

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead a program in a high tempo, high demand environment.

  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • An active DoD secret level clearance is required for this role, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Cross Domain Solutions (CDS), Multi-Level Security (MLS), and virtualized environments.

  • Knowledge of NIST SP 800 53 series.

  • Current TS/SCI clearance is preferred.

  • Proficient in utilizing Jira for task management, issue tracking, and project collaboration, demonstrating the ability to create, prioritize, and update tasks, as well as navigate boards, backlogs, and workflows to facilitate Agile project methodologies.

We seek a dedicated and detail-oriented Training Administrator to join our Instructional System Design (ISD) team. This position provides comprehensive training support, including editing training materials, managing certification processes, and ensuring compliance within the security framework. The ideal candidate will have experience in training administration, excellent editing skills, and a strong understanding of the IC community security requirements.

The candidate will support Government staff in the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Training Services:

  • Develop, schedule, and coordinate training programs for government clients.

  • Maintain and update training records, including attendance, completion status, and certifications.

  • Assist in creating and disseminating training materials, including manuals, handouts, and online resources.

  • Provide logistical support for training sessions, including arranging venues, equipment, and materials.

  • Maintain training calendars and communicate training schedules to relevant parties.

An Active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance is required to be considered for this position. The candidate will support Government staff in the following:

Journeyman Communications Specialist/ Tech Writer

  • Technical Editing - Supports the ODNI by leading communication support such as: the development, preparation, production, coordination, and editing of a range of products that may include finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, and speeches

  • Prepares assignments based on input from subject matter experts

  • Mentors and trains junior staff

  • Utilizes tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite to create compelling content

  • Utilizes request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high quality customer support for communications requests

  • Provides support by researching, proofreading, editing, creating, writing, processing, revising, formatting, providing quality checks, and coordinating the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, as well as dissemination on multiple platforms. Products will be in a variety of formats, styles, and configurations, including written and web-based products

  • Ensures documentation and editing support includes checks for accuracy and consistency in organization, style, readability, and accessibility based on the medium

  • Drafts and edits a variety of communication materials and products, including but not limited to talking points, speeches, quotes, remarks, leadership communications, marketing copy, newsletter content, website content, and other communications products

  • Serves as the primary author on fact sheets, pamphlets, website content, articles, email messaging, and other communications products, as needed

  • Initiates, plans, executes, and reports on tasks independently, as identified

  • Prepares and edits speeches or scripts for senior executives for live or recorded delivery, testimony, and statements for Congressional Record

The Project

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for working with a team of junior, senior and expert software developers in an agile SAFe environment to write and maintain source code for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment of the EBS-C system.

  • Creates and maintains EBS-C software applications and applies frameworks involved in a software release on a classified and unclassified cloud network.

  • Works independently and in collaboration with more senior software developers to work off requirements backlog and provide required deliverables.

  • Attends daily Scrum Team meetings to assess progress and plan out upcoming sprints.

  • Supports more senior software developers in defining Sprint requirements, creating story boards and refining deliverables.

  • Communicates and collaborates with other software developers, Database Administrators and Project Manager.

  • Reports to SME Software Developer and Leidos EBS-C Project Manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Expertise in one or more programming languages is required.

  • Requires deep understanding of and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts of agile software development as applicable to EBS-C.

  • CompTIA Security+ or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

  • Must be U.S. Citizen.

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience (additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree).

Leidos Digital Modernization Sector is currently seeking a Warehouse Clerk to be located at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling in Washington DC. As the Warehouse Clerk you will be supporting the AFNCR (Air Force National Capital Region) by managing assets in a Theater Warehouse setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tracking and reporting on all accountable hardware for the AFNCR contract.

  • Utilizing the PC Tech Refresh plan, execute against that plan, and report status against that plan.

  • With the warehouse team, produce monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables as required by the contract.

  • Coordinate with Government Equipment Control Officers (ECOs) to maintain synchronization between our inventories and each ECO's inventory, including synchronization between Remedy and DPAS.

  • Travel is required to bases within the National Capital Region and will account for

  • Sanitize and inventory accountable assets and process via DLAD and UNICOR

  • Perform weekly, quarterly, and annual inventories on warehouse equipment.

  • Receive and deploy assets while accurately track/updating a CMDB.

Basic Requirements:

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of experience.

  • Currently hold a DoD Secret Clearance.

  • Experience using Remedy Applications.

  • Extensive knowledge of all Warehouse Processes and Warehouse Systems including shipping and receiving.

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.

  • Knowledge of DRMO process.

  • Electric pallet jack and forklift experience.

  • Strong communication skills - written and oral.

  • Computer skills: Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Internet Explorer.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to coordinate and organize efficient and dependable warehouse processes.
