Job Description:
JOB SUMMARY: Provide engaged leadership, strategic guidance and operational direction to a dedicated Sales Support team in order to promote the sale of Caterpillar equipment through financial products and services.

PRINCIPAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Owns all aspects of Marketing/Sales Support processes including quoting, variance expenditures and/or machine sales and rentals for all areas and is responsible for documenting and distributing all of these policies and procedures.
2.Monitors performance results of respective marketing initiatives in accordance with the strategic plan.
3.Provides leadership and training to the Sales Support staff. Develops and conducts Performance Management Process (PMP) reviews for staff in a timely manner.
4.Develops, administers and manages training plans to maximize development, performance and potential of staff.
5.Plans, organizes and prioritizes daily job tasks to maintain high quality service to internal and external customers.
6.Proactively assists in developing and improving dealer and customer relationships, including VIP Customer Program.
7.Monitors the effectiveness of merchandising programs providing reporting as needed by Senior Management, respective MBD's and dealers.
8.Provides financial merchandising expertise to various market segments of Caterpillar dealers and internal staff.
9.May facilitate the development of Cat Financial Commercial Account and dealer financial merchandising promotions and training.
10.Ensures all promotional programs are priced in accordance with marketing strategy and return guidelines.
11.Develops and controls expense budget for assigned staff.
12.Communicates with FPD Field Sales team to discuss transactions, service levels and dealer relationships and communicates with Caterpillar dealers on the same as needed.
13.Participates in accomplishment of continuous improvement objectives for the department. Progress toward accomplishment of these is measured through maintenance of necessary measurements and analysis of associated data. Participates in the identification of problem areas and development of resolutions to address them.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND KNOWLEDGE:
1.Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to apply math computation skills, statistical analysis and other mathematical concepts, including those used in financial modeling and forecasting.
2.Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to apply sales, persuasion and negotiation skills and techniques.
3.Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain dealer and customer relations.
4.Working knowledge of finance/leasing products, policies and procedures.
5.Demonstrated ability to define financing and leasing markets and make recommendations to management regarding new programs and approaches for penetrating these markets.
6.Working knowledge of the Caterpillar dealer organization.
7.Demonstrated knowledge of commercial laws and restrictions governing operations of assigned area including Uniform Commercial Code.
8.Demonstrated knowledge of financial products, pricing instruments, software, systems and Caterpillar Inc. merchandising programs of assigned area.
9.Working knowledge of marketing, credit and customer service concepts and techniques.
10.Demonstrated ability to quote financing and leasing transactions and apply the appropriate Caterpillar Merchandising Programs to these transactions.
11.Demonstrated ability to prepare marketing related reports.
12.Demonstrated knowledge of machine prices in current CFSC inventory for purposes of remarketing.
13.Demonstrated knowledge of rental terms for current CFSC inventory
14.Demonstrated knowledge of potential inventory in current lease portfolio.
15.Demonstrated knowledge of Remarketing Sales Reps processes for machine quoting and/or dealer enquiries.
16.Demonstrated knowledge of market competitive information to support machine pricing.
17.Demonstrated knowledge of machine sourcing information.
18.May assist Remarketing Sales Team with Pipeline Management.
19.Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to apply financing, accounting and taxation principles.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: A 4-year college or university degree and a minimum of 6 years exempt experience in credit, collections, cash applications, customer services, sales, marketing, documentation, financial statement analysis and/or accounting is recommended. Previous exempt experience must be progressively increasing in responsibility and accountability and demonstrate an ability to gain in knowledge, skills, and responsibility such that a level of full competency can be reached. Equivalent experience may be substituted for education.
