Kristen Ludgate, senior vice president of Human Resources at 3MThe Impact Youll Make in this RoleProvide leadership and support to the Purification Media processes (Coat, Wash, Dry, Slit) that require high technical aptitude and clear communication skills. Provide both technical and production support for process development, training, operations, and improvement for equipment and processes.Perform basic preventative and repair maintenance and troubleshooting on chemical, electronic, industrial electrical, hydraulics, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.Responsible for writing and revising process documentation, along with ensuring documentation is current and being utilized at all times.Self-starter that can identify improvement opportunities and initiate implementation with high attention to detail. Here, you will make an impact by:Leading day to day media operationsImplementing good manufacturing practicesDetermining day to day media operationsSupporting purification Media processes (Coat, Wash, Dry, Slit)Creating productive and engaging environmentYour Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionMinimum of Three (3) years of relevant industrial mechanical/electronic/electrical experience in a private, public, government, or military environment or possess a Two (2) year technical degree in a related technology field completed and verified prior to start, or One (1) year recent experience in chemical coating or radiation grafting in a private, public, government, or military environment.PIV Certification and must possess a current and valid fork truck drivers license.Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience with web handling systems and clean room protocolsFamiliarity with cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and laboratory techniquesAbility to travel up to 25% (1 week per month) for approximately 1 yearAbility to work overtime (i.e. 12-hour shifts and weekends) 2nd Shift 3:30pm-11:30pmTravel: May include up to 25% domestic.Relocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
