CTG is seeking to fill a Data Center Lab Technician job for our client in Sunnyvale, CA.
Location: Sunnyvale, CA
Duration: 12 months
Work Schedule: On Site, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (flexible 8 hours/day, no traveling)
Pay: $18-$21.26/hr
Duties:
Manage ticketing queue in collaboration with team members
Provide lab infrastructure support across multiple labs
Perform basic configurations for switches, access points, and controllers
Coordinate lab resources and maintain inventory control
Deliver customer support and troubleshoot various software and hardware environments
Manage server farm and hypervisor environments (KVM, VMware)
Rack and install data center equipment
Maintain open communication with various team leaders
Skills:
Knowledgeable in server hardware and software
Familiar with routers, switches, access points, and controllers
Proficient with traffic generators and testing equipment
Understanding of terminal servers and PDU equipment
Strong time management and organizational skills
Detail-oriented and dependable with a process-oriented mindset
Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
Experience:
1-2 years of experience working in a data center environment
Familiarity with ticketing tools and team collaboration
Education:
Must Have:
Prior work experience and mechanical inclination to operate basic equipment
Ability to lift 40-70 lbs
Punctuality and dependability
Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
Good to Have:
Hypervisor experience (KVM, VMware, Linux)
Knowledge of switches and server management
Experience with storage solutions
Networking experience and any technical support background
Preference for local candidates with easy onsite travel, some consideration for those slightly outside the area
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $18.00/hr - $21.26/hr. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
