Job Description

PRIMARY ROLE

To provide Damuth's 5-Star Experience to internal and external customers. Commitment to understand, respect, value, impress and champion clients by providing service and support in the technology areas of servers, printers, desktops and telephony, in addition to other devices such as cell phones, tablets, Mi-FI devices, etc. Along with networking and software support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Set-up, install, and maintain computer & telephony systems

  • Install system hardware & software upgrades

  • Install and troubleshoot computer software and ensure software licensing complies with license requirements

  • Set-up, troubleshoot, repair and maintain all devices, computer hardware, printers and peripherals, and maintaining related records

  • Assist in installing and managing system, network, and software on servers

  • Ensure network hardware/software compatibility

  • Provide end-user support; prioritize and respond to work order requests and maintains related records

  • Provide basic training on the care and operation of all devices and network systems

  • Coordinate the repair of computer equipment including annual cleaning and preventative maintenance

  • Create software images and packages

  • Assist in planning, development, and installation of technology-related systems

  • Assist in maintaining network security while promoting end user awareness

  • Maintain an inventory of company owned and/or licensed computer software

  • Maintain an inventory of company owned hardware

  • Administration and maintenance of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.

  • Management of email accounts and file servers

  • Stay current in knowledge of technologies and equipment by means of additional training

  • Contribute to recommendations for technology improvement

  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Required- High school diploma or equivalent

  • Required- Minimum of a two-year associate degree in computer technology or equivalent experience in networking or computer technologies

  • Required- Experience in computer hardware and software support

  • Required- Previous administrative experience in a Windows Active Directory environment

  • Required- Ability to monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair software/hardware issues and complete the necessary follow-up steps

  • Required- Experience working with and supporting wired and wireless network hardware

  • Preferred- Experience with TCP/IP, switching, routing, hubs and firewalls

  • Preferred- Experience working with networking equipment and/or applications

  • Preferred- Experience with Dynamics and WennSoft software a plus

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Required- Valid driver's license and good driving record

  • Preferred- CompTIA A+/Security+, MCSA/MCSP

  • Required - Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as needed
