Summary You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER JACKSONVILLE. Responsibilities You will review procedures in all areas affecting inventory accuracy, including receipt processing, requisition processing, physical inventory functions etc. You will be directly responsible for validating all physical inventory discrepancies of stock material and maintaining statistical controls. You will ensure that inventory accuracy reports are prepared and submitted as required by directives or partnership agreements. You will review programs to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements and policies. You will plan, assign, and review work to be accomplished by subordinates with due consideration to the difficulty and requirements of assignments and capabilities of employees. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a comprehensive knowledge of qualitative and quantitative tools and techniques for analyzing and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the Inventory Management, Inventory Accuracy and Audit Readiness Programs. I have experience identifying inventory processing errors (i.e., receipt and/or issue procedures) and correcting inventory discrepancies as they occur. I also have experience providing training or assisting subordinate employees with discrepancies related to inventory management. Examples of specialzied experience include: 1) Reviewing procedures in all areas affecting inventory accuracy, including receipt processing, requisition processing, physical inventory functions; 2) Analyzing historical and current inventory data to discern discrepancies, incompatibilities and redundancies; 3) Planning and reviewing work to be accomplished by subordinates with due consideration to the difficulty and requirements of assignments and capabilities of employees; and 4) Supervising the preparation of annual inventory schedule, validating all stock physical inventory adjustments and preparation of causative research packages.
