The Server technician will not be limited to handling servers they may also be required to manage LAN and WAN networks. It is essential for the person working in this position to be highly skilled in processing technology, and the various challenges that it offers.Responsibilities:Monitor and oversee various server infrastructure components and logs and ensure that they are in sync with protocolsHandle network design, configuration, and deployment activitiesRespond to calls for support through email, phone, and in person, and provide suggestions to resolve issuesMonitor servers to determine problems and limitations and provide required solutionsInstall necessary hardware, software, patches, and security updates to ensure servers stay compliantServer, desktop, laptop, printer, and wireless device troubleshooting and repair using analytic and logical skill to determine problems and implement solutionsWireless TechnologiesDisaster Recovery administrationTechnical documentation and record keepingSchedule routine maintenance tasks on assigned servers, to ensure that downtime is eradicatedIntervene in situations which require an immediate response such as internal/external virus, malware, and threat actor external threatsAssist in a customer service role, by helping users understand and work with new technologyPerform cabling and device patch paneling activities, ensuring that all devices and cables are safely securedAscertain that all systems are kept updated, through operating system upgradesOversee and monitor web performance, and network availability, and evaluate connectivity issues as and when they ariseMonitor server cloud dashboards and check that processes are running correctly and check for errorsVOIP Server and other server duties as they ariseContinuous education requirement in latest technology and version of server hardware and software, network administration, and related fieldsRequired Qualifications:Experience with configuring servers (physical and virtual), switches, and VOIP systemsAbility to troubleshoot and resolve server (physical and virtual) and network issuesExperience with Cisco networks, VMware software, Microsoft Server, Firewalls, MFA, Email, ScriptingExperience with Microsoft Server 2019/2016/2012, Windows 11/10/7, and Microsoft Office 365 Productivity Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS for Teams, Sharepoint, OneDrive)Experience with 2nd and 3rd level helpdesk, remote support, and VPN technologiesExperience with installing and configuring Disaster Recovery technologiesExperience with virtualization and imaging technologiesCommunication skills for remote support and 2nd/3rdtier helpdesk supportAble to obtain the CompTIA Security+ and VMware vSphere 7.x certifications within 18 months of hire dateCurrent COVID-19 vaccinePhysical Requirements:Medium work - Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Activity:Lifting, Reaching, Sitting, Standing, Stooping, WalkingBackground Checks Required:Credit Check, Criminal CheckMedical Vaccinations/Tests Required:COVID-19 VaccineApplication OptionsVisit MANCON at https://careers-mancon.icims.com/jobs/4968/job.
