Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Department Manager in our Front Royal, VA Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you!
Hours: Shift TBD, flexibility to work all shifts is needed.
Responsibilities
Directly oversee daily shipping, picking, or parcel operations and associates according to business needs
Manage and lead associates effectively and create an engaged, satisfied and high performing team
Supervise and coordinate shipments accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork
Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly
Provide guidance and direction to team members in proper operating procedures
Communicate with shipping, picking and parcel clerks, HQ, and drivers regarding status of outbound shipments and changes to shipping schedules
Research and resolve issues involving purchase order and shipping documents
Ensure that all documentation, freight claims, and correspondence with HQ are promptly completed with attention to detail
Promote safe work practices and resolve all safety concerns as identified
Establish and communicate performance standards to associates
Lead team in continuous improvement initiatives
Conduct counseling, mentoring, and performance appraisals as indicated
Provide recommendations for selection of new associates to join the team
Participate in regular communication and meetings of DC leadership to coordinate shift activities
Data driven decision making
Will be dedicated to a specific shift and needs the ability to occasionally work cross-functionally on other shifts
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree preferred
5+ years' management experience in supply chain distribution
WMS and LMS experience required
Strong understanding of OSHA regulations
Availability and flexibility to occasionally work on other shifts based on business needs
Leadership and interpersonal skills
Good judgment and decision-making abilities

$4,537.80 - $9,982.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
