Ferguson is seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Department Manager in our Front Royal, VA Distribution Center. If you are a proven leader in warehouse management, inventory control, process management, work-shift coordination, and are organized with great communication skills, this is the position for you!

Hours: Shift TBD, flexibility to work all shifts is needed.

Responsibilities

  • Directly oversee daily shipping, picking, or parcel operations and associates according to business needs

  • Manage and lead associates effectively and create an engaged, satisfied and high performing team

  • Supervise and coordinate shipments accuracy and timeliness with both product and paperwork

  • Ensure warehouse space is used effectively and kept clean and orderly

  • Provide guidance and direction to team members in proper operating procedures

  • Communicate with shipping, picking and parcel clerks, HQ, and drivers regarding status of outbound shipments and changes to shipping schedules

  • Research and resolve issues involving purchase order and shipping documents

  • Ensure that all documentation, freight claims, and correspondence with HQ are promptly completed with attention to detail

  • Promote safe work practices and resolve all safety concerns as identified

  • Establish and communicate performance standards to associates

  • Lead team in continuous improvement initiatives

  • Conduct counseling, mentoring, and performance appraisals as indicated

  • Provide recommendations for selection of new associates to join the team

  • Participate in regular communication and meetings of DC leadership to coordinate shift activities

  • Data driven decision making

  • Will be dedicated to a specific shift and needs the ability to occasionally work cross-functionally on other shifts

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred

  • 5+ years' management experience in supply chain distribution

  • WMS and LMS experience required

  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations

  • Availability and flexibility to occasionally work on other shifts based on business needs

  • Leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities

Pay Range:

$4,537.80 - $9,982.50

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
