E.H.Wachs currently has an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer in its Lincolnshire, IL facility. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical leadership, direction, and engineering support for the safe manufacturing of products which meet or exceed quality requirements. This role will identify opportunities and initiate actions to improve processes and production methods that safely improve our manufacturing cost, quality, productivity, product performance, and delivery to best meet customer needs, business goals and objectives.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Troubleshoot issues relative to equipment assembly, machinery function and equipment testing.

  • Collaborate with Engineering regarding product design concepts, and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

  • Work with other engineers, technicians, service, and manufacturing personnel to create and implement reliable, cost-effective, streamlined, and simplified, product and process solutions

  • Partner with Sourcing to evaluate, select and manage suppliers.

  • Develop, test, and implement process adjustments and/or new manufacturing techniques to reduce manufacturing costs and waste, and to improve safety, product quality, manufacturing efficiency, and machine reliability.

  • Revise and develop prints for current tooling and production parts using AutoCAD/SolidWorks.

  • Collaborate with Operations team and be the process expert to coach/train employees on critical manufacturing/assembly processes.

  • Maintain required quality documentation related to work processes and testing.

  • Drive ECO projects as required and be the main point of contact for Non-Conformance Report disposition.

  • Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • B.S. degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering or other relevant field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

  • 2+ years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience

  • Proficient in Solidworks, CAD/CAM design Word, Excel, PPT

  • CRM/GP experience preferred

  • Basic understanding of electrical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems as well as parts manufacturing processes.

  • Strong technical aptitude
