Responsible for conducting process and product training courses for our channel partners, sales team, educators, and end-user customers to improve their individual and organizational effectiveness to sell or utilize the ITW welding products. The individual will lead both individually and as part of a team to develop and update individual learning paths for channel partners and support updating and development of training collateral needed to achieve industry leading results from the training courses.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Training Advisor for the region, understands the distributors and sales teams' key business initiatives and goals. Establishes strategic training plans to address their needs, plans, confirms, creates, and executes learning opportunities to grow channel partners, end user customers, and sales teams.

  • Conduct effective delivery of training course content through a combination of methods, including virtual, webinar, video, e-learning, classroom, and hands on facilitation to meet each course's objective.

  • Regional Trainers are subject matter experts in welding processes, and welding products that work with all ITW Welding divisions to deliver training to Distributors, Educators, and Industrial Customers. Key training attributes include, value proposition, markets served, key features that address customer needs, and product set-up and operation.

  • Coordinate training sessions through regular communication with the sales team to understand training needs in the market and develop a schedule of courses that fit the needs of the market.

  • Develop new courses on markets and core products. Collaborate with sales team and divisional personnel to assess formal and informal training needs, determine training objectives, course design, and ensure proper topics and collateral are used during training.

  • Develop industry leading training materials in partnership with Product Managers and Marketing and Sales Team. Collateral may include multimedia resources and online tools, PowerPoints, pdfs, etc.

  • Own the customer learning experience, train, inspire, and build brand advocacy.

  • Manage the training facility to ensure it is equipped to support a safe and positive training experience for customers and visitors.

  • Assess training effectiveness to ensure incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employee work practices.

  • Partner with other functions to assess and identify training gaps (strengths and weaknesses) and develop a training plan to meet the needs of our business partners

  • Partner with others to maintain current classroom materials and teaching aids to keep courses up to date with current processes and products.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong communication skills applied when working cross-departmentally and with customers.

  • Ability to work independently, with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects at once.

  • Tactful in their approach, can be direct as well as diplomatic. Can handle conflict effectively with high personal confidence and ability to be assertive when necessary.

  • Knowledge of instructional design theory, learning principles, traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques.

  • Competency in common computing technologies, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe PDF etc.

  • Technical aptitude required, and welding experience preferred.

We seek a 3rd shift Machine A Operator to join our Manufacturing Department at our Solon, OH location. The hours of this position are 11:00pm - 7:00am Sunday - Thursday

The primary responsibilities of this position include:

  • Performs manually and/or tends machines which perform various packaging functions such as, filling, labeling, packing, or closing containers.

  • Responsible for minor adjustments, set-ups, changeovers, maintenance, cleaning and general operation of various filling and packaging machines.

  • Organizes and performs job in accordance with bills of material and routing instructions.

  • Responsible for quality inspection of goods to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.

  • Ability to identify problems and assist in troubleshooting.

  • Assists in training of new operators and assists other teams as needed.

  • Promotes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures.

  • Recommends safety improvements as needed.

  • Forklift/Tow motor experience required.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment highly desirable.

  • All other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Pay rate: $18-$20 depending on skill set and experience. 3rd shift receives a $1/hr shift differential on top of hourly rate.

  • Cleaning mixing equipment per work instructions at scheduled intervals

  • Monitoring integrity of mixes and shutting down operation if out of compliance

  • Assisting in training of new mixers and assisting other lines as needed

  • Computer experience and lift truck experience are required, must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions

  • Physical demands will include but are not limited to: constant standing and walking throughout shift, occasional lift/push/pull up to 65 pounds, climbing in/out of pots for cleaning, occasionally required to kneel, crouch, squat, twist.

  • Promoting and following all safety guidelines and procedures, and recommending safety improvements as needed

  • Maintain housekeeping at all times.

Pay Range: $21 - $25 depending on skill set and experience. Plus $.50 an hour extra for 2nd shift differential.

Primary Objective:

The Revenue Accountant is a key member of the accounting team of the MTS Test & Simulation division headquartered in Eden Prairie, MN. This position is responsible for performing accurate and timely revenue accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal controls. Test & Simulation revenue accounting is highly complex, including long-term contracts; a broad portfolio of equipment and service revenue streams; intercompany accounting between subsidiaries in U.S., Asia and Europe; and point-in-time and over time (percentage of completion) recognition methods. The ERP system and the necessary Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls are equally complex. Wide-ranging exposure includes execution of revenue recognition policies and procedures, general ledger accounting, intercompany revenue recognition, audit documentation, SOX controls, cross-functional collaboration, and month-end procedures.

Major Areas of Accountability:

  • Actively participate in the month-end revenue close process, including scheduling and processing of revenue recognition programs, preparation and recording of journal entries, performance and analysis of SOX controls, and troubleshooting and resolution of discrepancies. Apply knowledge and understanding of the relationship between the timing of revenue recognition and cost of sales, work in process inventory, deferred revenue, and unbilled receivables.

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls. Prepare and maintain SOX controls documentation.

  • Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, including research and resolution of discrepancies.

  • Assist with review of newly executed global contracts to assess contract terms for point-in-time or over time revenue recognition, subject to manager review. Document conclusion within Salesforce.

Summary:

This position is responsible for the setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment in order to produce according to quality specifications in an efficient and safe manner.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performs setup and operates a variety of in-lined equipment to cold head, point and thread-roll fasteners for commercial construction applications.

  • Maintains machinery through preventive maintenance

  • Performs quality checks in adherence to specifications sheets; will also be responsible for documentation.

  • Drives safety practices and procedures including identifying safety hazards.

  • Ensures all housekeeping practices and procedures are met

  • Performs 5-S activities and improvements as required

  • Works with other team members and participates in team events and meetings.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED, preferred but not required.

  • At least one year of experience in high-volume manufacturing highly preferred (e.g. equipment setup/operation/changeover, use of measurement tools and knowledge of preventive maintenance)

  • Willing to work assigned shift with some mandatory overtime including weekends

  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude

  • Ability to understand basic machinery

  • Prior experience with hand tools (e.g. wrenches)

  • Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution

  • Ability to read blueprints / specification sheets and follow instructions

  • Must be able to work in a team environment

  • Must have reliable transportation as this job will require travel between Roselle and Itasca

  • Successfully complete on-the-job training (blueprint reading and measurement tools)

  • General housekeeping duties

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
