This Systems Engineer position will be part of a dynamic team, working to support Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Dahlgren Division (DD) Dam Neck Activity (DNA) at Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain your active Secret Clearance.
Serco supports the acquisition and sustainment of numerous NAVSEA Programs. Our team provides engineering and professional support services across most shipbuilding programs.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco divisions to deliver quality support. Serco has been supporting NAVSEA Programs for over 40 years and has been recognized by the Navy for their outstanding contributions.
In this role, you will:
Supports all phases of systems engineering for the specific purpose of organizing, directing and leading technical efforts in the concept formulation, project planning and project engineering.
Supports networking standards, architectures, protocols and systems as it applies to training/testing devices, simulation, simulators and instrumentation.
Provides professional engineering experience in analysis, design, development, integration and test of military systems and knowledgeable in system architecture and domain engineering.
Supervise or lead multi-disciplined or matrix teams, with specialized experience in engineering disciplines or technical areas (such as visual, C4I, software, firmware, maintenance management, logistics engineering). Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Performs analysis at all levels of total system product to include concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent and 2-4 years of relevant experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 6 years of relevant work experience.
Must Possess U.S. citizenship.
SECRET security clearance is required.
10% travel is required
