Overview
MANCON, a large government contractor, is searching for a Purchasing Assistant to join our team.
Responsibilities
Research inventory for stock and assigned projects
Create spreadsheets for Inventory Reports
Obtain product information, pricing, discounts, availability of product and order status for general/repeat inventory
Review purchase orders, receipts, invoices, and associated paperwork
Research vendor and product information for general/repeat inventory
Communicate with off-site employees and vendors as needed
Create purchase orders for general/repeat inventory items
Perform basic administrative duties pertaining to assigned tasks: filing, ordering supplies, sending/receiving faxes, mailing correspondence, scanning documents, general office tasks.
Work with Accounting Department regarding general/simple billing issues
Perform special projects as directed
Assist Purchasing Department as needed
Qualifications
One year purchasing experience
Experience with Microsoft Office
Experience with inventory software programs
Experience working in a team environment
Attention to detail
Ability to perform multiple tasks as assigned
Ability to perform tasks independently with supervision
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current COVID-19 vaccination
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
