We're ooking for an experienced and enthusiastic team member to join a high-profile and challenging project supporting the US Navy. TheUnmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) SME - Will provide engineering and technical services to develop underwater systems, and to support Test and Evaluation (T&E) events in a maritime environment for the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC Pacific).You will provide technical support for our customer as part of an integrated team on-site in San Diego, CA.
This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance. This position is also contingent upon award of contract.
You will be part of a team that works closely with the customer and other Serco team members to deliver high technology Naval systems.
In this role, you will:
The individual will be assigned mission tasking and will support data collection and analysis for mine countermeasure's objectives in various harbor areas, littorals and shipping lanes.
Data analysis on R&D work on new UUV sensors.
UUV operations will be conducted from small boats deployed from shore, embarked on various Navy Units Afloat and from Forward Operating Bases.
Support of NIWC-PAC and US Navy Forces for OCONUS Mine Countermeasure (MCM) Response for MCM operations tasking, including ongoing UUV experimentation of emerging technologies related to UUV mission.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will have:
High School Diploma and a minimum of 4 years is required and related Navy/military training and experience is strongly preferred.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET security clearance. Proof of citizenship is required.
A mandatory 6-month deployment to 5th Fleet AOR (Bahrain and surrounding areas), 6 th Fleet AOR (Spain and surrounding areas), or 7 th Fleet AOR (Guam and surrounding areas). Travel, lodging, and compensation provided by company.
Periodic travel CONUS to support UUV testing and evaluation at various military bases, government facilities, or to conduct shipboard operations.
Requirement to handle man-portable UUV's and equipment; must meet the MIL-STD for weight carrying limits.
Experience and proficiency with MS Office products, to include Word, Excel, and Power Point
Able to get qualified/certified/licensed on up to 25k forklift and CAT-3 Crane.

Preferred Skills:
Experience conducting test and evaluation of Unmanned maritime systems, including gathering, recording, analyzing, and reporting performance data.
Experience developing and writing documents on programmatic subjects, such as UUV tactics and doctrine, operations, deployment guides, standard operating procedures.
Small marine craft qualifications and experience.
Side scan sonar and ROV operator experience.
Knowledge of basic electricity and electronic troubleshooting; technical background in mechanical or electrical field.
An active Secret clearance is preferred and candidates with a clearance will be given preference.
Be able to work as a team and provide exceptional customer service.
